Sep 12, 2011The camera resolution setting resets to Widescreen every once in a while. This didn't happen with 2.4.330.I had it set to 5MP yesterday, and today it's set to Widescreen again.

Jun 30, 2010Everything works ok except the built in camera !It is a very strange and unusual behavior , it is not broken but it works at totally random times !i tried everything i could but i did not succeed in finding a right pattern that makes it working all the time.I just have to turn the phone on and off all the time and HOPE that it will work.
It was like this since the beginning but i tought that a new OS update would have fix this problem , unfortunately after the latest OS updates (just done it last week) nothing has changed , The camera just works when it wants to at random times !it has 2 way of acting either i see the red circle on top for few sec and nothing happen
but the camera is active in the task manager .. but i cant kill it (the exit camera has no effect at all !) or it just works straight away ! very werid !What do u suggest that i should do ? Do i have a defective unit ?in fact when it works is ok so it is not the CCD Camera for sure but is more like an OS problem to me.i have also reset the mobile many times to the default settings

May 16, 2012The twitter application I was using stopped working and was constantly crashing my phone. I deleted the app, yet the settings and options that link in with other apps still remain (instagram etc). Whenever I click on these my phone crashes. Is there a way to totally remove all traces of this? I have tried backing up restoring, updating and a hard reboot yet nothing has worked. It's driving me up the wall.

Jul 5, 2010I've done a search and read some previous posts, and cannot work out why my N900 is randomly rebooting.I have manually restarted my phone and checked the boot count is reset to 0
I have attempted doing a nokia software updater firmware update and it confirms i'm on the latest firmware (10.2010.19.1) and i've used the app updater and updated all apps. It has happened before i enabled the extras-devel repository, so I doubt the fault lies there.
Since i restarted the device prior to running "cat /proc/bootreason" i can't find out the reason why it rebooted, but i will update this post as soon as it does it again.
I recieved this phone from Optus Australia, and is running a number of apps from both the ovi store and the app manager. The only apps i have installed from the extras-devel repository are unrar and unzip apps, although i did note that it updated a few other apps at the same time, like flashlight.

Mar 31, 2012I have an iPhone 4s, currently with iOS 5.1. I use it with my desktop computer which runs Windows Vista (and has the latest iTunes installed 10.6), and my laptop, which has Windows 7 and the latest iTunes. I use iCloud and Photo Stream primarily with the desktop computer. Since receiving the iPhone on launch day, (Nov...14?, 2011), I've had to "Set [it] up as new" twice, most recently this morning. After setting it up as new, the Camera Roll starts over with pictures at IMG_0001.JPG. That means, that, after my first picture after this latest reset, I'll have three pictures all initially named IMG_0001.JPG, and instead, I'll have IMG_0001.JPG, IMG_0001 (1).JPG, and IMG_0001 (3).JPG in my photo library. This robs me of the ability view my photos sorted by name, which is often the default sort order in my photo folders, and still see them chronologically. I can, of course, sort them by Date Created, but it would be more flexible if I could do either one.
Therefore, I'd like to set Camera Roll to start numbering its photos starting with whatever the next number higher than all the rest in my library would be, in this case, IMG_0553.JPG. I can't just use Windows to go into the iPhone's Camera Roll and rename the first photo I take to be IMG_0533.JPG. The iPhone just doesn't allow tampering with the filename that way. Can I even count on Camera Roll to note the presence of the highest numbered file in its folder and then just name the next picture taken the next higher number? Since I have no reason to believe that I won't have to reset the phone again, I'd like for whatever method I find to be one that I can use to set the Camera Roll to start at whatever other number I need when the time comes.
UPDATE: So what I tried to do was, with an empty Camera Roll, I uploaded a picture with the filename and number that I wanted (IMG_0533.JPG) into my Photo Stream, then saved that picture to my Camera Roll, hoping it would retain the file name, and then Camera Roll would just use the next number. That didn't work. It saved into Camera Roll as a brand spanking new IMG_0001.JPG.

May 16, 2015A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.

Mar 14, 2012What does the "Reset Network Settings" option do? I found this suggestion under the "calls connection issues" topic and all it says is that it will "clear current cellular and Wi-Fi network settings, saved networks, Wi-Fi passwords and VPN settings" but doesn't go into any details of what happens next. Will the phone just automatically reassign the proper settings or will I have a dead phone? I'm on Verizon and have iPhone 4S, OS 5.1 The reason I went looking is because when I first got the iPhone in Jan 2012, I would have issues with calls going straight to voicemail even though my phone was on and showing strong reception. The phone wouldn't ring or anything and then I wouldn't get my VM messages until hours later. This would also happen with text messages. I didn't even know there was an issue, nothing on the phone indicated anything like missed calls or bad/no connection, and would only find out when friends told me or I'd listen to the VM. And it didn't happen all the time just every now and again.
So I had to call Verizon several times and on the last call they refreshed my network line, so I didn't have to do a phone wipe/reset, and that seemed to do the trick. But just today I discovered that now calls are just ringing, but not ringing on my handset. So I have to dial *832 to test the line, which passes, and then everything is fine again:calls come through, and all texts that were held in purgatory while this anomaly happens, come through immediately. So I'm wondering if resetting the network will solve my issue. Is anyone experiencing the same? BTW, yes, I've checked the most obvious thing, and no, I do not have my ringer silenced, off, or have the switch on red.
