I can't receive a call on my blackberry bold 9780 and talk quitely without putting my phone on speaker, If l don't put the phone on speaker l can't hear the caller it goes dead quite.

Last week I had to replace the hardrive on my PC. I reinstalled Blackberry Desktop. Since that time my Blackberry will not retain emails for more than a couple of hours even though it is set to retain for 30 days. I am wondering if this is something in the Desktop Software.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI cannot receive/send email after perform the security wipe and retore my back up.Below is the step I have done:
1. Perform a complete back up using Blackberry Desktop Software.
2. Perform security wipe manually on the phone via Options > Security > Security Wipe.
3. After wiped, I using Blackberry Desktop Software to restore my backed up data.
4. Starting from now, i can't send/receive emails.
I have try go to Setup > Email Accounts > click into Internet Mail Account, but it bound back to the Setup page. Then i try Message icon > Options > Email Account Management, it prompt up "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider" message. May I khow what happen to my blackberry?

I have had issues with my screen for my Blackberry 9780 a few times so far. First time was within 3 months of the purchase. The screen went to a complete blank white, it wasnt an app error or anything. the phone worked fine, made and received calls, etc, but i just couldnt see what is on the screen. i payed to have the screen replaced and it only lasted another 8 months. Instead of fixing the screen again, i started to use a different 9780 that a friend of mine lent me. Its still fairly new and was working well until this past friday when i started to have the same exact screen issues again.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had my Blackberry 9700 since July 2010 with no problem until this past week it has stopped making and receiving phone calls and I can't send or receive SMS. When I try to make a call, it instantly comes up with "Call Failed". I have talked to my carrier (o2) and they too cannot come up with a fix, there is no issue from there part as the sim card works fine on another phone. Strange thing is I can still use the internet on 3G, send and receive emails and my BBM works.
In Manage Connections >> Services Status, it says:

-batt pull
-batt pull + remove sim card
-update FW .423>.442
-wiped and relode FW (.442)
-resend service book
-re-register host routing table
Then I look at manage connections>Services status and it says, Mobile Voice status: not available connection: not connected. put my sim card into another phone (nokia) it could make, reseive call and sms so it shouldn't be sim card problem. Other services are working fine, BBM, email and facebook.
I have a blackberry bold 9700, V6.0.0.546 and I'm with videotron.
When I receive a call or I'm calling someone, I always hearing a noise.
I had my Bold 9700 plugged into speakers and listening to Slacker like I have done in the past. Now when I try to make a call or receive a call the "Headset" icon flashes on and off as tho the headset is plugged in when nothing is plugged into the jack. This overrides speakerphone too. So basically I can receive and send a call but it cuts in and out quickly since it thinks the headset is taking over.
Not sure if this is a glitch or if something happened when listening to music. Nothing looks abnormal when I look into the headset port. I was thinking maybe I should update the software to see if its a software or bug.

have recently updated to various software bundles, 7.1 1149. all fine except when receive message or have call the screen goes haywire and it takes 15 minutes for the screen to restore itself. have tried reloading software, keep getting error 507. should i perform a full factory reset on the device?

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a replacement bb bold 9000 off ebay (it's an unlocked at&t handset that i bought after my bb bold got stolen... total bummer) and it was working fine all week up until last night when it stopped being able to handle incoming and outgoing calls and texts. The internet and email functions still work which is very peculiar. also some further info, when i put my sim card into another handset (in this case a nokia e65) all my normal call functions work and when i put another sim card in the bold the same thing happens (when i try to make a call it instantly pops up with a call failed warning). another thing is the bold shows full service coverage... currently the bold about shows... v4.6.0.304 (Platform 4.0.0.247) im on australia and for some reason i cant update the os to v5

This is my first bb and I love it to bits...I have noticed that today whenever i receive a call I have the same caller id showing as the first person that rang me after I switched my phone on this morning...and that was my wife...so I have been answering "hi gorgeous" to everyone all day!
