I have a very annoying problem with my set, it keeps after a few days resetting its self to default ringtones, I will set the ringtone I want then it will reset itself which is really testing my patience.
It has the latest firmware installed it is a simfree handset so no network firmware is on it, it is straight from the factory.
My sister (who is a Verizon customer) sent me her old Tour 9630. I am on AT&T. I've called AT&T and they have done everything they could do then told me to call Verizon for the phone to be unlocked. The long and short of it is, she got the unlock code from Verizon and now my card is being recognized however, the phone is still showing her phone number and when I try to place a call it reverts to Verizon and won't let me complete the call. Is there some way to reset all of the information so that it recognizes my phone number and AT&T instead of Verizon?

I found the bold 9700 that I have now, and I've already unlocked it. It apparently has an IT block disallowing third party apps from being downloaded, I looked it up and to remove this it says to restore the factory default settings.

View 1 Replies View Relatedupgraded my X3-02 to firmware 5.60, but failed to backup before the update. The results, an empty fone with a new firmware, with everything else is now gone. The fone settings, certificates, apps, even OVI store now is not in the phone anymore.Trying hard to find all over the net to find solution for this. I thought maybe if i can at least get Ovi Store back, then i can install back all the missing apps. However its impossible to find the Ovi Store installer for X3-02 anywhere. Trying to install apps through web browser always give me certificate error. always.
I figured, maybe, just maybe, the best thing to overcome this is for someone to help me on the backup. Maybe other X3-02 user can help, if you dont mind, backup your data settings + applications into a file, and send it to me so i can restore that to my fone. dont mind any extra games@apps Some default apps (e.g: facebook) are not available to install from anywhere, isk. also i need back the missing certificates, and owh, OVI store!
I can't download directly with my x2 default browser,i can't even browse with the default browser when being redirected by other browsers e.g operamini,bolt and uc browser... It shows service not available..

(006)". I had to download and install opera mini which is what i now use in browsing but we know that opera mini closes and the default browser opens when you want to download java files. This means I can't download java files directly onto my phone. really sad.

Once it starts - it sometimes remains on for anywhere between 10 seconds to 20 minutes, before restarting again.At times it stays on for upto an hour as well. Nokia replaced the handset and I reinstalled my email accounts, and lo, two weeks later it all stops working. Nokia telephone support was helpful, but their password reset has done nothing to solve the problem. Now I just want to erase all Nokia messaging in my name and start again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHad my C5-00 for a week or so now and all been ok except this morning. The time reset itself to 1am and the date to yesterday. I took off the auto clock and set it myself with the correct date. 15 or so minutes later it reverted back to 1am (but today's date this time)
I have now turned it off and back on and set the time/date (which it asks on 1st boot every time! Strange) and set it back to auto-update.
As of now it is keeping its time/date but seems strange. I have tried the phone update but it says everything is up-to-date.
my 9780 keeps 'resetting' itself. screen will go black, white line at the bottom then graduates then the phone switches back on, unfortunetly the ringtone settings have changed......so i have to go and change them back.
Have tried to update the software (t mobile said this might help) but message says that my administrator will not allow this.

I forgot my password, trying to reset it but everytime I type the validation code as displayed on the screen during the resetting process the system just comes back with the error code that the vlaue I have tyuped is incorrect. I checked this 100's of time now and I know it is correct.

I have the random reboot problem with an added twist. Occasionally when it reboots the touch screen doesn't work and I have to manually reboot it. Other interesting twist! Every now and then it brings up a message something on the lines of "error installing, widget removed" and then it looses all my home screen settings and messages. This doesn't appear to coincide with an actual reboot. Due to the posts I have read on here I am loathe to do a format and reinstall. This started after trying to install the "Mobile Docs by Visiarc" - which didn't install and was the first time I got the above error. Is there any news on a FW fix for the hard reset broken ROM thing?
