Jul 9, 2015The default sound on my verizon s6 keeps resetting to skyline .
I also still cannot get the notification sound I set in the Twitter app to stay to what I set.

Apr 19, 2015I accidentally assigned the photo option as the default for when uploading photos messenger, I hate it because it won't let them be shown in a folder format like gallery does, which gallery is what I'm wanting as my default for it.... all ways to reset the defualt app that I have found so far do not work or cover the messenger itself.

Sep 21, 2011I have a very annoying problem with my set, it keeps after a few days resetting its self to default ringtones, I will set the ringtone I want then it will reset itself which is really testing my patience.
It has the latest firmware installed it is a simfree handset so no network firmware is on it, it is straight from the factory.

Feb 23, 2011My sister (who is a Verizon customer) sent me her old Tour 9630. I am on AT&T. I've called AT&T and they have done everything they could do then told me to call Verizon for the phone to be unlocked. The long and short of it is, she got the unlock code from Verizon and now my card is being recognized however, the phone is still showing her phone number and when I try to place a call it reverts to Verizon and won't let me complete the call. Is there some way to reset all of the information so that it recognizes my phone number and AT&T instead of Verizon?

From everything I've read so far it's supposed to be the opposite correct? What am I missing or not understanding?

It looks like no matter what sound I will choose and apply (click "ready" after selecting), it will be still with "Sirius" ring. Apr 17, 2011After finally convincing my new Style to sync with my BES service (had to sync with a NEXTEL device twice before the BES server caught a clue), the Desktop mail account chimes with Sanguine Remix when new messages arrive, at the default volume of the selected profile. I've tried changing the playback sound for all obvious notifications in the selected Profile away from Sanguine Remix and the sound played back as Sanguine Remix isn't associated any longer to any of the Profile's options.Any ideas where the sound notification can be changed for the Desktop (BES synched) account? Right now I have to mute all ringers (Silent sound Profile) in order for it not interrupt my sleep. I get hundreds of alerts every day and even with Exchange rules marking messages as read and moving them to a specific folder other than the inbox, BES is catching a small percentage before Exchange marks them as read, and doing what BES does best, forwarding the messages to my phone.
Neither my hotmail nor gmail accounts have this problem since they have an option in profiles and I have configured them to remain quiet.Under Messages-Notifiers for selected Profile:Email: gmailEmail: hotmail Level 1PINtext MessagesVisual voice mail I am going to try Phone Calls Only and edit It to include Text Messages. Nov 13, 2011Some programs use the default notification sound that's in then native sound setup. I have created a "silent" mp3 for this so that it won't play an audible sound. However; this setting keeps reverting back to a default sound....something like an old phone ring or something. I can't even find this sound in the default sound files on the phone. It also plays when I plug the usb in my computer.why this file keeps playing and how to make the custom mp3 stay active?

Now that I got my scanner fixed I want to use it again but it needs the backup password which I don't have. I tried scanning my finger and it didn't work. It will not let me scan again and is asking for the backup password for it to be able to open. I am not locked out of my phone rather I just need the backup password to change some settings. I would like to know if there is a way to reset the backup password without resetting my phone and keep in mind I am not locked out and still have full access just not the backup password? I have tried android device manager also the samsung one and cannot seem to find it. I do not want to reset my phone and am rooted.

Aug 20, 2015I set it to finger print unlock and within 45 seconds of setting the lock I tried to reopen my phone and it didn't recognize my fingerprint. No big deal, that's why we have the secondary password right? Nope. It said incorrect password every. Single. Time. Which it can't POSSIBLY be incorrect because me being the small brained blonde that I am only use 3 possible passwords at any given time as it is!!!!
So I got onto the device manager and for the first few days was not able to lock it because it was already locked....so I left it for a few days. NOW I am currently on the device manager and the option to lock the phone WILL let me set a new lock on the phone....so I tried it. I go to punch in the password on the screen of my phone and it still says it is incorrect. I have now tried this at least 5 times using the most simple passwords and it still says it is incorrect.

Due to battery life that's gone down to about 7 hours from an initial average of about 11, I decided it was time to reset my phone to see if that might work (though I've taken to the less nuclear option of allowing Google to restore my apps and app data from Google's backup).
Before the reset, I'd had almost every app that could be moved to the SD card moved to the SD card.
The reset did not affect the SD card.Now, I'd like to move all my apps that can be so moved, moved onto the SD card again. My question is, since the reset did not affect my SD card (I'd even removed it for one of the two resets that I've done since last night), is there app stuff from my previous installation on my SD card, stuff that I should be able to delete now to make space for my new set of apps that I want to move to the card?If so, how do I clear out that old app stuff?
I assume that I need to...If I had Audible installed on the card before, and I now have Audible in my phone's internal storage, if I move it to the card, is there any chance that it'll recognize the previous installation, re-associate itself with it, and thus save me the time of downloading previously downloaded audiobooks?
