Apr 14, 2015I've attached a couple of pictures.

View 24 RepliesI haven't had this problem till yesterday, and I'm getting very angry by it not because I love taking selfies, but cause I bought this phone for $600+ and a month later its a defect?
How is this possible? I wiped the cache in the power+VUP+Home screen, I went to camera app settings and cleared data/cache, I don't know how it got there and it's VERY annoying
The ONLY thing I can think of his it got there due to heat, I went to the pool and I left my phone in my wife's purse under a shirt so the son wouldn't hit it but I guess it was still hot inside. because for a month and a half I never had the dot. and yes I've read about the "only shows in low light" ive taken plenty of low light shots and never saw if there prior to 2 days ago
The front facing camera produces a purple line through the top middle of my display and when I snap a photo it remains. Is this hardware? I tested it with the google camera app as well. This is a Samsung Galaxy S6
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen you have the front facing camera on with no effect, it is very laggy and choopy , however when you add an effect like black and white for instance, the picture is much smoother?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got the galaxy s6 edge about 2 weeks ago, and noticed that when I tried to take pictures with my front camera the pictures look very weird. Like everything is too bright and my face looks like i have a ton of make up on or i have been airbrushed or something. It is just very weird. I have tried turning the beauty setting to zero and turning HDR off. Still has not fixed the problem.
The back camera does not have this issue, it takes nice pictures. Also, my s4 front camera did not do this, it was a very good front camera. So i feel like the s6 front camera is a downgrade, what happened?
So close to being done with this phone as much as I like it. I've had so many problems. I now have purple dots on my selfie mode camera. They don't go away and Ive done a hard reset, too. I backed up using smart switch and when trying to restore I am getting an error and can't get my stuff back from smart switch. So frustrating. And even with the reset I still am having the small purple dots.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo about a month after I received my Galaxy S6, my front camera, the selfie camera, became very blurry. There is a small circle in the middle of the screen that is crisp and clear. The rear camera is as amazing as it should be. I don't have a screen protector covering it and it's been cleaned multiple times. I've tried everything and looked up everything I could.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know rogers will be carrying their version of the Galaxy S starting in September, but as of now, do any carriers in North/South America have the Galaxy S with a front facing camera? If not, I may just jump on the captivate.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my S6 for nearly two weeks now, and I've noticed a strange trend when taking photos with the front camera. Things that are relatively up close such as my face end up being a tad blurry whereas everything in the background is nice, sharp, and detailed. No matter how I position my face in the shot, despite it recognizing my face, it just won't bring it into focus. After a few more shots, it doesn't look like the front is auto-focusing at all. I've checked all of the camera settings, and everything is defaulted except for Beauty mode which I have set to 0. How possible is it that this is a hardware defect?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI believe this may be an issue on all devices. It seems like the issue is prominent when taking close up photos. The issue affects the top ~15% of the screen and the bottom ~15%. The only purpose of having a front facing camera is for the ease of selfie shots.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI just got my Galaxy S6 on Monday.
I've noticed that the front facing camera on my S6 will not focus on my face if I try to take a picture. The rear camera is wonderful, and I've looked at the front camera on a friend's S6 and it was fine. So it just seems to be my phone. Otherwise, I love it and think it's great.
But what's the deal with my blurry front camera?
Actually i dont know how to toggle off the beauty mode on the front camera and its causing a lag in the camera. Secondly how to enable touch focus while using the front facing camera?

While I am recording a video i cannot by any means change the camera to front facing. There is no option no icon only the capture icon on the left (in order to capture in a pic what i am shooting at the moment), the square icon to stop the video and the pause icon on the right corner.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have my galaxy s5 for about a year now. So just today I noticed that when I switch to my front facing camera a faint green line shows up across the top of the screen. My rear facing is fine and my screen it self is fine. Why this is happening. It's even on snapchat and my stock camera app.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed a strange artifact on all of my pictures and videos from my xperia ray camera - I have two bright, but tiny pink dots approximately at the center of each picture and video that I take, in addition to that - they are there even in the viewfinder I've tried multiple settings - setting the scenes up manually didn't fix it, image stabilizer off, auto white and balance off - nothing worked. This doesn't look like the pink spot issue, because... well these dots are much, much smaller.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I just noticed something weird about an hour ago. When using the camera, I find a small, subtle, deformed line. When I zoom in to the area, it gets bigger.
I've tried other camera apps, but it's still there. As far as I know, I did not scratch the lens in any way. I took a video yesterday that doesn't have the line on it.
It was there on the Verizon 12a update, and did not disappear when I got the small update. If it gets to the point, I can easily replace the lens, correct?
Attached are examples of what is happening.
After 6 months using my xperia z3 approximately, I saw a single dark faded spot on each of my pictures and just recently another spot is on every picture taken. I have no clue what caused it. I cleaned the lense and it didn't work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my phone since May with no issues. As of a few days ago, my camera app launches upside down. All the icons are upside down and if I take a photo it comes out upside down. If I turn the phone upside down, the app will flip right side up. I can then flip it back and its fine.
Also, if I'm reading something in chrome and it flips to horizontal mode it won't flip back to vertical. The same trick of flipping upside down works or I have to close and reopen the app.
I have restarted and checked the auto rotate setting. I have not tried factory reset yet but may try that. I have a Verizon phone so I can't get to the gyro calibration screen. Any other way to force a calibration?
On all my other galaxys before this sprint s6 edge in the camera you was able to go to setting and turn the feature to take pictures from a video and go frame by frame at the same time once you press pause on the video. However, on this phone i do not find that option. I have looked everywhere nothing. Did samsung remove that feature?? Or am i not looking in the right place ?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI open the camera on the Galaxy S6 Edge by pressing the camera icon. The camera screen appears, and at the top of the camera screen is the settings gearwheel icon along with Auto, Off, HDR On and Effect. But, when tapping the settings gearwheel icon the Camera Settings menu appears for a fraction of a second before the screen reverts. I can't get at the Camera Settings no matter how many times I try; the menu is on for an instant - then gone, and the screen is as before.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOkay, so camera always worked perfectly. Yesterday received KitKat update 4.4.2 and now in low light conditions my camera has a purple hue.
This is not a hardware issue. It is clearly a software issue and the 4.4.2 KitKat update appears to be garbage. My girlfriend has the exact same issue since updating to 4.4.2.
This phone is touted for its low light imaging capability. But I get this purple shade on the photos during low light snaps.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHave a severe focus delay when launching the camera?? It takes my camera (& gf's) about 10 seconds to focus. It's like the camera is set on macro when it opens.
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I have an S6e and since last week I noticed that when I double tap to launch or launch from the app the camera can take anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute to focus. I try to refocus by pointing it at a few things or touching the screen but it doesn't so anything. I haven't used the camera in a few weeks, could that be it? Sometimes I have to exit out of the camera because it doesn't focus at all but then it still takes a bit to focus on things
