Jul 17, 2012I got notification from PC Companion that ICS 4.1.b.0.431 update is available for my neo v (4.0.4). I started updating it. Since it said that personal data will not be hampered, I did not create backup of contacts, sms etc. After downloading, I got message for updating failure. Now the phone is not turning on, showing "Sony " and then exclamation mark and turning off. I have a choice to repair the phone but I'm fearing of loosing my personal data.

Mar 3, 2010Basically I tried to connect my mother's n70 to my computer (vista Ultimate 32bit) using the CA-53 cable. However I was just given the prompt unknown device installed, and PC Suite was not detecting anything. So basically I had no choice but to just abandon it and try to connect my phone (5800) to the PC. However, the phone now does not detect being connected to the PC, and Ovi Suite cannot detect the phone as well. Trying it out on PC Suite, it gives me the error "No connection type available, wizard will now close" or something along those lines. Its the first time this has happened to me so I have no clue. I've already tried repairing, and uninstall reinstall but still nothing.

Mar 20, 2015I have purchased a new Zperia Z3 from sony store in US jersey, and I opened it in India.I have tried several SIM cards but the phone is not detecting any network.Its a unlocked device and totally free from any contract.Indian service centres say they can not repair ot as its not purchased from India. Do I need to return the phone or its a minor problem. All other things in the phone are working perfectly.

Jan 5, 2010I have installed letest version of OVI suite and OVI player.I connected my phone to PC in 'Media Transfer' mode but OVI player is not able to detect my phone. Even when I connect my phone in 'PC Suite' mode, OVI suite is not able tranfer or read tarcks from my 5800. In PC suite mode I can use Windows Media Player 11 to transfer music. I have tried this on two different systems having Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Home Premium, but OVI player is not able to detect my phone.

Media Card Support: Yes
Mass Storage Mode: Yes
Auto Enable Mass Storage: Changed From Prompt to Yes
Newegg.com - Transcend 8GB Micro SDHC Flash Card Model TS8GUSDHC6
At the bottom it says a media card is not presently inserted in the device...
Any ideas why it not picking the memory card?
IPhone 5s :: Computer Stopped Detecting Phone
Jun 25, 2014My USB ports are working for my wireless mouse and for card readers to download images. Yet when I plug in my iPhone 5S - nothing. It doesn't charge, and it won't synch or be acknowledged in iTunes. I had been synching wirelessly unitl just recently but iTunes no longer sees the phone wirelessly either. I reset the omputer's SMC, swapped cords and restarted everthing with no luck. If I plug the same phone into another Mac or to a PC, it immediately beeps and begins to charge. So I know the phone and cord are doing their part. iTunes on my desktop computer sees the iPhone and will sync with it wirelessly or wired, but it's my laptop that I need to sync it with. On the iPhone, in Settings>General>iTunes Wi-Fi Sync it lists both the desktop computer and the laptop with the last sync date, but never discovers the laptop if I choose Sync Now. The computer shows up on all other computers on the network and both the computer and iPhone are on the same, correct network. How do I get the laptop and iPhone to see each other again?? OS 10.9.3 on a MacBookPro and iOS 7.1.1Â

2. use of update service and shutdown and start machine or re install pc companion.
Nothing works for me. So please provide any solution if it is actually solves my problem.My problem is one fine bad day, I connected my xperia neo where PC companion is installed on windows xp is not detecting my phone.It rotates rotates rotates and finally says unable to detect phone. and asks to reconnect again.
Nothing was changed in phone or in my pc for this issue. I have tried almost all (mpt clean/cache clean/stop & start, windows media player reinstall, pc companion reintall , update service) etc etc. One thing observed is whenever I clean mtp service and stop service and connects with usb, pc companion is detecting for first time. When I remove again and reconnect, it stops recognizing phone again. CAN I GET A RIGHT SOLUTION ??How can I update to ICS if usb connection is not detecting??? And I don't have blutook in my laptop.

Sep 5, 2010My w595 turned itself off and is now turning on and off whenever I try to turn it on. The buttons light up and the phone vibrates every couple of seconds but cannot get past the logo screen. If I can get my phone to sync with my computer in 'phone mode' the repair setting in PC suite may fix this problem but I can only connect in 'Mass Storage' mode. Can I update the phone in any other way?

Jul 22, 2011I work with a Nokia C5-00 operator locked (Movistar Spain) one month ago. When I connect it thru Ovi Suite (in a Windows 7 box), a firmware update was available, and yesterday I tried to do the upgrade.
Ovi Suite detected my phone, and a few moments later, backup its contents, and started to download the new firmware. Troubles came when Ovi Suite began to do the update, as it failed with a "Network Connect Error" when started to do the process.
Screen of my phone went completely white, and after disconnecting the USB cable, the phone simply died, except when I press the red button (it makes a vibration, but screen doesn't turn on). If I reconnect the phone to the computer, Windows try to install a "Nokia USB ROM" device, but unsuccessfully.
Can I make a sort of "reset" to revive my phone?
Cseries :: C5-03 After Updating - The Offline Navigation Does Not Work
Dec 25, 2012I have nokia C5-03. I was silly and updated the software and the maps. Till the updating method everything works fine. After updating, the gps navigation does not work in offline mode (in online mode works fine). When I switch to offline mode (with only built gps, ofcourse without A-gps) -the c5-03 can find the gps coordinates quickly in my house, so the hardwer works absolutely fine - and try to give a target in car driving mode, c5-03 tells me that from this place there is no road available with car. In pedestrian mode the situation is the same, only the message is a little different. I tried to delete the cities dir, and rebuild and reload all from nokia suite with PC, but no changes, Offline navigation does not work. I rebuild the new software again, but without success. how to down-grade to the previous working fw?

May 19, 2010I tried switching on the new nokia X6 that I received today. I get a vibration alert and the red-green button illuminates but the screen is blank! Mar 13, 2010tried soft and hard resets [left the battery out for 10 seconds] when i put the battery in the red LED light comes on i have tried pressing the on button whilst this light is on but no response. I tried leaving it without pressing the button for a few minutes but that did not work either.
I also tried the shf +caps +del [holding them down all at once] but this failed to work aswell.
