For no apparent reason, Bold 9700 connection to bluetooth headest will falter. Audio will switch on and off rapidly. On the phone I can see the bluetooth symbol flash on and off and the volume indicator bar contracts and expands. Voice communication is impossible. Reboots and battery-pulls do not remedy issue. This problem occurs even when I have disabled the bluetooth connection.
View 2 RepliesI have a iPhone 6 (32gb) OS version 8.1.1 and a Jabra BCE-BT350 bluetooth ear piece. For the last month or two every time I make a call using my bluetooth it rings once on my bluetooth then automatically switches over to my iPhone speaker (not loud speaker, just regular). I have to get my iPhone and manually select my bluetooth device as the speaker, which defeats the safety feature of using a bluetooth. I've had this bluetooth for a while now and never had this issue until recently. Not sure its an issue with iPhone 6, OS 8, settings or Jabra.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgrade the software on my BOLD 9700 bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546, Platform 6.6.0207). Since the upgrade my handset will not connect to my Ford Mondeo car kit. I've deleted the pairing on both handset and car kit a number of times - it works the first time I get in the car but after this I just get an error message "connection failed". The car kit works fine with other members of our family mobile phones - toggling between handset and connecting everytime. I've even tried deleting the other phones from the car kit - still it will not connect. I've even rebooted the car system just in case there was a problem with the carkit.The only way I can get the handset to connect is by switching my phone off and turning it back on once the engine is running. it worked fine prior to the upgrade...

the log on the RIM site said it was a known issue and had been escalated internally.
I am experiencing a glitch with my bluetooth. It switches on automatically. After turning it off, sometimes it turns on again after a few seconds to minutes. If I am lucky enough, it acts fine for a day. Then glitching again. What can I do about this? I had upgraded to lollipop.

When the music changes songs it stops playing on the wireless speaker and starts playing thru the BB speaker. I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.
The radio/navigation system in my Elantra failed and was replaced. Upon trying to synch the Bold to the replacement, they appear to successfully connect but the contacts do not upload and when I take or receive a call, an Application.exe error message comes up on the Elantra screen. The service manager successfully synched an iPhone to the same system with no problems. The original radio worked fine with the Bold, so this is very frustrating. Because the iPhone worked OK, the service manager is inclined to say it's not the car system, it's the Blackberry -- maybe the upgraded OS software. The Bluetooth works fine with the Jawbone earpiece, which I've been using in the car while waiting for the new radio/Nav/handsfree system.

My 9700 turns itself off randomly even after a full charge to the point that its off almost all the time these days. I have to turn it back on by pressing the power button at which point it reboots from scratch taking upto 2 mins for the phone to come to life. I have reinstalled the OS (6) and also had the phone "reflashed" by the service provider all to no avail. I deleted all my apps but it hasnt cured the problem. The battery was replaced about 4 months ago so i dont suspect the battery (but i could be wrong as it was a generic blackberry battery). Do you have any suggestions on how to fix the issue? I dont want to have to bin my blackberry but its quite worthless as a phone right now as i cant depend on it.

I've bought a new battery and this does exactly the same thing? I've got a Bold 9700 and not doing anything different than the last year! The battery has to be charged every day, but I do use apps a lot. Its the battery bar status that concerns me... Why does it suddenly go off at 40% with no warning and re charge at 0%?

If I take out the battery and put it in it switches on but the screen goes blank in a few seconds and the phone shuts down. If i put the battery back in and plug it to a charger immediately it stays switched on till the charger is plugged in but shuts down within seconds of removing the charger, i have tried a second battery also but it gives the same message.

I've experienced that after a reload of the OS (battery out and in again) the conection works fine one time. After disconnection it will not work again, only after reload of OS (battery out and in) it works again for one time. This must be a bug in OS6.

Then ovi suite simply won't continue recognizing my x6. I do see my laptop been paired in my X6, but ovi-suite simply won't continue to next step. I can do "Connect to Internet" (from the tools menu) when the phone is linked via the USB cable. When it's on the Bluetooth, the option "Connect to Internet" is greyed out and not available.
Even if I go Tools -> Options, when I click "Connect to Internet" to configure something, PC Suite shows "You must connect your device to be able to change settings".
Bluetooth issues with the N97?
When I first took delivery of the N97 I had issues connecting it with the Audi BT Telephone interface. It took many attempts to get them paired. When the pairing was finally established, the N97 contacts were not uploaded to the Audi system. With previous phones (this had not been a problem with previous phones such as the 6500). The connection was also flaky - it would automatically connect for approx. 4/5 times at which point the automatic connection simply refused to work and it was necessary to delete the pairing and start all over!
I have recently upgraded the software in the N97 to v 20.0.019 (the latest available). There is no doubt this has resolved the non-uploading of the phone book - this now works well with the Audi and indeed works every time - that is if only I could get the phone to connect!
v20.0.019 may have fixed the uploading of contact information to the Audi BT phone system but it has made significantly worse the problem of automatic connection. Now, once paired, automatic connection is made just 1 or 2 times after which it is simply mot possible to re-establish connection. The ONLY way to fix this is to reload v20.0.019 to the N97. Once re-loaded, the connection is made and the contact information uploaded. GREAT! For a couple of times - then I have to repeat the whole process.
Incidentally, the Audi systems has no problem at all with the 6500, a Blackberry or the iPhone - it is ONLY the N97. The N97 BT connection to Nokia PC suite displays similar issues.
I use the phone with a MAC via Bluetooth and on my work with a Windows XP and PC Suite connected to Outlook 2007. It synchronizes wel,l everything comes in via the XP. But only once a day? A second sync says phone is not idle. Even if I force it. Strange enough the phone is always connected via Bluetooth and if I get a call I can see it on my XP. So bluetooth connection works well. But whatever I try I can only sync once.On the MAC it always works so it's not the phone I think.For the rest I have no issues with the E72 at all. Only GPS without data connection doesn't work. I have seen other remarks on this so I guess can't use it without a data subscription.

View 11 Replies View RelatedMy phone will automatically prompt to confirm the request for Bluetooth connection from the CK-7w when I turn the car ignition. When I accept the prompt it would connect. For reasons unknown when I try now it emits two beeps from the car kit and does not connect. No messages etc. I only noticed that when the prompt appears the blue tooth symbol on the phone has two ellipses around it. When I push the phone button to accept the connection a light appears to flash where the confirmation symbol normally appears and then 2 beeps and ellipses disappear from blue tooth symbol on the phone. I updated to the latest firmware on about 6 March 2012 to resolve drop outs etc.

It always takes 6 to 10 tries before it will connect.I have trawled the web for answers but nothing I have found works. The strange thing is, the others phones that I have connect first time with no trouble, so it is not the handsfree equipment. Surely Blackberry must do something about this, I am far from being the only one.
