The twitter application I was using stopped working and was constantly crashing my phone. I deleted the app, yet the settings and options that link in with other apps still remain (instagram etc). Whenever I click on these my phone crashes. Is there a way to totally remove all traces of this? I have tried backing up restoring, updating and a hard reboot yet nothing has worked. It's driving me up the wall.

Selling my 3gs on craigslist....its currently jailbroken on 3.1.3....do not want to lose that firmware and from i understand if i try to restore thru itunes, it will automatically retore to 4.0.2 which the buyer doesnt want for obvious reasons. Is my only option to manually delete apps, contacs, remove sim and such? am i still at risk after all that?

How to install the correct settings for mms and also to browse internet (manually). I have rang my service provider and they stated I could not get the settings sent to my phone so they would email me the right settings so I could do it manually. I don't use the Personal Hotspot feature on my iPhone 4S, and don't plan to in the future. I wanted to look at it in the Settings by going to General>Network<Personal Hotspot. However, once I did this, a new Personal Hotspot button has appeared on the main screen in Settings. Before, the first section of the main screen consisted of Airplane Mode, Wi-Fi, Notifications and Location Services. Now, it has Personal Hotspot in between Wi-Fi and Notifications. Is there any way to remove it from the main screen? (since I'm not going to ever use it)

My husband has the settings on the calendar all messed up .... he originally had my Google outlook calendar and his sync'd on his old S4 phone but his settings are messed up on the New S5 phone and I cant seem to get it corrected, the phone wont sync the calendar at all I've tried to clear the data and cache and stop the app. I don't see anywhere to delete the settings, hitting edit does nothing.
That doesn't work, cache and data clear....I think it might have to do with when we originally set up the phones on mine I told it I didn't want to use the samsung calendar and put in the info for my outlook calendar on my google acct. but I cant get that question about the samsung calendar to come up on his now that its been set up once and it keep telling him to log in to his samsung acct when he tries to sync it?
I have gone to Settings>Access Point to try and edit APN as my MMS sends but does not receive on Vodafone. There appears to be no way to Edit or Delete APN's already on the phone?? No little '..' to press on at the bottom right. The phone I have is an unlocked one from Clove UK. why I cannot edit/delete an APN? got MMS on Vodafone working?

I can put a iPhone together with my eyes closed but when you are talking about jailbreaking and syncing I havent done much of it so I need some help. I have a 3Gs 16gb 3.1.3 NOT jailbroke or unlocked. I didnt see the need before so I updated it and now I want to tether with my pc backed it up before I sent it in to Apple for warrany work. I transferred my info to a 3G 8gb that was 3.1.2, it is jailbroke. when I transfered my info from my 3gs it changed my 3g to 3.1.3 (but it did not updated the firmware through iTunes cause I was watching for it) but anyway the 3g is still jailbroke.
I got my new 3gs from Apple today and want to syn my old info plus maybe some new info from the 3g over the last several days and put it all on my 3gs. I really only need my contacts, my text messages, and apps if I can but I can manually download the apps again if need be but I have 100's of contacts for both of my business.
IPhone 4 will not switch on manually and when plugged on charge via mains it tells me to connect to itunes. Will also not restore.

Ever since I got iTunes 10 I have been having problems with podcasts.
My iPhone 4 will not allow podcasts to be manually added. It will only allow podcasts to be synced by playlists. This is a pain because podcasts constantly get new episodes and I shouldn't have to create a specific playlist EVERYDAY. By the way the "manaully add songs and videos" button is CHECKED and has always been checked. The only time I'm able to manually add podcasts is when the iphone syncs the podcast playlist. And sometimes this doesn't work.

I am a OSX 10.7.3 and iOS 5.1 user and am unclear about sync'ing movies and videos from my mac to my iPhone. I've done lots of this in the other direction but I'm trying this direction for the first time.
On the iTunes Summary tab I have selected Manually Manage Music and Videos. Now I want to select Sync Movies on the Movies tab but I get this message: "All existing songs, movies, and TV shows will be removed from your iPhone and replaced with movies from your iTunes library." I'm very confused by this message.
Why would iPhone songs be removed when I'm trying to sync movies? Any other words of advice would also be apprectiated.

My iPhone 4 has developed a weird quirk. Last night is seemingly turned it's volume down on it's own. Now I am unable to manually adjust the volume. I have tried all the tricks: reset phone; restored phone; mute switch is in the "off" position; and under the Sounds settings "change with buttons" is "on"! To make things even more strange; when I received a phone call earlier I could hear my ringtone; but, no other tones are audible (messages, etc).

Last year when Apple upgraded their software, I lost the ability to sync my iPhone and iPad to my iMac. Because I store a lot of personal customer data, I want to sync directly, not through iCloud. I read in August 2013 that Apple was in the beta version of a fix for this problem, but have not seen any resolution in software updates that I have downloaded.Â

My sister's iPhone cant get music from more than one computuer. I choose manually manage music on our family PC, select it then tells me I have to erase and sync. I do that but then when plugged into my sister's laptop the manually manage music option is no longer chEcked and if i check it i have to erase and sync again, this happened with her iPhone 4 too.
