Sony Ericsson :: W595 Updating / Repair While Switched Off - Turning On And Off

My w595 turned itself off and is now turning on and off whenever I try to turn it on. The buttons light up and the phone vibrates every couple of seconds but cannot get past the logo screen. If I can get my phone to sync with my computer in 'phone mode' the repair setting in PC suite may fix this problem but I can only connect in 'Mass Storage' mode. Can I update the phone in any other way?
I have been using W595 model phone last 5 months. When I was browsing yesterday, my phone has got restarted. After that I have been trying start my mobile but its not at all starting up. Only thing I can see is the logo of Sony Ericsson when we start the mobile, After then It is not at all starting up. But the key pad lights are blinking for every 30 secs.

i would like to know which phone is better? i know w705 got Internet and wifi thingy which is attractive but without 3.5mm audio jack audio speaker sux? w595 good audio player.
I just download a w595 main and fs firmware as those are the latest generic ones from topsony and the fs is Russia but when i searched for a generic Russia custpack i didn't get one. so i got to seusers users and i got a Russia custpack under the w595 category but it was labeled k850 so i was wondering if it would be ok to use it on my w595.
I don't know why a phone that was created 4 years ago (2006) takes better than my w595 (2009) Is there any firmware or update that can help to my phone to take better photos?
I bought a W595 last year in Jan or Feb.It was working fine until suddenly yesterday the ear speaker malfunctioned.The last call i did before the problem started was fine, the ear speaker worked.But yesterday when i called home, the ear speaker stopped working.My parents could hear me speaking but i couldn't hear them but when i turned on the speaker i could hear them.Is there any way i can fix the ear speaker?
I've been using this w595 phone for less than a year, and it started having problems. At first, i used my cable to send lots of songs to my phone. It didn't work, and my 2GB memory card spoiled. I had to transfer stuff to my phone by bluetooth. A few weeks later, i used the cable to transfer my photos to my computer. All my music suddenly disappeared. After i restarted the phone a few times, my music came back. The latest problem that i could not put up with was that all my games including the default games, disappeared after i transferred photos from my phone with the cable(again). I did not eject it properly. I tried restarting my phone several times, but it still didn't work, can anybody help me?

Anyone know if it will work? - what im after is being able to show family the pictures and vids stored on the phone, on the tv using the cable is this possible on the w595.
sony ericsson w595 is not working properly. I cannot get into the phone menu at all and so cannot access many things including the phone settings needed to reset it. Moreover the software updater in the pc suite says error repairing every time i try to repair it and if i directly download the updater it says no new software available.
My W595 has stopped recieving messages. My SIM works fine in other phones & can recieve messages. I have been onto my network (3 Ireland) & they have gone through all the possibilities form a network perspective & a phone perspective (as far as was possible) to no avail. It is not the service centre number (I went through that with the network provider) & I have tried resetting the phone but it still didn't work. I have no saved messages or any messages in my inbox, outbox or drafts & I have 21MB of memory left on the phone & 1891 MB left on the memory card so I don't think it's memory issue. I can send SMS messages without a problem but I cannot recieve any. Would anyone be able to advise as to what the problem is? The phone is still under warranty so I'll get it replaced if necessary but this forum may be an easier & quicker way to get this problem taken care of.
What's better? I now that they are different mobiles but what would you choose? I know that the K850i takes ugly Photos (sharpness) and has some problem with its "OS" (you have to reset it every time). I had no knowledge of bad opinions about the W595.
I am having this weird issue with my w595 phone. It has worked perfectly for the last 10 months. But, now the display shows up only intermittently. The display goes blank at times. If you wait for an hour or so, it suddenly comes back up and works without any issue for several hours. Then, you wait for a little bit and the screen goes blank again. What do I need to do to resolve this issue?
My daughter has a w595 and recently a purple double square icon has appeared at the top of the screen next to the signal bar.Could anyone please advise what this icon is for and how to remove it if possible.
I am trying to control few SE mobile models such as W595, W705 and more in remote via serial module (Hyper Terminal and others). After a period of time where things went smoothly I ran into 2 major problems: 1. Only the first device is installed correctly on the pictures. All other devices identified as "Other devices” and it takes a lot of time (more than 10 minute) till the second device driver are installed. 2. When I run an automation test which communicate with the SE device via serial (using the comport identified in the device manager as management) suddenly the device stops response to the serial commands from any serial tool (my application, Hyper Terminal, etc). What I see is that the device remain identified in the device manager but doesn't response. When I close the serial session and reopen it I get the response of the previous command.
I was trying to sort my inbox messages according to contacts to view old messages, however a notification that said "operation failed" appeared.
After that, I tried to open my inbox again too, but the same error occured. Whenever I try to open my inbox, the loading sign will appear, then the notification pops up again.
Even after I restarted my phone and etc, the problem still persists.
My Sony Ericsson W595, on Vodafone can not read my memory card. It was working properly until last night when I clicked on Media & Photos, and I was told I had no pictures. I went to file manager and onto the memory card files and it said 'no files'. Does anybody know how to fix this or what is wrong with it? My phone memory is still normal and everything else functions properly, except for my memory card. I updated it and I even checked if its placed in properly but nothing seems to help. My memory card is a San Disk M2 with 2GB Memory storage.
please i want to flash my w595 with a2uploader and i wanted to know how to know wetha the simlock is permanent or temporal because when i check it on the phone it is unlocked but don't know wether it is temporal or permanent.
want to be able to restrict the outgoing calls completely. So, if i want to make a call then a pincode must be entered and then the call can be made and if the code is wrng then the call cant be made. I tried doing the Menu>settings>managecalls>restrict calls> all outgoing. But when i enter any pincode i get an error saying "all outgoing command error". I currently hve a w595 and if it worked would this work, if this sim was put in any other phone, I mean would it ask for a pincode again or would I have to set tht up separetly on that phone?
Not sure what to say but I cannot understand why it is taking too long to transfer stuff on my phone w595, the cable is ok but it does not put the ringtones where I can access them for wallpaper. My older phones like W850 really worked faster is this phone W595 slower Any advise would help.
hoping someone can help me out here. I have a Sony Ericsson W595 This afternoon I went to make a call and found I couldn't get into my contacts list - I'd press select and nothing would happen. The phone would not be frozen, however. Then, on my "recent calls" list all my contacts' names had been replaced with an "e" with an acute accent. Later, I lost signal so took the battery out and replaced it, which didn't help. My message counter and phone theme were reset but the time and date were not. I removed and replaced the SIM card, which also had no effect. I then put my SIM card in a Motorola Pebl and got full signal and could receive texts again, so I assume it is a phone fault, not a SIM problem.
was curious to see that I could terminate a call by closing the phone. You can also lock the keypad by closing the phone, but only if you are in the 'home screen'. Is there a way to have the close action return the phone to the home screen and lock the keypad when you close from any sub menu?
I have a few issues with my W595. I have taken a back up of all my phone contents using PC Suite but being a belt and braces sort of chap, I really want a hard copy of all of my contacts. I have been able to do this easily with other phone versions of PC Suite but I can't see how to do it with the W595 version. It is very important that I do this because the issues I am having with my phone, (it keeps losing all of the contacts and call history as well as stored text messages).
Hi, whenever I plug my W595 in to charge I get a warning message saying: "Serious error. Stop Charging. Stop using phone and contact Sony Ericsson Support Center". Can anyone help me?
