My S5 is from EE, and has a big cartoony picture of whoever you're calling taking up most of the screen, plus a couple of buttons.
I'm not sure how to change this- none of the options are obvious. How can I access the keypad during a voice call?
When I open the phone app to make a call I have to hit the keypad button 2 times for the keypad to show up.

Went into my local VF shop and they said to check there has not been a never firmware update but Kies finds nothing. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I am trying to set up my voicemail and when it asks me to enter a number followed by the pound-sign, I am unable to enter anything. I have tried using alt lock, holding alt while pressing the number, pressing alt and then the number, and just pressing the numbered key...all to no avail.is there some setting I have on the phone that causes the keyboard to not be accessible during a call?

During a call, when asked to enter my phone number, passcode, etc., the keypad disappears every time I try to press a key. When I get a key to press it stays on long and disrupts the call I am on. It makes it difficult to use my phone to call in to call centers as I cannot press the numeric option I need.

Its very precious to me and i wont give up on getting to that app. Tge screen is broken, tried 3 replacement screens and it wont turn on. Tried new batteries too. Plugged it into a computer and it wont come up. There is a slight buzz sound when its plugged in, not sure what that means. All i need is the entries on that app.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a friend who has just had a baby. She made photos with het Galaxy S6.. But all of a sudden her phone won't recognize her fingers and doesn't unlock.
She also doesn't know her password anymore since she never had to use that again. I know it is possible to recover the phone but then it will also remove all the photos.
I tried connecting the phone to the computer, it shows a folder named Galaxy S6 but I can't acces it (the phone says unlock phone to view content)
She only wants the photo's once they are back she can reset the phone.
I have a Vodafone galaxy s6. Whenever I call anyone it says conditional call forwarding active then immediately cuts the call without ringing. I cannot receive calls either and sometimes it says the network then emergency calls only I have to toggle airplane mode on and off to fix this. However I can text and use mobile data.

I have a USB2 OTG cable and a USB to RJ45 ethernet cable but when I connect it all up and try the web browser, the phone just say that it requires a Wi Fi connection.

The phone will ring, but often when I pull it out of my pocket it the screen stays black and doesn't have an option to answer. If I unlock the phone with my fingerprint it just takes me to the home screen like normal and there is no option to answer the phone anywhere.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAll of a sudden, in the middle of a call, the other person could not hear me. It was not accidentally switched to speaker (I checked). After trying to call back a few times, I figured out it would work on speaker. I found a thread where someone said they took a pin and cleaned out the small mic, and that worked for them. Having no pin, I tried a paperclip ... and it seemed to work ... for a couple minutes. Now its back to speaker only! Also ... I now notice that when I try and use voice Google ... The phone does not hear my voice. This phone is only about 6 or 7 weeks old.

My phone will ring if a call comes in but if I answer it, silence. If I try to make a call, the display shows it's connected and the call timer is ticking away, but I hear nothing, no ringing or voice. I've been told that the other person CAN hear me so I know the calls are connecting. Once the phone is cooler it works fine again. The overheating seems to happen in my car if the display has been on for a while with GPS and/or it's charging, and if it's a sunny day and the phone is getting some direct sunlight.

Last week, noticed that I couldn't make a phone call. Spent an hour on the phone with Verizon tech and they sent me to a local Verizon store for a new sim card. I walked in, told the agent why I was there. He immediately took my phone, changed a couple of settings, and voila, my phone worked again.
Today, same thing. I looked at the settings and they hadn't changed from what he set it to. The only new thing on my phone was the addition of Dashlane, a password keeper program.
All of a sudden, I see voicemails on my phone but the S5 will not ring when someone calls. I have the volume up.
