I havn't been able to find the option to download new dictionaries in the Google Keyboard settings. I use to have this option when I used the same keyboard on my Nexus 4. I currently use a Samsung Galaxy s6.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I set up voice commands on my S6 under Google/Google Now. Under settings there was an opportunity to select whether you want the voice recognition just from within Google or "from any screen". I opted for "from any screen"had the "from any screen". Today no matter what I do it is just not available - the ONLY option shown is from within Google. The 'voice training' is gone, option for any screen is gone and I cannot get it back no matter what I tried.
I have tried it with TouchWiz, Nova launcher and Google Now launcher - same problem. I have tried English (US) English (Canada) and English (UK) as default language all to no avail.
Yesterday when it was "working" I definitely saw that the function was sporadic, sometimes worked, sometimes not. But now I can't even select that option.
Pretty much what the title says. My Samsung S6 is set up to use the Google keyboard and the Google Now launcher.
I'll receive a notification for a message, tap the notification, then hold my finger over the scanner to unlock and go directly to the app that notified me. The phone unlocks fine, and I'm taken directly to the app (usually Facebook or SMS)
Normally, the first thing I'll want to do is reply to the message for which I was notified, so I'll tap in the text field but receive no response. It sometimes takes several seconds for the phone to respond and display the Google keyboard. This doesn't occur with the Samsung keyboard.

View 9 Replies View RelatedJust made the switch from iPhone to Samsung S6 Edge. Therefore I decided to leave iTunes behind and switch to Google Music. I transferred all my music to Google Music and works great from my laptop. The problem is when I try to listen to my music on Google Music from my phone. It only allows me to listen to all of it if I am on wifi. But if I enable the "downloaded only" option only a few of them downloaded. The other ones are grayed out and can't play them unless I am connected to wifi. I have already spent several days trying to make this work! - Yes! I am logged in with the same google account on my laptop and phone.

To get rid of this you need to have only one keyboard ticked in settings, however there is no way to disable the LG keyboard that I can find, meaning the notification is always present.

Most people don't use/need 50 smiley face options, and I'm perfectly fine with typing : and ) every once in awhile when necessary.I'm left handed, and use my left thumb to hit the space bar when texting/emailing. About 50% of the time i accidentally hit the emoticon key and start typing all sorts of smiley faces, then have to hit the backspace key. I lose about 5-10 seconds every text message.
