I have an Xperia Z2 updated with android 4.4.4. When I try to take pictures at night I just get purple photos. This started just a few weeks ago out of nowhere. Let me say that the lens is not dirty nor blocked by anything. I don't have a case. I have just restored the phone today with Sony PC Companion and still the same issue.

The photo light is not flash it has to be manually on and off (Which is really bad).nSometimes I need to manually set the camera setting since auto mode is not better always. Friends tell me what I need to do in my xperia ray to take good pics even at the bad light conditions. Some of the apps also I tried but which are very bad comparatively with native Camera app .

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhile I'm not a huge photo taker, I find it really annoying to snap one and have this purple tint above it. I've noticed that my camera cover has tiny scratches in the center. I'm pretty sure that's what is causing the purple tint maybe the reflection of the light.

View 23 Replies View RelatedA few days ago I stupidly dropped my xperia play in the bath. I let it dry out and place in rice in a sealed container for a few days to dry it out. However when I now power the phone up the camera flash light stays on and will not switch off even going into the camera settings and turning it off. I done the software repair download from the sony website but it hasn't helped.I also purchased a new battery as well. I am guessing it's going to need repaired but I thought I ask on here if anyone has ideas as to what would be causing the problem.

While trying to take a photo in relatively dark place with flash on, whilst camera focusing, some purple clouds appear at the bottom of the screen in general (sometimes at the left side as well) I also realized that if I focus just 1 item, there is no purple clouds problem.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have noticed in low-light photos, in both Superior Auto and Manual mode that there is a blue tint on the edges of low light photos, especially more on the left side. The only way I've noticed I can really mitigate it is if I lower the ISO on manual mode, but then the photos would end up being too dark.
I have seen this issue discussed on other forums; some say it is a hardware issue, some software, and others say a camera module replacement may fix it. But I don't think Sony has officially ever acknowledged this issue, even though it is definitely present.

Some time ago my Tour started to act up. This is my Second Tour under this conract. The top row keys stopped working and then the unit would only work only when it felt like. In the password field random characters would be generated and then the field would fill up - so I remove the password. Then it would start using the voice dialing feature at random. So I changed the left button to Clock and the dialing stopped. I also upgraded to OS5.0.0.4.19. It works a little better now, but the low light condition problem means that the phone works occasionally indoors but not outside at night. For instance, it works in my Office (flourescent), bathroom (incandescent) but not in my living room (window). It is out of warrranty and i am stuck wiht 1.5 years to go in my contract. Battery has been pulled a thousand times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my Xperia pro yesterday, and when I tried testing the camera I found photos taken with it had huge translucent purple bars across them. This happened with every photo I attempted take. I then exited the camera app and went back in, and when I tried to take another photo it simply displayed "unknown error" and the app closed. It now does this every single time, meaning I cannot take photos at all.I cannot find any other reports of this issue online, and I have myself tried formatting the SD card; performing a factory reset on the phone itself and reinstalling the software using the PC Companion. None of these have worked and appears to have actually made the issue worse; now it will sometimes refuse the start the app altogether and display "Camera not available".

I just upgraded from the 8330 Curve, to this one and so far I am highly disappointed!My friend who has an iPhone said BB is trying to be more like it. From the layout of the texts to the options. It's frustrating! If I wanted an iPhone, I would have bought one...I like the BB for the features it has not for being like the iPhone.Sorry, I got a bit rant-y but I cannot believe this new version doesn't have a flash. I am loving my new HTC one. The other day I noticed a bug in the camera, when I'm taking photos in dark, the flash don't work while using autofocus. It makes all my photos out of focus. Idk if it's issue only with my phone.

I have even shot pics (in my basement) using a professional camera light to simulate day light and still the picture colors are way off no matter what setting I use or adjustment is made. View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I just noticed something weird about an hour ago. When using the camera, I find a small, subtle, deformed line. When I zoom in to the area, it gets bigger.
I've tried other camera apps, but it's still there. As far as I know, I did not scratch the lens in any way. I took a video yesterday that doesn't have the line on it.
It was there on the Verizon 12a update, and did not disappear when I got the small update. If it gets to the point, I can easily replace the lens, correct?
