View 8 RepliesMy S6 is rooted. So I was going through a root app called lucky patcher and accidentally deleted the file com.google.processes.gapps. I couldn't fix it so I just assumed I would factory reset. Now the phones is stuck on the first updating page. I tried to factory reset again but still dose the same thing wen it reaches the page again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm not here to report a problem. I'm just asking, out of curiousity. Yes, I've seen all the threads, and read the obligatory items on optimizing settings for power saving. Heck, I'm a "battery miser". I have no problem with premature battery drain. In fact, I'm a "light" user of my iPhone 4s, and have no problem getting an unusually long time out of a charge! Perfectly satisfactory.
However, I do *not* have Siri turned on (fear of battery impact). I was thinking of "toying with" Siri. But I haven't found, anywhere, a discussion of the affect of Siri on battery drain. Before I bother with an experiment, may I find, read, and benefit from the experiences of others in such a pursuit? Does Siri exact a heavy toll on the iPhone battery?
Will charging my iPhone all night affect my battery at all?

My sister (who is a Verizon customer) sent me her old Tour 9630. I am on AT&T. I've called AT&T and they have done everything they could do then told me to call Verizon for the phone to be unlocked. The long and short of it is, she got the unlock code from Verizon and now my card is being recognized however, the phone is still showing her phone number and when I try to place a call it reverts to Verizon and won't let me complete the call. Is there some way to reset all of the information so that it recognizes my phone number and AT&T instead of Verizon?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI found the bold 9700 that I have now, and I've already unlocked it. It apparently has an IT block disallowing third party apps from being downloaded, I looked it up and to remove this it says to restore the factory default settings.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just sold my iPhone 5S and plan to buy the new phone when it comes out. Before reseting, I set my number to forward calls to another phone. Then I reset, removing all data, etc with it set to forward my calls (which it does).Â
When the new buyer activates the phone with a new sim card, will my forward call setting be visible to him?Â

My N73 has been slow for some time, so I've been browsing these pages for a solution. This is what I've done so far: -
I changed my log history to one dayI moved all contacts and messages to my memory cardI reset the phone to factory defaults (my code was 11111 as default btw, not 12345 as suggested).
After powering up my newly restored handset I'm saddened to say that it's just as slow as before and is driving me nuts! Does anybody have any other ideas I could try?
I recently reset my phone to factory mode and lost all my pictures. I need to recover those photos.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new E7 had an issue right out of box freezing frequently. The problem was solved by restoring factory settings and the phone works perfectly now. Unfortunately all the pre-installed wallpapers and maybe something else useful, disappeared in the process of reverting to factory settings. Where can I find those disappeared wallpapers and any applications that may have been destroyed as well?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have an Icon and I have recently updated to Win8.1 DP, I went a day or so shocked at how quickly the battery was dying and then remembered to check for running apps. OUCH! When the update was through most of the apps updated to an 8.1 version, all well and good, except that they all chose to run in the background.
I have since "blocked" most of them from running in the background, but I would like to be able to reset the Battery Saver app so I can trouble shoot which apps are still operating as a battery hog.
The default sound on my verizon s6 keeps resetting to skyline .
I also still cannot get the notification sound I set in the Twitter app to stay to what I set.
My phone was working perfectly fine this morning when I got up. I went to make a call, it wouldn't connect so I went to Restart it, it froze on the "Starting Apps" screen. I did the whole "Holding the volume & Power" It powers up like it should, but doesn't move past the Samsung S6 Edge Screen. The blue light is flickering on it also. I don't know what to do!!!
View 8 Replies View RelatedI got a new phone and set fingerprint password. It didn't really work so I got rid of it and just used a PIN. Now that I got my scanner fixed I want to use it again but it needs the backup password which I don't have. I tried scanning my finger and it didn't work. It will not let me scan again and is asking for the backup password for it to be able to open. I am not locked out of my phone rather I just need the backup password to change some settings. I would like to know if there is a way to reset the backup password without resetting my phone and keep in mind I am not locked out and still have full access just not the backup password? I have tried android device manager also the samsung one and cannot seem to find it. I do not want to reset my phone and am rooted.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI set it to finger print unlock and within 45 seconds of setting the lock I tried to reopen my phone and it didn't recognize my fingerprint. No big deal, that's why we have the secondary password right? Nope. It said incorrect password every. Single. Time. Which it can't POSSIBLY be incorrect because me being the small brained blonde that I am only use 3 possible passwords at any given time as it is!!!!
So I got onto the device manager and for the first few days was not able to lock it because it was already locked....so I left it for a few days. NOW I am currently on the device manager and the option to lock the phone WILL let me set a new lock on the phone....so I tried it. I go to punch in the password on the screen of my phone and it still says it is incorrect. I have now tried this at least 5 times using the most simple passwords and it still says it is incorrect.
How to reset your fingerprint once it's been set as security? I can turn it off and back on. But I can't find a way to re-run the setup...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S5 from Verizon, currently running Android v4.4.4. Due to battery life that's gone down to about 7 hours from an initial average of about 11, I decided it was time to reset my phone to see if that might work (though I've taken to the less nuclear option of allowing Google to restore my apps and app data from Google's backup).
Before the reset, I'd had almost every app that could be moved to the SD card moved to the SD card.
The reset did not affect the SD card. Now, I'd like to move all my apps that can be so moved, moved onto the SD card again. My question is, since the reset did not affect my SD card (I'd even removed it for one of the two resets that I've done since last night), is there app stuff from my previous installation on my SD card, stuff that I should be able to delete now to make space for my new set of apps that I want to move to the card?If so, how do I clear out that old app stuff?
I assume that I need to...If I had Audible installed on the card before, and I now have Audible in my phone's internal storage, if I move it to the card, is there any chance that it'll recognize the previous installation, re-associate itself with it, and thus save me the time of downloading previously downloaded audiobooks?
I recently updated my Neo v to ICS...I wasnt able to see songs album images in music player...so i did factory reset...music player problem is solved but now my cell is consuming too much of battery then before... Also google market is not opening...internet browser is slow.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using this unit for just over a year and now the battery is acting up. I've reset to the factory setting but the battery still keeps dying without any warning. When I charge, it takes less than 10min to reach 50% but it dies faster. There are no other apps running on it now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently have been having some weird problems with my HTC One M7. My battery has been draining a heck of a lot faster than it used to. It has also been lagging quite a bit. Sometimes extremely.
For example. One day it drained 40% in one hour. As I am typing this, it has drained 6% in like 3 mins. That's insane.
For an example of lag, it has been registering short presses as long ones, or taking a long time to pop up the lock screen, or open the app drawer. Some times a few seconds.
I recently installed the newest sense update, and installed tasker from aptoide, but then deleted it.
When I tried to factory reset it, it does nothing. Same for removing device admins. ( I was trying to uninstall ac display).
I have someone from another forum claiming that using a screen protector will permanently affect the screen of the iPhone 4 were they to choose to remove it and go naked. Affecting it's "beauty" and "smoothness". Is this BS?
