A few months ago, my toddler bit my blackberry and his drool got inside the phone. It is barely water damaged, but I assume it was damaged enough because now nothing works. I had to get a new phone, but here is my very important question. I need to retrieve the videos and photos and notes that were on the phone. I can't charge it and use it, but can't I retrieve the data off the SIM card?

Im looking for a app that will work inside of the apple OS sms app that will tell me how many characters i have typed. when i had my 3g on OS 3.0 and JB i had a app that did this, however when i got my 3gs i have bothered to JB is and i miss this feature. so am i SOL until i JB i this phone?

View 12 Replies View RelatedA friend recently gave me a phone that was working fine. I went to sleep, next day nothing works. After pulling battery and it going through the loading screen, it will get to the home screen. Moving the rolling ball thingy is the only thing that works, it wont let you actually select anything. I have tried to do a "soft" reset ? by pressing alt/shift right/ and delete. Nothing happens when I do this. Eventually when the screen goes to "sleep" I guess nothing will make the home screen come up again.

View 14 Replies View RelatedSo today I had a unrecoverable 552 error and decided to just upgrade Sprint's 5.0 OS. Everything seems to be working fine, except now I'm getting the problem that the enhanced g-mail plugin isn't working correctly. I have it installed, but it doesn't seem to add any options for stars, labels, etc. It's listed in the applications page in the options, so I'm not sure what to do. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled it countless times and did a battery pull after each. Does anyone know what may be causing this problem?

Everything works browser, txt, MMS, calls, even my weather app. Just every time I try to log into Facebook, it tells me "Could not connect because a data service is not available. Please try again later. If this continues, contact your service provider for support".I came from a Tmo BB Curve so the service was already there. I re-registered on the BB network, resent the service books from the web and from my phone, did hard re-starts, went online to My Tmobile and updated the IMEI. I uninstalled the app from the phone, performed a hard reset, then reinstalled the app from the Blackberry App Store.
View 7 Replies View RelatedMy phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI updated the software to 2.3.4, a small blue facebook icon appeared on my status bar, saying: Unabla to sync facebook, or something like that, in hungarian. When I delete this from the status bar, it appears again in seconds, even when I'm on wifi or 3g, and using facebook. So it' driving me crazy, can't make it go away,In the settings menu, at sync settings, my emails and the facebook are synchronised, but facebook inside xperia is not, and there is a green circle next to the others, but this one has red circle and saying there were problems with the sync, it's gonna continue later.is it just because the facebook inside xperia app is not updated yet?

View 24 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then, almost as if my phone chooses when it wants to mess with me, I'll open a conversation in the messaging app (the standard app on the phone). I can see in the main conversation window that there was a picture sent and I can see the picture. When I tap on the picture to enlarge it to full screen, it doesn't open. Instead it just shows a black screen with the thumbnails from previous sent pictures along the bottom.
To give a real example: My brother just had a baby and my mom has been sending pictures like crazy. When I open a picture from the messaging app, the screen is black but the previous pictures that were send can be opened via the thumbnail selection across the bottom of the screen.
If I close out of the app and reopen the app, I can usually see the picture I was having trouble with, but the next one will do the same thing. Sometimes I'll be looking at a picture someone sent and it will go black while the picture is already open.
It's as if something running in the background is interrupting the process and even shutting the process down in some cases. Even pictures that I've seen before, for instance, my mom sent baby pictures of my brother a few weeks earlier, won't open even after I've already seen them through the messaging app.
As you can imagine, it's terrible. Especially when I want to show my wife a picture someone sends me, I have to jump through 5 minutes worth of hoops to get it to open and in some cases I can't even get it to open!
What I want is to be able to receive a picture via the messaging app and tap on it to enlarge with NO issues. This really doesn't seem like too much to ask for.
Im not really sure how it all happened i got out of my car and i put my keys in my poket, the same poket as the iPhone normaly i never cary anything else in my poket but my iphone everything else in the other one, So as soon as i remmembered that i put the keys in the same poket i took out my phone to see if there was any scrashes but it was works there was a crack inside the phone not on the outside but inside the display. I just bought the phone a little less then a month ago. i bought it a telcel retail store and there is no apple retail store to take it for the warranty what should i do ?

I have an IPhone 4. I do not get signal at all when I'm inside some specific location. fx, inside a supermarket, even in my work-place but not in my apartment. I generally get no-signal in a location which has wall on 3 sides. I suspect that my iphone is not capturing signal well. I do get signal in other places but not inside those places. I'm having this problem since Apri. I bought my IPhone in June 2011. I get 'searching' or 'no service' message. I returned my phone to my carrier for the repair, however, they examined my phone and told me there is no problem. They possibly could not understand the actual problem of my phone.I suppose my phone has only 1 year of warranty and if so, then it expired on June 1. what should I do now?

When I shook the phone,I could clearly hear something rattle inside.I kept shaking it to see if I could figure out what was loose checked all the buttons and didn't seem to be them.Then I noticed after a little shaking it said "NO SIM" so I thought this must be it.I took the sim card out and shook again and it still rattled so it doesn't seem to be the sim. Everything seems to be working fine.Anyone else seen this?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use tap to wake feature. I keep my phone in pocket and when I take it out the display is on. My guess would be that phone is not able to detect that it's inside pocket and tap to wake feature powers the display on.
