My last Samsung phone was a note 3, 2 years ago. After that I went through some other non Samsung phones so I wanted to check if this was still the same:
I had bought it through my carrier and then downloaded and flashed the factory unlocked firmware via odin to remove carrier bloat.
Does this still work?

Since I leave in Greece, I tried to flash through odin the Stock firmware with CSC EUR but I had fails all 4 times. Tried with both odin 3.0.9 and 3.10. The problem seems to be the hidden file in the end, because everything goes fine until that moment. The result is soft brick. What should I do?

I tried renegade rom and wanted to go back to stock, but I can't seem to get rid of the boot/splash image it puts when you turn on your phone.
Is there something special I need to do when I flash stock firmware with odin?
Also, as I have sprint, should I be selected RTN for sprint? I had done that, was that bad?
It seems telling twrp to do advanced wipe of system and a bunch of other stuff that apparently is not normally wiped did it.

I have acquired the updated firmware for the device and am attempting to use Multi-Loader V 5.40 to flash the firmware. I am unable to force this phone into any sort of boot/recovery mode in order to load the firmware, attempted using OPTI FLASH no success. If anyone has any further instructions in order to flash this device on new firmware
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have followed these steps: Generated CDA. Nordic language! Then followed these steps! Upload "customize_upgrade.xml" to your phone and make the CDA change. So you have generated the file and you want to get on with it? Well I'll make this as short as possible.
1. Open A2uploader.
2. Click "FileSystem Tool". Re-insert the battery of your phone then connect your USB holding '2+5' keys. Release keys '2+5' when A2uploader detects your phone.
3. Browse to "/tpa/preset/custom/". Drag and drop the "customize_upgrade.xml" file to the right pane of A2uploader.
4. Click "Shutdown FS Manager".
5. Disconnect USB cable and turn on phone. You will notice a "Please Wait" prompt. This is when the CDA is changing. When the prompt is gone, turn off your phone.
But SEUS cannot find any new firmware still? What revision should the the Customize upgrade be?

Recently I've downloaded the last firmware from Vodafone Spain for the SM-G920F model using the wonderful SamFirm windows exe. The first time I got a ZIP file containing all the partition images and the second time ("Binary Nature" selected) I got the typical four files for the four ODIN'S fields.
Now, here comes the doubt, which of them should I flash? I mean, does the four files format include the PIT file for example? Or there are no differences between doing it using the ZIP file or four files format? Which is the better format/way to install it completely clean?
Is it possible yet to flash different modems/basebands? I am using a G920I on AT&T and would like to flash the AT&T modem.

In Odin 3.10.6, which option do you select to flash TWRP? I'm assuming BL is for bootloader, CP is for modem - what do you use for the recovery? AP, CSC, or UMS. I don't want to select the wrong thing and brick my phone.
In the two days since I got my S6, twice the screen has started flashing back and forth from whatever page I am on to the notification page back and forth. none of the buttons will stop it. If I go to another app, it starts alternating with the notification screen. It is nearly impossible to power off because it is on the screen so briefly, it is hard to tap and have it register.

(I'm on PagePlus using the $30/month for 1200 min, 1200 texts, and 50mb data.) That leaves me choosing between the Droid 2 and the Samsung Epic 4G. Question: Can I flash a Galaxy S Sprint Epic 4G onto Verizon to use PagePlus? I know Sprint uses CDMA, which leads me to believe the Epic could work on Verizon's network (which PagePlus uses), but beyond that I'm clueless. TWRP v2.8.7.1
I noticed it when i tried to install the Camera Mod. I tried flashing the zip, using TWRP.
It said, that the flashing was done succesfully, but nothing happened. I also tried it with anothter zip file, but still no change.
The folders which should have been changed doesn't show a change in the last changed dates etc.
I flashed from 5.0.1 AOE3 (France) to a 5.1.1 BOF2 (Netherlands Vodafone) and now i'm stuck!
It shows this:

After much roms installed now i try to check my IMEI and its diferent.
Tried flashing stock roms and nothing.
I have a strange problem on my G920T that's been bugging me for a while. After flashing a custom ROM, my EFS was messed up. I had backed it up prior to any custom ROMs. All works well n the phone except whenever it's rebooted it fails to register to T-Mobile's network.
So I have to bring up the dialer, type in *#2263# and choose Band Selection, then LTE, then LTE All (which is already asterisked) and tap it again. Only then will it register on the network and then works fine. I've tried everything under the sun including restoring EFS backup, flashing back to stock, etc., to no avail.
Any script that automatically runs the above process after reboot. I don't know enough to do so, and I'm not sure one exists.
I downloaded CF-autoroot and followed these steps and now it is stuck on bootloop. I downloaded Odin 3.10.6 and right cf-auroroot version as well. URL..."When done, you should see “RESET!” on ODIN program and your S6/S6 Edge will reboot to show something like below. This is where CF-Auto Root roots your S6/S6 Edge."It never boots into recovery and it's immposible to manually boot to it as well. It just auto-reboot and stuck on "samsung powered by android."

So I've had this phone short of a week, and I love it. For some reason today, my S6 will randomly blink a red LED notification, but when I unlock my phone, there are no new notifications.
My first 2 thoughts were low battery indicator or no service indicator, but neither is the reason.
So I've had my phone since day 1 and I haven't had any issues at all with it. It's definitely the best phone I've ever owned and I've owned almost all the flagships. However, out of know where my l_e_d flashes red and I cannot find out why. Because there is no app that I have installed that would do that and I don't have any missed calls or something like that . It won't turn off and I restarted my phone, it's really strange.

I've searched everywhere and it seems to be common. The reboot isn't working. Volume down and home screen isn't working.
I bought an unlocked At&t S6 edge. However, I don't live in the states and I've read that I can't get OTA firmware updates. My tech said I should flash it on.
Do I have to download all my apps and fine tune my settings all over again?
After flashing, for every other update that will be available will I have to do the same process every time?
