I want to format my BalckBerry to factory settings, any pointer ?
Actually we bought his phone some days back and then setup an enterpise email account on this, after the enterprise account was configured on some other hanheld device, but since then this device has many options disabled, for eg (security password setting, browser, bbword etc.)
I have a problem with my BlackBerry Bold 9700. I have BES and working well but no browsing even thru Wireless I cannot open any site. I have checked each and every option but the result is the same. It seems that I have done something wrong and unlikely put some option on/off. To make the life easy, it is better to make it as factory setting or format it completely but I don't know the command or option to do it.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter receiving my 5800 I had to restore factory settings and format the memory card to get rid of unwanted pre-installed content.Before that, I had no problems connecting the phone to the computer via USB and transferring media files, but now - Ovi player doesn't recognize it when I connect the phone and select PC suite modemedia transfer mode. Bluetooth works, mass storage mode via USB works. I am using Windows 7.Is there anything that I need to reinstall on the phone to get it to work? has anybody seen this problem?

When I go to security options, all the options I have are:
Advanced Security Options
Encryption
Firewall
Information
Security Wipe
I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?
Just wondering if there was any way to return the phone to the factory installed settings, I am having alot of issues and this seems to be the best way to fix them all at the same time.

I have a small problem with my Iphone 4 5.1 - modem firmware 4.12.01 and I had it just replaced two weeks ago and it was locked and not activated.
After working on it to activate it (don't have the original sim the mobile was locked to) I decide to restore it to factory setting, as it was when replaced. I tried with Itunes but it gives me error 3194 putting it in a loop and later I tried to do it via the device itself (settings > general > reset > cancell data and settings) but it got stuck on the loading circle for 5-6 hours so I pressed together power and home to shut it down.
So what should I do now to restore it to factory settings? I don't know what to do and I don't want to endanger my warranty (if it is still on at this point!!!).I have windows 7 and tried with a different usb ports or with no firewall but to no avail.
