View 1 Replies View RelatedI just sold my iPhone 5S and plan to buy the new phone when it comes out. Before reseting, I set my number to forward calls to another phone. Then I reset, removing all data, etc with it set to forward my calls (which it does).Â
When the new buyer activates the phone with a new sim card, will my forward call setting be visible to him?Â

Everyone says go to options - security options - general options - wipe handheld.
When I go to security options, all the options I have are:
Advanced Security Options
Encryption
Firewall
Information
Security Wipe
I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to really reset the BB to the factory settings?I am running 5.0x firmware, and the Options/ Security Options/ General Settings/ Menu/ Wipe Handheld function is not present anymore! (I saw it when I had 4.6.x..)So I tried this (from Mac, as on XP I can't locate the loader.exe file): http://www.blackberry.com /btsc/ search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=KB18998 but it actually did not really clean my BB, it kept for example all the apps I installed which are the reason why I would like to reset the BB! it also kept the 5.0.x firmware, while when I got the BB it had the 4.6.x firmware. I really would like to go back to the original status. any suggestions?

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy sister (who is a Verizon customer) sent me her old Tour 9630. I am on AT&T. I've called AT&T and they have done everything they could do then told me to call Verizon for the phone to be unlocked. The long and short of it is, she got the unlock code from Verizon and now my card is being recognized however, the phone is still showing her phone number and when I try to place a call it reverts to Verizon and won't let me complete the call. Is there some way to reset all of the information so that it recognizes my phone number and AT&T instead of Verizon?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI need help with my device, I'm currently now using 8900 Curve and my cousin about to buy it but I want to put it back to factory settings. What I exactly want is to delete my "x.jxxxxxxx@blackberry.orange.co.uk" from my device or any registry in the software and device. The Email Settings : add more account envelope is missing ! I activated my host route table 100% fine, but I cannot set up a personal email, only a enterprise one.
Note: Some wireless service providers and third-party device manufacturers have processes called master reset, factory reset, or master clear, which erases all user data and settings for non-BlackBerry carrier devices, restoring them to a "factory" or "out of box" state. The wipe handheld command performs this same function on a BlackBerry smartphone:
