May 13, 2010My 5800's music library is not working anymore and it cant play mp3 and other sound files but when I remove the memory card it can play the sounds also my picture editor is not working. In my memory card I found many folders namely _PAlbTN. is it a virus? Do I need to reformat my memory card? And what do I have to copy on my PC when I format it? Just the mp3 videos and pictures? Or do I have to copy also the folders like private, sys, etc?

Apr 7, 2010I am using nokia 5230. The problem is whenever I select option Refresh Library, the device is unable to load new music files which I have transferred to memory card using PC suite. Music player is unable to load music files which are stored in memory card. I even updated the phone software but unable to solve this problem, but other files such as videos and images. I am able to see in gallery. Only problem is with the music files.....

May 24, 2012Another problem seems to have appeared on my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. When I transferred some songs to my phone, When I refreshed the music library, everything is gone. Although, the songs can still be seen in the File Manager. I have tried reformatting twice and still the same.

Jun 16, 2012I have been using N86 for the past 2-3 years and this week I switched to nokia n8, I upgraded it to belle the very first day and everything seems to be working well n good except for this thing. I have above 700 songs in my music library and there is no way to mark multiple songs in the music library of nokia n8 so that I can add them to specific playlists. Is there some simpler way to do this maybe I am missing it because its my first experience with a touch phone. OR has nokia been so ignorant that this feature was not implemented in this OS, which I personally think is not possible (cos I don't expect such a thing from Nokia btw). I don't want to long press every single song and then add to playlist and repeat the same process for above 700 records it will take me a whole day I guess.

This happs when as soon as a new track starts to play. then the music app does not close/exit too.no problems when playing music through playlists and by genre.I have to close the music player by force by using the remove memory card feature which closes all running apps. to play music again to use the phone.is there any problem playing music in wma format? i checked the file details in the music i was playing when the player froze.

Nov 7, 2011I have to admit that I been in love with my C5-03 since the first time I saw it. But unfortunately, the phone gave me real hard time.
1- I can't change the message memory to memory card. It works for a while, and then an error message pops out, statimg that "memory card not found" and that the phone will revery the message memory to phone memory.
2- The phone memory is almost full. I have 11.4 MB left, and I don't know what's filling the memory. I have 3 apps installed, 1 MB each, besides the default apps. Browsing the memory was of no help: almost all folders are empty. I tried emptying the browser's cache, but 11.4 MB is all I could have.
3- Nokia store and the web browser give me the "memory full" message after a couple of minutes of browsing, and then they close automatically, making them almost useless.
4- The battery life is not impressive. I have to charge the phone every 1-2 days even with light usage (15 min of calls, no Wi-Fi or music playing).
I love the phone and I've been having it for 6 months now.I have installed the latest firmware 2 months ago (v.20.0.024, version date 25-05-2011.

Jan 4, 2011Is there any option so that we can sort the songs by Albums. I know we have got a option " Artists and albums". If we use this it will sort with Artists first and below it will show the Album name. I live in India, and here we generally listen to songs by movie/album wise not by artist.... I having nightmare in searching the albums as they are sorted by artists first..... I also use Nokia 5800 XM in that we got seperate option "sort by Album" but it is combined with artists in Nokia Symbian^3 phones.....I love the new music player the way it shows the album arts but the only thing is it removed the sort by Album option..

It should be saved to the e: mass memory, but there is no settings in the application where to change the save location?.
