Is there a way to adjust the microphone settings on the 8520 model? I have a brand new phone and the the microphone appears to be very weak because the other end of my phone calls can barely hear me.

Lately they have been getting mad at me for putting the passcode on there and they know that after 5 wrong guesses it locks you out of your phone for 5 minutes. Is there any way to edit the files that control the passcode and remove the setting that locks the phone after 5 wrong guesses? I just don't wanna wait 5 minutes to use my phone after they do it on purpose.

But when I am in direct sunlight I can not see the screen well enough to find the brightness settings to adjust them so I can use the phone.
I currently use the Android Power Control Widget to change my Brightness settings. It does a good job for me, except in the above mentioned issue. I have looked in the Android Market Place, but most applications just talk about predefined brightness settings. I found one called Custom Auto Brightness, but it does not seem to work on the Droid X.
My iphone 5s tells me that my settings need to be changed in order to watch video playback if I'm not on Wifi. I go into settings and everything looks right but it still will not allow me to watch video playback through cellular connection. What do i need to do?

Email Set-up. I recently bought a Curve 8520 blackberry and got it unlocked, I got problems regarding setup-in my email. I should go to set up. Click set up wizard then email setup. And only one is appearing in my device which says: I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server.
The Email Settings : add more account envelope is missing ! I activated my host route table 100% fine, but I cannot set up a personal email, only a enterprise one.

I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?

How to install the correct settings for mms and also to browse internet (manually). I have rang my service provider and they stated I could not get the settings sent to my phone so they would email me the right settings so I could do it manually. I was really impressed with the phone at such a cheap price since I am a teen, the 8520 is perfect for me. But I downloaded a few apps which I can use at home when theres wifi but i cannot use the Twitter, Facebook, UberTwitter apps when not at home (No wifi). Does anyone have the same problems? When i try to log in or connect without Wifi, It does not connect. And on Ubertwitter, The app keeps running but it doesnt connect to gprs/wap. However now , it also changes her bbm picture and it would not change even if she changes it herself now her bbm picture is stuck as well.I forgot where i went to change this overwrite picture setting...

I have seen the message in the Blackberry manual that says that this might be controlled by the provider - in this case Vodafone. I have contacted them but they say they have no control over this. They can provide me with a code to extend the time before it goes to voicemail but it does not affect the number of rings. I can amend the volume and I have control over the vibration and LED but I can't change the number of rings from the current 1.

Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.
