Jul 16, 2015So after installing xstrestolite custom rom, Smart Switch on my pc doesnt connect to the phone. Usb storage works just fine, and the pc detects that it is Galaxy s6 connecting, but Smart Switch says "failed to connect to device". Now I do have the backup file in my pc, so could it be possible to move it to my phone and restore it from there? If so, how?

May 9, 2012I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

Mar 5, 2010I can put a iPhone together with my eyes closed but when you are talking about jailbreaking and syncing I havent done much of it so I need some help. I have a 3Gs 16gb 3.1.3 NOT jailbroke or unlocked. I didnt see the need before so I updated it and now I want to tether with my pc backed it up before I sent it in to Apple for warrany work. I transferred my info to a 3G 8gb that was 3.1.2, it is jailbroke. when I transfered my info from my 3gs it changed my 3g to 3.1.3 (but it did not updated the firmware through iTunes cause I was watching for it) but anyway the 3g is still jailbroke.
I got my new 3gs from Apple today and want to syn my old info plus maybe some new info from the 3g over the last several days and put it all on my 3gs. I really only need my contacts, my text messages, and apps if I can but I can manually download the apps again if need be but I have 100's of contacts for both of my business.

Mar 27, 2012Ever since I got iTunes 10 I have been having problems with podcasts.
My iPhone 4 will not allow podcasts to be manually added. It will only allow podcasts to be synced by playlists. This is a pain because podcasts constantly get new episodes and I shouldn't have to create a specific playlist EVERYDAY. By the way the "manaully add songs and videos" button is CHECKED and has always been checked. The only time I'm able to manually add podcasts is when the iphone syncs the podcast playlist. And sometimes this doesn't work.

Apr 1, 2012I am a OSX 10.7.3 and iOS 5.1 user and am unclear about sync'ing movies and videos from my mac to my iPhone. I've done lots of this in the other direction but I'm trying this direction for the first time.
On the iTunes Summary tab I have selected Manually Manage Music and Videos. Now I want to select Sync Movies on the Movies tab but I get this message: "All existing songs, movies, and TV shows will be removed from your iPhone and replaced with movies from your iTunes library." I'm very confused by this message.
Why would iPhone songs be removed when I'm trying to sync movies? Any other words of advice would also be apprectiated.

May 16, 2012The twitter application I was using stopped working and was constantly crashing my phone. I deleted the app, yet the settings and options that link in with other apps still remain (instagram etc). Whenever I click on these my phone crashes. Is there a way to totally remove all traces of this? I have tried backing up restoring, updating and a hard reboot yet nothing has worked. It's driving me up the wall.

May 18, 2012My iPhone 4 has developed a weird quirk. Last night is seemingly turned it's volume down on it's own. Now I am unable to manually adjust the volume. I have tried all the tricks: reset phone; restored phone; mute switch is in the "off" position; and under the Sounds settings "change with buttons" is "on"! To make things even more strange; when I received a phone call earlier I could hear my ringtone; but, no other tones are audible (messages, etc).

I renamed Helvetica.ttf to HelveticaOLD.ttf and then dropped in the new font whose name was ALSO Helvetica.ttf.However, the system font hasn't changed. Mar 18, 2012Ever since I have updated to iOS5, I have been having problem with updating my song info (artist, album. song title however seems to work). I manage my songs manually and they are shown to be updated in itunes. However this is not the case when I browse my songs in the music app in my iphone.
I have tried various ways such as switching off 'group by album artist' in setting, updating ID3 tags, but these did not work. The only way to get the songs showing up normally is if I add my songs to the itunes library, change the info there and drag them back to my iphone in the Device section. Is there any way I can update my song infos in the device section and have them correctly showing in my iphone like the old days?

He called ma immediately from the airport informing me about the same, so I called the bus company...and certainly "there was no phone". I went today to the police to report it, so they could track it down, however I was told by the police guy, that as far as it was basically lost, despite that it was lost on the bus and from there it just "vanished", they will not search for the same. He was telling me that I should claim it back from insurance if I did one...if it would be only the phone is one thing, but there were the pictures of the trip and quite some other personal datas, so it is more becuase of that.
The phone was purchased just before the visit, and the friend did not register it through "Find my phone". I was told today that I can enter manually the IMEI and search for location of the phone, as I am pretty sure that the phone is still in the country.
