Bold :: BB Switches Off On Removing Charging Cable
Jul 16, 2012
Two days back i put my phone on a car charger and restarted it because an app wasnt working, since then its not working. If I take out the battery and put it in it switches on but the screen goes blank in a few seconds and the phone shuts down. If i put the battery back in and plug it to a charger immediately it stays switched on till the charger is plugged in but shuts down within seconds of removing the charger, i have tried a second battery also but it gives the same message.
I switched from a 9000 to a 9700 so I bought mini to micro adapters to use on my car charger and my USB cable so that I wouldn't have to buy a bunch of new chargers.
When I plug my USB cable into my Belkin power block or cigarette adapter it won't charge, but if I plug in my wall charger or plug the cable into my USB port on my computer, it will charge my 9700. Both the power block and the cigarette adapter will charge my iPod, so I know it isn't the power block.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?
Each time I connect my 5233 via datacable and when disconnected then following happens.Current theme takes a while to appear backMessage storage memory goes to c: phone memory and i have to manually change to e:memory cardis there a fix for this, I'm running the latest firmware and using windows 7 ultimate.
I have an Iphone 4s that was purchased a few months ago. The charging cable all of a sudden would not charge my phone and I noticed there is a burn mark on the inside of the plug that goes into my phone. Is this cable covered under applecare plus warranty and should I be worried there is a problem with my phone?
When I use an older, slower charger for my GS6 overnight, my battery usually lasts all day, unless under HEAVY use of video or music. However, when I use the Fast Charging cord that was boxed with my GS6, it seems to charge to 100% at lightning speed, but then seems to lose power 5 times faster the next day. I may barely use my phone for <10 minutes during the day, and it is down to 10% by 5pm! So, fast charging = faster battery loss? I'm not seeing an upside to the Fast Charging, at all.
I recently got the Motorola Car Dock for my x2 and am having a problem where the phone claims to be continuing to charge after I've removed it from the dock. More recently the Car Dock app will exit after starting. On that issue I've checked and it is not on the auto end list and will remain on when it connects to the car's bluetooth system.
I recently got my Nokia E72, and am trying out the USB Data Cable Charging "feature" - it just does not work for me. I wonder if am doing something wrong? The process of inserting the Data Cable is quite straight forward, the phone presents a menu of options "PC Suite..." which I promptly cancel. I then get a message "Charging", and about 15 seconds later I get a message about disconnecting the charger?
The battery/ phone are now in power save mode ie battery almost completely drained - right. So, why will it not charge through the data cable - it refuses. I have searched on the interweb, but seen to be the only one with this problem. The Nokia E72 manual mentions that charing is possible through the use of the Data Cable. I am directly connected to the computer (MacBook Pro 2009 Model). Mac OSX correctly detects the Nokia E72. Do I have to be in Windows XP?
Only problem is, I'm using the same exact USB cable that I have been using for nearly 2 years. It all the sudden is switching between not being supported and charging (which is annoying, as the phone is vibrating twice every 15 seconds now). Anybody have any clue?
Today my E72 just started "charging" without being attached to electric charger or USB. It's charging for couple minutes and then stops. And that happens every half hour. I will turn it off, take out the battery and hopefully it will stop. This phone is becoming more and more buggy. At first it was fast and everything worked gr8. After time it started to give me error messages, memory messages and so on.
Over last one month, I have bought at least 4 new USB cables, and within a short period of time, these USB cables just refused to charge anymore, at least no more "lightning" signal on the apple devices indicated. While the condition of these cables are still very new, what could be the issue? I have ensure that my devices have the latest OS updated and yet these charging issues are happening more and more frequently.
About to replace 6500 Slide with X6 16gb, does anybody know if USB cable to laptop PC will allow charging or not? like the 6500 Slide does not.I know a car cigar lighter charger might work but I'm a train/bus traveller
I realize I'm careless for letting my battery die so often, but I have trouble unlocking my phone if I:let the battery die and the phone shut itself offplug the usb charger into my computer and the phoneturn on the phoneI end up being unable to unlock the phone. If I press the power button or menu button, I am prompted with the message "Use keyguard switch to unlock screen and keys" But sliding the keyguard switch has no effect.
My phone is totally dead, i cant do anything power button + volume up button , force restart button near the sim , and nothing happens , also when i connect to a usb charger the red light is blinking all the time. I need my xperia z2 back to live....
I got my iphone last year and the cable was fine but it started to crumble up wher you plug it into your phone. If you pull the crumble down it has a small hole and if you touch or move it the charger will not work so i have to unplug it and replug it in. Just wondering if i can get to apple to fix it i'm still under warrenty.
I am using my mobile Nokia N97 connected to PC for net browsing (with dial up connection). The phone has only one connecting usb slot for battery charger & data cable. While net connection is on with data cable for long time, the battery is discharging in short time. How to recharge the phone battery with data cable simultaneously while net surfing.
As of this morning, my phone no longer charges using the supplied Samsung charger. Additionally, when I UNPLUG the cable from my computer or the wall, I receive a notification saying "The dock is connected" which is obviously odd as I have actually just disconnected the cabling. Along with this message, the docking audible is heard when plugging in the charger on either the computer or the wall.
When I plug into my computer, the phone is no longer recognized as a USB device either which makes it difficult to back anything up at this point.
I do not have the lighting bolt or any blinking LED's while the charging cable is plugged in.
So far I have done the following to troubleshoot - tried different cable on both the computer and wall - power cycled the phone multiple times - checked for system updates. I am up to date. - cleaned / blown out the charging port - cleared system cache
I have not yet done a factory reset for obvious (last resort) reasons.
My 9700 turns itself off randomly even after a full charge to the point that its off almost all the time these days. I have to turn it back on by pressing the power button at which point it reboots from scratch taking upto 2 mins for the phone to come to life. I have reinstalled the OS (6) and also had the phone "reflashed" by the service provider all to no avail. I deleted all my apps but it hasnt cured the problem. The battery was replaced about 4 months ago so i dont suspect the battery (but i could be wrong as it was a generic blackberry battery). Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the issue? I dont want to have to bin my blackberry but its quite worthless as a phone right now as i cant depend on it.
For no apparent reason, Bold 9700 connection to bluetooth headest will falter. Audio will switch on and off rapidly. On the phone I can see the bluetooth symbol flash on and off and the volume indicator bar contracts and expands. Voice communication is impossible. Reboots and battery-pulls do not remedy issue. This problem occurs even when I have disabled the bluetooth connection.
Recently my battery gets to 40% and the phone switches off. Once plugged into the charger it re boots- the battery icon is then red and re charges. I've bought a new battery and this does exactly the same thing? I've got a Bold 9700 and not doing anything different than the last year! The battery has to be charged every day, but I do use apps a lot. Its the battery bar status that concerns me... Why does it suddenly go off at 40% with no warning and re charge at 0%?
My bold 9900 switches off spontaneously even though my battery is fully charged and my phone does not switch on or stay on unless its plugged into my laptop, I want to know if I should buy a new battery
Ever since my bb crashed due to a jvm error, its acting strange.when i had the jvm error i downloaded and re-installed the os via bb desktop manager on my 9700. problems i have is that sometimes the phone just switchess off. if i want to unlock it the screen stays black for around 10 seconds then it turns on and i have to enter my pin (and then it searches for my mobile network) so its basically the same as when rebooting.also, sometimes when i unlock it the screen is totally white for 10 seconds. after those 10 seconds it sais: verification security software (or something like that, i use the dutch language on it).
i am living in india and when i bought bb bold its home screen showed gsm then some day after it showed edge and now its continuously showing 3g...and signal besides 3g is searching something...now as of this my battery is draining very fast
yesterday my phone switches off automatically at battery level 15, and today at battery level 25 the phone switches off again... Then at the moment I plug my charger cable into my phone (at battery level 15) it reboots and after the reboot the touchscreen no longer works. Then I upgraded Whatsapp and rebooted my phone again to see if it is fixed, but it still isn't the touchscreen simply doesn't work... It doesn't respond when I press on screen icon or scroll or whatever I do.
I have already read enough of this great forum post, I hope in the future to helpbeginners like me, one day we had to IOS (formerly had a Galaxy S2) and now we are more than comfortable with my 4s!I have the cell phone constantly charging, either in the Dock, when I go to bed, Through The cable in my university (when I'm in class or on the computer in the Library), this because the phone if consuming battery (I have the iOS 5.0.1) and hate running out of battery (no phone) when I'm away from home. Then the doubt (I've already searched in many forums) is whether this is detrimental tothe battery of the phone, or simply when the iPhone detects that is loaded, just stops receiving load and nothing happens:
