The camera on the back of my phone recently developed a reddish-purple spot in the middle of the lense. I tried cleaning the outside of the lense really well, and it does not appear to be scratched on the outside, I'm wondering if dust somehow got inside the lense. all of my pictures now have a dot in the middle of them. Can this be fixed, or can my phone be replaced?
I haven't had this problem till yesterday, and I'm getting very angry by it not because I love taking selfies, but cause I bought this phone for $600+ and a month later its a defect?
How is this possible? I wiped the cache in the power+VUP+Home screen, I went to camera app settings and cleared data/cache, I don't know how it got there and it's VERY annoying
The ONLY thing I can think of his it got there due to heat, I went to the pool and I left my phone in my wife's purse under a shirt so the son wouldn't hit it but I guess it was still hot inside. because for a month and a half I never had the dot. and yes I've read about the "only shows in low light" ive taken plenty of low light shots and never saw if there prior to 2 days ago
I have noticed of late, when using my camera that sometimes I get purple lines going across the screen. This only seems to happen when using the camera via the native Apple "Camera" app. Â
So I just noticed something weird about an hour ago. When using the camera, I find a small, subtle, deformed line. When I zoom in to the area, it gets bigger.
I've tried other camera apps, but it's still there. As far as I know, I did not scratch the lens in any way. I took a video yesterday that doesn't have the line on it.
It was there on the Verizon 12a update, and did not disappear when I got the small update. If it gets to the point, I can easily replace the lens, correct?
I am having an issue with my iphone 5 rear camera. There seem to be a black spot whenever I take pictures. i don't recall anything that might have caused this problem. What can i do?
Okay, so camera always worked perfectly. Yesterday received KitKat update 4.4.2 and now in low light conditions my camera has a purple hue.
This is not a hardware issue. It is clearly a software issue and the 4.4.2 KitKat update appears to be garbage. My girlfriend has the exact same issue since updating to 4.4.2.
I got my Xperia pro yesterday, and when I tried testing the camera I found photos taken with it had huge translucent purple bars across them. This happened with every photo I attempted take. I then exited the camera app and went back in, and when I tried to take another photo it simply displayed "unknown error" and the app closed. It now does this every single time, meaning I cannot take photos at all.I cannot find any other reports of this issue online, and I have myself tried formatting the SD card; performing a factory reset on the phone itself and reinstalling the software using the PC Companion. None of these have worked and appears to have actually made the issue worse; now it will sometimes refuse the start the app altogether and display "Camera not available".
I have an Xperia Z2 updated with android 4.4.4. When I try to take pictures at night I just get purple photos. This started just a few weeks ago out of nowhere. Let me say that the lens is not dirty nor blocked by anything. I don't have a case. I have just restored the phone today with Sony PC Companion and still the same issue.
The front facing camera produces a purple line through the top middle of my display and when I snap a photo it remains. Is this hardware? I tested it with the google camera app as well. This is a Samsung Galaxy S6
So close to being done with this phone as much as I like it. I've had so many problems. I now have purple dots on my selfie mode camera. They don't go away and Ive done a hard reset, too. I backed up using smart switch and when trying to restore I am getting an error and can't get my stuff back from smart switch. So frustrating. And even with the reset I still am having the small purple dots.
I've searched and can't find an answer to this. Lately (more and more) my Tour is taking pics that are purple and half-screen. Anyone know why? Is there something I can do to fix this? I pull my battery every morning and charge my phone every night. Please help, I have a 2 year old who has finally decided to let me take pics of him and now I'm missing the cuteness..
While I'm not a huge photo taker, I find it really annoying to snap one and have this purple tint above it. I've noticed that my camera cover has tiny scratches in the center. I'm pretty sure that's what is causing the purple tint maybe the reflection of the light.
I can see a black spot on screen when the camera is on. Its not there when the front camera is on. I got my phone serviced 2 weeks back from an authorized service centre.
I just got my z3 less than a week ago, today I notice pink spot with the camera and all the photos I take. Is this a software issue or should I take it to sony a.s.a.p? Sample photo:
Just noticed that there is a spot on all my images, in the same location. I had this on my DSLR a year ago and had to get it cleaned. It was an oil spot on the sensor.
In every picture I take with the HTC one m8 I get a tiny black spot in each photo. Problem has been there a few months but I can't define when exactly. Bought the phone in April and have had issues with the camera haze that have now been fixed.
Why I am getting these patches on all pictures that i take. I am able to see it when i am using the camera app as well; although if i zoom the patch disappears.
I have checked that it's not an issue with the screen by opening a white background pic, also checked that the camera glass is clean.
I bought samsung galaxy s5 and everything was alright but yesterday i saw the black spot in the center of camera it stays on the pic and videos. I hard reset my phone twice i have few scratches on lens glass but I don't think that's the problem why i see that grey, black circle in center its the same size and its in the same spot as focus on cam ?
Black spot in same location on every picture / live preview of the image on the camera mode. I tired cleaning the lens, does not work. Guess its a hardware problem/ faulty lens?
Today i updates my galaxy s2 through Samsung Kies. Everything went well and it took about 10 minutes to complete. There is one small problem though i have a pink spot now on my camera!!
Several users have reported that the screen on their new 950XL has a reddish tint, turning a little whiter (more bluish) when tilting away. But as I rotate the phone vertically towards me, it starts to turn reddish and while looking at straight at it, the white is reddish. As I continue to turn the phone, it becomes truer white. I did check the Color profile and it was standard. Changing it to vivid made no difference. I am worried if this is a hardware defect or nothing much to worry about. When held at my normal viewing angle the bottom of the screen has a red cast. If I tilt the top towards me the red cast goes away and the whites are truer. So the question: does your shiny new 950XL have that as well?
I'm having trouble with my camera. it is always blurry and dim and although there was some dust on the lense, which i cleaned off, it remains partially blurry and dim. My brother and I have the same phone and the same settings on the camera (Automatic light balance, large picture size, superfine, normal color effect), but his shows up much brighter and clearer. I just turned his camera and mine on and pointed both at the same object and it was almost like night and day. the only difference I have noticed is that when you turn on your camera, to the left of the screen is a number. Mine reads 1000+ and his reads 008. What do these numbers mean? Is this what is causing the difference, and can that be changed?
I just bought my iPhone 5c a few months ago, and a few minutes ago I just realized that the color on the screen has changed colors. The colors on the screen vary depending on how the screen is angled. The colors vary from purple, green, and pink tint. I've tried turning my phone on and off as well as resetting it, and nothing is working. The color tint is just in the middle of my screen from the top to the bottom of my screen; not on the sides, however it is still very hard to see my pictures in my gallery or even use social networking sites or anything for that matter.
I just bought a new apple iphone 4S and its has green and purple striples on it when not in use, is this norm? I took it back to the Verizonwirless and they said it was from the display protector on the screen?
My I phone 4 has 4 purple stripes taking up the whole of the screen. This has happened before ( around 2 weeks ago ). I tried powering down and resetting. The phone had plenty of charge on each occasion that this fault appeared. When it happened previously I left it at home for a week whilst I was away on holiday and when I returned the battery had completely discharged itself. I plugged in the charger and switched the phone on and the fault disappeared so I'm hoping the same happens again.
I'm facing this issue with iPhone 4 GSM where the GPS purple arrow shows up whenever iPhone attempts to download or upload data (with every internet dependant app) on 3G network.
I have reset the all settings and didnt fix it, so I restored from 5.1.1 build 2B206 to build 2B028 yet the problem persists. Location services are all turned off, even the system services are off.
My phone's screen suddenly turned bright purple this morning & is now stuck this way. It will not turn off or do a reboot/reset. I've tried plugging it into my computer & the computer doesn't even register it's being plugged in.
