BB Storm :: Resetting ID Password?
Sep 17, 2011I forgot my password, trying to reset it but everytime I type the validation code as displayed on the screen during the resetting process the system just comes back with the error code that the vlaue I have tyuped is incorrect. I checked this 100's of time now and I know it is correct.

Jul 25, 2010I recently moved from US to India and brought with me my favorite Storm 9530. In US I had Verizon as my carrier and I switched to Vodafone in India. Before I switched to Vodafone, there were 5 unread/unheard voice messages and hence my Storm was showing 5 o_o on home screen. After I switched to Vodafone, this count did not reset. I tried all over the web for a solution to remove this notification from my device, but did not find any workable solution.According to my understanding, I thought the count will automatically reset once I activate my Vodafone voicemail, but after I signed up, I realized that Vodafone India does not use "Device Notification" method for voicemails, but sends a SMS everytime you have a VM. With the result, the older count that has been set in my device never gets reset or reinitialized.Is there someone who can give me a solution to reset this? Is there a way/software that will let me access the internal data structures of the device and reset it. My carrier, Vodafone India has already informed me that they cannot help me with this.

May 4, 2010My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.

Jul 24, 2012I have been using the Bold 2 for over a year. All of a sudden, the handset keeps restarting on its own ! Once it starts - it sometimes remains on for anywhere between 10 seconds to 20 minutes, before restarting again.At times it stays on for upto an hour as well. It is very frustrating, because it suddenly restarts when you need it the most. Also calls to & from other people, cant connect properly.

I enter my Pin number , then appear the time and date to set ... and after 10-15 second the screen is black (like nothing on him / turned off ) and then in appear on screen battery and slowly other things the signal on netword and finally the screen and then it's starts again disappear all from screen and reset .like 7-10 times then it's stay off. if i turn him again on enter my pin number it's make the same thing.I used and another battery and do the same thing.

Aug 12, 2010Had my C5-00 for a week or so now and all been ok except this morning. The time reset itself to 1am and the date to yesterday. I took off the auto clock and set it myself with the correct date. 15 or so minutes later it reverted back to 1am (but today's date this time)
I have now turned it off and back on and set the time/date (which it asks on 1st boot every time! Strange) and set it back to auto-update.
As of now it is keeping its time/date but seems strange. I have tried the phone update but it says everything is up-to-date.

Sep 21, 2011I have a very annoying problem with my set, it keeps after a few days resetting its self to default ringtones, I will set the ringtone I want then it will reset itself which is really testing my patience.
It has the latest firmware installed it is a simfree handset so no network firmware is on it, it is straight from the factory.

Sep 21, 2011my 9780 keeps 'resetting' itself. screen will go black, white line at the bottom then graduates then the phone switches back on, unfortunetly the ringtone settings have changed......so i have to go and change them back.
Have tried to update the software (t mobile said this might help) but message says that my administrator will not allow this.

My blackberry resets itself whenever it's not plugged into the charger even if it's fully charged. I have no idea what to do because I cannot afford another phone at this time. Mar 7, 2011I have the random reboot problem with an added twist. Occasionally when it reboots the touch screen doesn't work and I have to manually reboot it. Other interesting twist! Every now and then it brings up a message something on the lines of "error installing, widget removed" and then it looses all my home screen settings and messages. This doesn't appear to coincide with an actual reboot. Due to the posts I have read on here I am loathe to do a format and reinstall. This started after trying to install the "Mobile Docs by Visiarc" - which didn't install and was the first time I got the above error. Is there any news on a FW fix for the hard reset broken ROM thing?

Feb 23, 2011My sister (who is a Verizon customer) sent me her old Tour 9630. I am on AT&T. I've called AT&T and they have done everything they could do then told me to call Verizon for the phone to be unlocked. The long and short of it is, she got the unlock code from Verizon and now my card is being recognized however, the phone is still showing her phone number and when I try to place a call it reverts to Verizon and won't let me complete the call. Is there some way to reset all of the information so that it recognizes my phone number and AT&T instead of Verizon?
