I updated my original dev alpha device to the newest OS release... While all the features are good.. the problem is with camera when i start the camera it displays a black screen ..all the camera functions work though and it can take photos..only the display becomes black..when we rotate the device the black screen disappears for a moment and then reappears...

View 1 Replies View RelatedOriginally I was having a problem where whenever I tried to load an application onto my device I would get an error saying that there was not enough room on the device. (Even though there was about 15GB left...)I decided to try a "Data Wipe" from the Settings menu.The Data Wipe seems to have worked a little too well and wipe everything on the device except the browser app. The device also does not connect to the PC anymore.Whenever I connect it to a computer the "BlackBerry Smartphone" driver installs but nothing else. The Device Manager does not recognize it either. Nor does the Desktop Manager.I have tried a couple different computer and nothing has worked.I have also tried to install the device update, but because none of the drivers will recognize the device I cannot install the update as the update tool does not recognize the device is plugged in.

And in the movie they are making a call to another party, and during that called, the other party are showing live video from their back camera.. I mean a real live video.. So.. I'm wondering.. A friend is having troubles with his Z3 : He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of things, from uninstalling the camera updates to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no information or messages about this problem.
I used my Droid Turbo a month ago to shoot some outdoor pictures and the camera worked great. Today, however I attempted to use the camera and the app froze and the phone rebooted. I uninstalled the built-in camera updates and reinstalled them and the result was the same - load the app and the phone reboots. I tried installing another camera app and the result was the same as the built-in camera app.

Next is when you take picture. When u go to photo albums. You see a link below saying open in Nokia camera. How come pics have that link and others don't? I took some smartcam pics too look at later and can't open it up and do the action shots and other stuff.
When I doube tap the home button to use the camera from the home screen, it sort of 'hops' up about 1/2 a cm, but then bounces back down without opening the camera app, this is only since the upgrade to 5.1. I tried a hard reset, but no joy (and no shortcut to the camera either!!)
