BB Curve :: Possible To Manually Install MMS / Internet Settings On 8520
May 13, 2011
I recently purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 and from day one I havent been able to access internet and send mms from my phone. How to install the correct settings for mms and also to browse internet (manually). I have rang my service provider and they stated I could not get the settings sent to my phone so they would email me the right settings so I could do it manually. I had followed all the steps from email but still nothing.
how to manually install internet browsing settings on my 8520 curve? my operator bsnl has sent me the settings as bsnlwap but i cannot browse the internet.
My partner has a BB Curve 8520 and tried to install an app from bbworld yesterday, the phone restarted and now gets 3/4 of the way across the bar and fails to load anymore, Ive done some research and realised i need to reinstall the os, The problem being we only have one usb lead and i use that to tether internet through my bb torch, Iv downloaded the installation files but whenever i start it 'checks for updates', which i believe means online, it will not go past this step, Is there a way to manually reinstall the os without having to connect to the internet? If i try connecting to the desktop software it recognises my device and pin but says it cant connect so needs to update, and leaves me with the same problem.
After speaking to O2 for a few days now to send me the Internet and MMS Settings which failed to download each and every time, they have now sent me

2) Picture messaging settings: Data Bearer: PR Access Point Node (AP): payandgo.o2.co.uk User ID: paying Password: password Authentication: Normal Gateway: 193.113.200.195 MS Message Server: http://mmsc.mms.02.co.uk:8002 Session Mode: Permanent.
Them. ^ I'm now confused as to where I enter them. I have the Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro.
im hoping this will make my problem come across easier, I think the problem im having connecting to the bbm and facebook etc on my phone through wifi is that after id been using them fine while connected to wifi, i had blackberry settings sent to me via vodafone. Now im looking to go back to bein able to connect through wifi as someone else is using the phone, so would i have to restore the original setting and if so how do it do it?
I brought a new BB 8520 last night. Now I am trying to connect my BB device with wifi, it shows that my device is connect with wifi. But the moment I try to use internet on it, it gives me a message that check your settings. I did the settings again and again. But no result shows. How I can use it.
I have the BB 8520 with AT&T and they, of course, haven't released version 5.0 for whatever reason. So if I install one of the leaked or official (if there is one) versions, will everything still work smoothly? And where can I find the most recent 8520 OS 5 file? And where on this site are the instructions for manually installing OS versions?
I accidentally deleted my task program on my bb. I'm on an exchange with bad tech support. is there any way to just reinstall the app? i've tried the DM and looked on App world.
I installed my Facebook app found on the application world on the phone last ight. After it successfully installed the phone asked me to reboot. By doing so the phone went of, But does not come on agian. The red light flashes ans flashes and.. Anyway, then it goes on and of and on and of..I only had the phone for a couple of hours, after Vodacom gave me 1 back, because my prevoiuse one kept on taking green photos. That one i only had a week. i waited 3 weeks for the other one to arrive, and now this... is it just a BALCKBERRY RED CURVE giving this problems or what. Non of my friends has a red, and theirs are working PREFECT. 2nd unit had a sticker at the back - " REFURBISHED UNIT"?
i bought this phone yesterday and i cannot find a way to add gprs settings to this phone ,service providers are still not have any settings to this phone yet. i know the apn and all but the add new option that all other nokia phones had is not thereconfused i think im not the only one whos having this matter
The twitter application I was using stopped working and was constantly crashing my phone. I deleted the app, yet the settings and options that link in with other apps still remain (instagram etc). Whenever I click on these my phone crashes. Is there a way to totally remove all traces of this? I have tried backing up restoring, updating and a hard reboot yet nothing has worked. It's driving me up the wall.
I haven't been pushed updates 5.9.901 or 5.9.902 from Verizon. Is there anyway I can manually install these? I have tried going into settings and pulling them down but it says my phone is up to date even though I have 5.5.893 currently.
installing the OS 5 on My 8520 as i can't intsall any new applicationsI downloaded the BB desktop software & also the OS 5 , and i've tried sevral times to upgrade my OS but i always recieve a message that there was an error in intsalling the OS 5.0 & really iam getting mad
I own a BB Curve 8520. I have it for 1 month now. I have been googling on HOW TO INSTALL FACEBOOK for my BB. Unfortunately, I didn't find one. And my app world isn't working. Even if I use wifi or mobile internet.
Email Set-up. I recently bought a Curve 8520 blackberry and got it unlocked, I got problems regarding setup-in my email. I should go to set up. Click set up wizard then email setup. And only one is appearing in my device which says: I want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise server.
The Email Settings : add more account envelope is missing ! I activated my host route table 100% fine, but I cannot set up a personal email, only a enterprise one.
Note: Some wireless service providers and third-party device manufacturers have processes called master reset, factory reset, or master clear, which erases all user data and settings for non-BlackBerry carrier devices, restoring them to a "factory" or "out of box" state. The wipe handheld command performs this same function on a BlackBerry smartphone:
i'm zuerin. i'm using blackberry curve 3g - 9300 How i want to install back my internet mail account?
I think I have accidentally deleted it Because when i click setup > email accounts > internet mail account (cannot be click)So i guess i need to download the internet mail account software once again?
When I download it from the Opera site, it says it installed, but when I try to run it. It gives me another installing progress bar that reaches half way through then says "Unable to connect to the Internet, check your settings" although I have a BB internet connection that's always on. I tried the remove battery trick but that didn't help.
Is there a way to adjust the microphone settings on the 8520 model? I have a brand new phone and the the microphone appears to be very weak because the other end of my phone calls can barely hear me.
I've recently bought a curve 8520 on vodafone, but I can't seem to get internet on it. Everytime it says'' Unable to connect, contact your service provider'.
