I had an iphone 4 that was 32 gigs and now am trying to restore my new i phone 4s that is 16 gigs. I think I may have too many pics to fit into the 16 gigs. Will this create problems restoring? Can I restore this new phone and leave the old pictures out?
My computer that I back up my iPhone 4 died before I could get iOS 5 for cloud, now my 32mb phone is full, mostly of precious baby photos and videos. I cannot update to ios5 to get cloud without losing all my stored contacts music and photos. Is there any way around this without purchasing a new computer, which with a new baby we cannot afford. I could afford to pay for extra cloud storage, though.
Since 2/23, I have had massive data usage at random times. 1GB here and there, sometimes in the middle of the night. My Data Sense shows that the "Restore data" app has used 8.17 GB in the last two days. All of my other apps are using negligible amounts of data. What is the "Restore data" app, and how do I tell it to stop using so much data?
One additional bit of info: 2/23 was also the date that the Microsoft Health app updated. I use a MS Band. It seems like there may have been some type of update pending on the band. When I called Verizon's tech support, they said that the pending update might have something to do with the massive data usage. We completed the update to the Band, and they said to give it another day to see if the data usage continues. What this "Restore data" app is, it doesn't sound like it has anything to do with the Band.
My old bold 9700 OS 5 phone just died and I have a backup IPD file. My question is I just bought a 9780 phone with OS 6, will i be able to restore my data without any issues or losing data?
I have a Samsung Galaxy s5, and today I decided to clean some of my files from the "My Files" application. Usually when I clean out the files, everything will be all fine and dandy, but recently (which means, 30 minutes ago), I tapped the "Device Storage." and I did something, and It processed and everything seemed to be fine, because usually when I clean something out , for instance"videos", "Audio." or "Documents.", my photos and such are still there. But when I came back from a quick errand, I went into gallery to see that ALL my photo albums were completely gone. they had vanished, and to where I have no clue. I do not have an sd card, but I do have micro SD Sim installed into my galaxy s5, and I know for a fact that everything in your phone is there for eternity whether or not you deleted it, so right now how to gain back ALL of my five albums filled with photos. I had some beautiful photos that I would hate to lose.
I have moved my images, videos, ringtones, music (not many) and some apps that are allowed, to the SD card. The image shows that the music, pictures, videos, and some of the apps (it should be lower than 1.99gb) is still there. Am I doing something wrong? Even the SD card information still shows the total space of nothing being added..
I'm using an iPhone 4S with iOS 5.1, and am on the latest iTunes software on a MacBook Pro with OSX Lion.I have one app on my iPhone that has stopped working - it won't even open. It'll give me the launch screen, and then immediately crash. So I think I need to uninstall the app, and then reinstall it. But I don't want to lose the data I have on it. I don't need to do a full iPhone restore; that would be overkill. Is there a way to restore a single app's data without doing a full iPhone restore?I have my iPhone backed up to both iCloud and my computer, and I have the backup on iCloud set to back this app up specifically. Also: the app's developers are very slow to respond to these types of requests/issues, so I don't feel that that is a viable path.
I downloaded a new iTunes in a new PC and when I wanted to sync my iPhone, I lost all of the data, including my phone book, videos, photos and everything. Is there any way to restore the data? I am really ****** up since I do not have any back up.
I've been googling around and haven't found an answer on how the fingerprint data is stored on the phones and is it safe regardless of device encryption?
The S5 implementation of the data was horrible and Samsung is not to concerned it seems. At least Apple clearly outlines how and where the data is stored.
I have reformated my computer , installed iTunes again, i connected my iPhone 4 to iTunes and synced my iphone. Because my iphone was having problems, i need to restore it to the original settings.
I connected my iPhone to iTunes, i hit the restore button, then after restore was done, i restored the backup that i have done, but i have lost all my songs, apps, videos, and tones that i have both from iTunes. Only the photos and contacts and settings ware restored. What can i do to restore my iphone with all my data?
I synced my iPhone 4A with iTunes and it wiped out all of my calendar data. The really frustating thing is the reason I was syncing it was because all of my calendar data was not showing on my desktop Outlook client. So i wanted to sync the phone to get the calendar working on my desktop, but it ended up wiping out all of my calendar on the phone as well. So now I have no calendar data and don't know how to get it back.
I forget my iphone passcode and I restore the iphone without back up so I lost everything , How to recover the data that i lost it , there is no backup on itunes and icloud. Â
I am having a hard time finding stuff to delete, because the System Data is taking up more and more of my storage. Is there any way I can reclaim most of it back? I transferred most, if not all, of the storage consuming apps to my SD card.
I know some people are not aware that they can clear out cached data (for All Apps). Is it good to clear it out daily? I do realize that you may need to download the same data again say if you are using apps like Facebook and Zedge and many others.
I have just upgraded from a Nokia N8 to an S2 and have been alarmed at how much data I am using compared to my previous phone. My email application used 373mb of data in two days just synching two Hotmail accounts, and I don't get many emails! My Nokia was set to use push email every 15 minutes and hardly used any of my 1Gb allowance on Virgin mobile UK. I have had to set my S2 to never synch and do it manually instead, which is rather annoying upgrading to a phone which can't do what my older one did perfectly, I am using the S2 's own data usage tool to monitor my usage,I assume it is accurate?
I had an app that I had wrote down passwords and added pictures to and when I update to 5.1.1 it put my phone in recovery mode so I had to restore it and after that I got my apps back but not the information on them like the pictures and passwords. Is there a way to get it back?
I had to switch iPhones and tried to restore my Data to another iPhone. iTunes always tells me: „... cannot restore because iPhone is not compatible or backup is corrupt". My "old" iPhone with all the data on it is already in use with another config. So I went back and tried with my old one (btw. both iPhone 4s 5.1.1 iOS iTunes is 10.6.3 (25)), same message!
I restored my MobileSync folder by using TimeMachine and tried the last 8 backups to restore and failed every time with the same message. I can access the backup by using MobileSyncBrowser or iPhoneBackup Extractor. The Data is there and accessible. How can I restore the data to my iphone? Is there a way to check backups why they are corrupt an fix them? Are there different iOS5.1.1 builds? Is there a way to check the Backup for the exact iOS Build?
Are those two directories accessible without root? Yesterday I noticed that in any file manager both of those seem to be empty or in the FX File Explorer it was "Access was denied". I'm on stock 6.0
When you get your iPhone 4, will you restore from a backup to transfer your settings and data, or start out fresh and slowly bring things in?Personally, I'll probably start fresh. It also gives me a chance to trim out some unused apps and things.
I just got a replacement iPhone 4 and I was not wanting to do a restore however when I sync my apps back, is doing a restore the only way to recover game save data?
