View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the S6 with 5.0.2 and CSC ITV (AP:G920FXXU1AOCV, CP:G920FXXU1AOCW, CSC:G920FXXU1AOCN). Since I leave in Greece, I tried to flash through odin the Stock firmware with CSC EUR but I had fails all 4 times. Tried with both odin 3.0.9 and 3.10. The problem seems to be the hidden file in the end, because everything goes fine until that moment. The result is soft brick. What should I do?
View 2 Replies View RelatedSome reason a monster energy wallpaper from zedge somehow turned into a splash screen that won't go back to stock even after Odin flash stock multiple times .It was only a wallpaper at that point now after Samsung boot then the monster energy logo then the t-mobile boot screen.Everything works fine just can't get rid of it even after multiple Odin flash to stock and factory resets

I tried renegade rom and wanted to go back to stock, but I can't seem to get rid of the boot/splash image it puts when you turn on your phone.
Is there something special I need to do when I flash stock firmware with odin?
Also, as I have sprint, should I be selected RTN for sprint? I had done that, was that bad?
It seems telling twrp to do advanced wipe of system and a bunch of other stuff that apparently is not normally wiped did it.
Recently installed cm12 nightly via flashify. Lost root access. How to get it back? Also I entered an email id in the email app. Now I wanna delete it but there is no option. I already deleted in settings but it still stays in email app. How to sync contacts via people on cm12?
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy previous phone was an S5 and in the stock email app it had a dropdown menu which included the "Delete All" function. Got the S6, Lollipop 5.1.1, recently and that feature is now missing. Email cannot be deleted off of my work email server so when I added my work email to my phone all 6,000+ emails eventually came in. The only way I've figured to delete them is one at a time. Did I mention I had to return my first S6 for a defective battery and got a replacement? Yes, I've deleted 12,000+ emails individually in the past week.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to figure out for weeks how to remove things from the predictive text dictionary. All the instructions I've found have had some version of long-pressing on "Predictive text" in the settings menu, but all that does for me is toggle it on or off. It doesn't open a new menu. I don't want to turn it off completely. I just want to delete my personalized typing history.
Two other things I've already tried with limited success:
Long-pressing on a suggested word so that it says " 'X word' will be removed from learned words" works for that specific word about 75% of the time, but it still sometimes continues to come up as a suggestion, and it only works on a word-for-word basis. I want to delete my entire history.
Going to the application manager and clearing the cache and data for the keyboard app deletes all of my personalized settings and appears to clear the text predictions for my SMS texting app, but it does not seem to clear my typing history for non-Samsung apps. Specifically, I use Aquamail to read and write emails, and I can literally rewrite an email using the predictive text on my keyboard.
I have tried to flash stock firmware a few weeks ago but got the same problem. Now I am trying to flash engineering bootloader exactly the same problem.the problem is; every time I want to flash something with odin it fails after nand write start and then i get this weird thing on my screen.and yes after this fail i can still use my phone and other things.

I use windows 10, I have the kies drivers and am using the phone's original cable ...
Recently I've downloaded the last firmware from Vodafone Spain for the SM-G920F model using the wonderful SamFirm windows exe. The first time I got a ZIP file containing all the partition images and the second time ("Binary Nature" selected) I got the typical four files for the four ODIN'S fields.
Now, here comes the doubt, which of them should I flash? I mean, does the four files format include the PIT file for example? Or there are no differences between doing it using the ZIP file or four files format? Which is the better format/way to install it completely clean?
So, I want to flash the latest version of TWRP to my 920i ... My only question is this..
- Flash the new TWRP 2.8.7.1 (the one for Android 5.1.1) with Odin
This one for the normal S6 models & This one for the Edge models
In Odin 3.10.6, which option do you select to flash TWRP? I'm assuming BL is for bootloader, CP is for modem - what do you use for the recovery? AP, CSC, or UMS. I don't want to select the wrong thing and brick my phone.
I'am using S6 G920F. When i connect it to my computer, everything is ok, i setup all driver. However, when i put my phone in download mode to flash stock rom or root file by odin, odin 3.10.6 can't connect with my phone. In screen of download mode, i see " Secure dowload: Enable" in blue. I tried to use older version of odin but all are failed.I was already turn off Samsung Reactivation Lock, check USB Debug.

and after 5-10 minutes, I just take the USB out and boot it up normally, because nothing happens.I'm in download mode, USB debugging is enabled, original cable, Odin v3.09, tried using different usb ports, odin is started as administrator.
I flashed from 5.0.1 AOE3 (France) to a 5.1.1 BOF2 (Netherlands Vodafone) and now i'm stuck!

My Device is saying ODIN and do not turn off during download. How do I get it out of this MODE?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a friend's Galaxy S6 here. A password was suddenly set and nobody knew why, she really said it came out of nowhere! So she asked me to get her photos from the phone and reset it afterwards.
I did that on other phones before so I flashed TWRP and pulled the files with adb. I tried to reboot after that and was stuck at the boot screen. I tried flashing some stock firmware from stockrom.net but Odin always says FAIL!
My phone says downloading do not turn off target but stays stuck there. In the upper left corner it says Odin mode along with a lot of other things.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNot sure where im going wrong really, i used odin to flash a firmware, i was expecting it to wipe the phone completely which is what i wanted it to do because i wanted to start afresh with a new firmware but after installing i still has the remnants of the previous rom on like the theme didn't change, it didn't even bring up the initial setup screens. i did not change any of the Odin tickboxes, am i missing something?
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt says downloading do not turn off target. tried everything else to restart, all 3 buttons as indicated and still will not work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday i tried to do a firmware update with odin. My phone crashed and odin failed. I now have a message on my phone saying firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies and try agan.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a problem with my new Galaxy S6 (G920F). Rooted - la Chainfire with Odin.
After this process the phone seem to work fine. But the x axis is inverted.
Means: If I want to go into appdrawer which is on the right buttom side I need to click at the left buttom.
I tried to change the DPI to 480 what worked fine (after the above mentioned problem). Now camera as well as my keyboard is way to small for the screen. I've already seen the problem with the camera and a black border but it didn't seem to have been fixed yet..
I'm using G920I Australia version. I can successfully root using CF-Auto-Root.
But I can not get into TWRP recovery after I flashed that (tried both versions of the recovery) using odin. It stops at the first screen (samsung logo). I tried using adb commond reboot recovery and the hardware key (volum up+power+home), both of them do not let me in to the custom recovery.
I had tried enabled knox before flash TWRP, which made it into boot loop. And then recoveried using the official firmware. Now I can only get into the official recovery.
How to get into the TWRP? BTW, how to backup the pit file using adb? On previous models it was mmcblk0, but Galaxy S6 seems to have changed the memory map to sda1, sda2, etc.
As the title say can this be a way out because flashfire doesn't use odin to flash a custom binary it directly flashes from phone and hence bypass knox ! Will it work?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a 3GS iphone that is running OS 3.1.3 on it. Not sure if I want to upgrade to 4 yet, but don't think I would want the 'new upgrade/fix' Apple is coming out with that would actually list my bars lower than they show now.So my question is, can I just download iOS 4 without installing it yet in case I decide to install it later? If so how? I am new to iphone's so forgive my ignorance. Also, anyone who is going back to their 3GS are you upgrading to 4 or keeping the old OS on there.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm new to whole android mod seen but I've seen a lot of recommendations towards Cyanogenmod. Now, I get the basic idea and steps but I want to make sure I am headed down the right path.Basically, it seems straight forward though I am sure there are details missing from time to time. If anyone has any pointers in that regard, I'd much appreciate it. Also, it seems post Cyanogen install, there is an optional SPL install. In the guide, it mentions the Hard SPL and a warning in regards to having to update your "Radio" first, otherwise it will brick. Does anyone have specific information regarding this?
