View 1 Replies View RelatedIs it necessary to factory reset after lollipop ota? i have not been having issues and no battery drain. Yes there is a little bit stutter here and there but no app crashes, battery drain or my device getting hot.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI installed the lollipop update and now get constant "unfortunately, the system UI has failed. This happens for a variety of reasons and has rendered my phone pretty much useless for anything other than making a phone call. Most of the other accessories, apps and program either only have limited functionality or are unstable and shut down.
So, What is the best method/process to reset my phone to pre-5.0 and/or to reinstall 5.0
I am another dissatisfied user who just upgraded from 4.4 to lollipop. I am having problems with the autowiz prompt coming up often like other users, how to back up this configuration before i do a factory reset. If I backup with kids, will I lose anything we. I recover the backup onto a fresh lollipop system?
View 1 Replies View RelatedVerizon Samsung S5 with Kit Kat and want to update to the latest Lollipop. The question is about restoring all the apps and data after a factory reset after the upgrade.
1. I have moved a lot of programs to the SD card- do I need to move them back to Device Memory?
2. If I sign in with my Google account after the Factory Reset after the OS upgrade, will all the apps automatically be restored/installed?
3. I have the Google backup set automatically and restore automatically- will the data and settings be restored as the apps are restored once I log into my Google account?
4. What about all my internet email accounts (Comcast, GMail, etc.)- will they automatically be restored for the messages that are on the S5 and automatically connected to the accounts or do I have to reset these up again?
5. The S5 is also my work email, which is an Exchange Server- will the Factory Reset mean that my IT dept. needs to reestablish the connection between the S5 and the Exchange Server or will that happen automatically (if emails are part of the automatic restore?)
6. I have Keis 3 installed on my computer- should I use this as a backup and restore instead of relying on the automatic Google backup and restore?
When I leave it on standby for 8h I notice that it uses 40% of the battery even-though wifi and Bluetooth are off. How come? One time I left for 2-3h. Bluetooth and wifi on and even-though Bluetooth wasn't used (only gets through when a call comes in while I'm driving) and the internet just a little bit it used almost 50% by the time I was back. I'm pretty sure thats not normal.I wonder if the battery doctor app will do any improvement to that.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 3GS IPhone on 5.0.1. It's been working well for several months, no issues. This past weekend I dropped the phone, but luckly there was no physical damage, and it seemed to work fine afterward. But I noticed that it started to drain the batter much faster than it had before that. I go from 100% down to zero in about 6 hours just by having it sit in my pocket locked. It's also noticably hotter than before.

View 1 Replies View RelatedInitially, my phone worked quite well; battery lasted very well; daily charging was sufficient. Then, something changed a few months ago that has vastly increased power usage. Battery charge does not last past three to four hours. I even replaced my battery -- to no avail. Challenge continues. I am close to discontinuing phone usage and replacing brand.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi got this issue with my iphone since yesterday. It woked me up as usual and i noticed that it was realy warm but haven't thought much about it...was too early So i go to work as usual...then i noticed that the battery drains realy fast (like 1-2% in a minute of usage) and getting very warm on the back right beneath the rear camera (same spot is getting hot while charging). I also noticed that the auto-focus of the rear cam isn't working (also manual focus doesn't work).
I upgraded to IOS 5.1 and also reset it to factory defaults and also generate a new profile for it so no old settings are used. But the problem sill persists :/ As long as it is in standby everything is alright if i use it (even browse through tabs) it starts draining and getting warm

I Have been experiencing in the last three months some serious battery issues. My battery goes from 80% to 20% in half an hour!!
The battery is so bad that it drained 10% while writing this discussion believe it or not!! Even though I tried everything to minimize my usage like turning off LTE and location and keeping brightness at minimum. Its driving me crazy because I've going around every where holding my charger because my phone goes from full battery to zero in a two hours or three if i'm using it lightly. What should I do? Keep in mind that the warranty expired several months ago.
My battery life is horrible. I can barely get a day done and when I stop using it, the battery drains really fast by about 10% in a few minutes. I'm a huge Sony lover and the fact that I can't get the actual amount this Z2 is capable of is really frustrating. p

Noticed that the battery drains faster with Lollipop, lasts now 2/3 of the time compared to before upgrade. All battery saving settings are set as before.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought z3 dual and just moved from windows to android. I am pretty new to android os and I am honestly liking it a alot.
However, I am really disappointed by the battery performance of z3. The phone is running android lollipop the latest.
I'm an early adopter of Android (coming from iOS) and this is my first android phone. I've been reading and some posts suggest that I should do a factory reset after the update.
I wanna hear your thoughts about this, is it necessary? Knowing that android doesn't have a good backup system unlike iOS, it's time consuming to move everything back where it was. Do the benefits outweigh the cons? My G3 has never been rooted btw got no intentions to do so.
