I'm new to whole android mod seen but I've seen a lot of recommendations towards Cyanogenmod. Now, I get the basic idea and steps but I want to make sure I am headed down the right path.Basically, it seems straight forward though I am sure there are details missing from time to time. If anyone has any pointers in that regard, I'd much appreciate it. Also, it seems post Cyanogen install, there is an optional SPL install. In the guide, it mentions the Hard SPL and a warning in regards to having to update your "Radio" first, otherwise it will brick. Does anyone have specific information regarding this?
My Telus Desire is unlocked, rooted, and running on Rogers. With the stock ROM the 3G worked perfectly, everything was great.Now, I've flashed the phone with the proper radio for Froyo, got the proper SLCD Clockworkmod Recovery working, and flashed Cyanogenmod 6.0.0 RC2.Everything works great, but for some reason 3G isn't working at all. I've got the APN setup correctly for Rogers (internet.com, wapuser1, wap, blah blah blah), but still no dice. Data is turned on in the settings, but for some reason it isn't working. There's never any icon to represent it up top either.
In CM 11, I could long press on a picture in the messaging application, and get an option to save or export to SD card/internal storage. On CM 12 messaging, I do not get any menu when long pressing.
When I click on a picture it opens in the gallery app, where I have an option to set as wallpaper or print, but still no option to save to SD/internal storage.
If MMS come in as a gallery, I can save those. But I can't figure it out for an individual image.
Recently installed cm12 nightly via flashify. Lost root access. How to get it back? Also I entered an email id in the email app. Now I wanna delete it but there is no option. I already deleted in settings but it still stays in email app. How to sync contacts via people on cm12?

I am trying to install ftp on the go but install is greyed out when I try to install from the app menu on my iphone. If I download it on my computer and then sync it to the iphone it installs and then the app icon disapears. I have checked parental settings and tried both checking 17+ and also unchecking everything.
I should also say that I already have FTP Client Pro installed and working on the iphone.
I have just bought an iphone 3gs from amazon to see if i liked it before jumping in at the deep end and getting the latest one, I plugged it in to itunes but it is not showing any updates and its not running on the new software? this is seriously putting me off buying an iphone 4s!

I got my neo phone back from service center with latest software update. Now I need to re install all apps and I don't have wifi facility. But I have bunch of apks on my SD card which is in phone. Even to browse, I need to install some app like astro file manger but there is no wifi I can't access android market. I have astro file manger on my sd card. I accidentally un-installed the facebook app, and now I can't launch the app anymore. I tried to download it from the Ovi Store, but then it would say that "Sorry, this item is not available for the Nokia E72." Is there any way to re-install the original FB app?
