Oct 11, 2012I bought this phone some months ago and it started to show some black ink inside the screen out of nowhere, and it's getting bigger and bigger.

BB Curve :: Black Screen, White Screen & Reload Software 507?
Jan 3, 2012I have a Blackberry Curve 8530. Several months ago, during daily use, the screen would all of a sudden go black. A battery pull would solve this problem for a while. Eventually this became more frequent. Symptoms progressed (it seemed that if I set the phone down too quickly it would reset) Finally, the phone would turn on, then go immediately to a white screen where it was undetectable by my computer. I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (amazingly enough) gave me a free loaner to use for the duration of my contract (all info transfered via an old backup, so nothing was lost) After my new phone was working I left my Curve plugged in at my office. Yesterday as I was leaving I looked at the phone again, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.
I plugged it into my computer to begin the process and to my surprise the computer all of a sudden detected the phone and successfully upgraded the software. All looked great, I got past the password stage, and was just going to begin reloading my information when the screen faded to blank again. I still have the free loaner phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's bugging me as to what the problem could be. As of right now the computer can no longer detect the phone again

Jul 27, 2011My Blackberry Curve just stopped working one day and so I plugged it in and nothing happened. The screen was just black. My dad tested the connection of the charger to the phone and then the battery and it showed that the battery was toast. So, I went and bought a new battery the other day and I put it in and it was only half charged and so when I got home, I plugged it in. It showed that it was charging and it had the orange light like it was supposed to. Around an hour later I looked at it again and it went back to a black screen and wont turn on, but a red light flashes when its plugged in.

Mar 12, 2012Im not really sure how it all happened i got out of my car and i put my keys in my poket, the same poket as the iPhone normaly i never cary anything else in my poket but my iphone everything else in the other one, So as soon as i remmembered that i put the keys in the same poket i took out my phone to see if there was any scrashes but it was works there was a crack inside the phone not on the outside but inside the display. Nov 12, 2011I wanted to use my Blackberry, so I took it out. I pressed the back button, so my screen would show. The screen was black, so I decided to press the end call button (Red). Still, nothing seemed to light up, the screen was black. So I removed my battery, put it back in. The LED light turned red for a couple of minuets, then turned off but the screen was still black. Tried connecting it to my USB Cable to the computer + the charge cable, but both to no prevail. I then thought maybe my screen is just temporarily bugging, maybe a call would do the trick. I tried calling my phone, but it went straight to voicemail. (Meaning the phone is off). The LED light shows, so what could be the problem?

Nov 24, 2012A couple days ago my blackberry curve's battery died while I was on a bus. By the time I got back to a charger I noticed that it wouldn't turn on and when I plugged it into the wall, it wouldn't charge or indicate with the LED light that it was charging. I decided to pull out my battery and put it back in, and there was no results. I did the same thing but this time I plugged it into the computer, my curve was still inresponsive. I also left it plugged into a wall unit for +3 hours, when I came back, it still wasn't working.
TL;DR (too long; didn't read): My Curve won't turn on, the screen is completley black and the LED light doesn't flash or even turn on.

May 13, 2011I have a moto milestone which I am using for last five/six months. Recently I realized that it's hardware keyboard is getting harder to slide out. While sliding out, it felt like it is brushing somewhere inside or the feeling was as if it needed lubrication.
I made a huge mistake (which I realized afterwards) of putting a drop of very thin high grade oil on the slider rail. Although it was only a single drop, it sipped through from inside the screen. After three days, it has started showing. The bottom portion of the screen looks like there are oily stains from side. The touch screen functionality has NOT got affected at all. But it is looking bad when the screen lights up and the background is white.
BB Curve 8900 :: Black Screen - Red Light After Updated OS
Aug 16, 2010I've updated my BB 8900 OS a couple of days ago. It worked fine for 1 day and then it popped up with an error message that disappaered really quickly and it go into a loop.
I tried to re-install the OS 5 and the app loader recognises the BB and the PIN is showing, but when I click next it get's stuck on "connecting with device (ARM)". The only thing the BB does now is blink its red light like morse code long-fast-fast-fast-long.

Oct 23, 2011I upgraded my phone to a blackberry cure 8520 about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't dropped it or anything. It has been very well taken care of. Now the screen is completely black, and its plugged in but the red light doesn't turn on and if I try to turn the phone on nothing happens (No White Screen, No Red Light, Nothing!) Like I said this phone is not very old, and it was working a couple of hours ago and had almost half of its battery power left. The problem happened after I plugged the blackberry in. It was fine until then.
