It gives me another installing progress bar that reaches half way through then says "Unable to connect to the Internet, check your settings" although I have a BB internet connection that's always on. I tried the remove battery trick but that didn't help.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have bought a new BB Curve 8520. On my desktop I have Windows 7, with Microsoft Outlook 2007. My e-mail is a Windows Live account through Office Live, which I believe is a web-based e-mail account. This means, in order for me to get e-mail in Outlook, I have to use the Microsoft OutlooIk Connector. When I go to sync using Desktop Manager, I first try and install ntellisync through the Wizard and I get a “successfully installed message, but when I click “OK” the error: "Folder is no longer part of system data source or the folder could not be found” appears and I am never able to sync successfully, either through the USB or wirelessly. I have uninstalled and re-installed the Desktop Manager many times. However, I am receiving the e-mails through to my BB. But if I'm unable to sync Calendar, Tasks or Contacts etc. with my Desktop, the BB is not a lot of help or benefit to me.

By doing so the phone went of, But does not come on agian. The red light flashes ans flashes and.. Anyway, then it goes on and of and on and of..I only had the phone for a couple of hours, after Vodacom gave me 1 back, because my prevoiuse one kept on taking green photos. That one i only had a week. i waited 3 weeks for the other one to arrive, and now this... is it just a BALCKBERRY RED CURVE giving this problems or what. How to install the correct settings for mms and also to browse internet (manually). I have rang my service provider and they stated I could not get the settings sent to my phone so they would email me the right settings so I could do it manually. I used the BlackBerry Desktop Software and clicked the "Update my device" button in updating my BlackBerry Curve device software version. The process was started last Monday, November 15, 2010 but until now is not yet finish (Thursday, November 18, 2010). Is this normal? When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS.
