View 3 Replies View RelatedMy s6 worked fine last night, had over 50% battery life, i went sleep, this morning the phone wont wake up, having a black screen and a blue led blinking(5s) .
I plugged it to the charger, no led for charging shows, putting it ontop of the wireless charger, the charger change its color to blue, but the phone still on black screen and the blue led blinking...
I tried the hard reset :
* vol down + power(to simulate the battery removal)
* vol down+ vol up + power
*vol down/up +home +power
....all possible combinations, but no hope. What can I do?
I'm on 5.1.1 and stock rom not rooted.
I upgraded my phone to a blackberry cure 8520 about 3 weeks ago, and I haven't dropped it or anything. It has been very well taken care of. Now the screen is completely black, and its plugged in but the red light doesn't turn on and if I try to turn the phone on nothing happens (No White Screen, No Red Light, Nothing!) Like I said this phone is not very old, and it was working a couple of hours ago and had almost half of its battery power left. The problem happened after I plugged the blackberry in. It was fine until then.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNow I've had this phone for about 2 months...decent phone, few problems here and there but good for the most part.
I originally got one which had a dead pixel on it, and was sent a replacement phone free of charge, no hassle.
Now with this phone, about a week ago I noticed a black faded spot on my screen upon waking up, having it charge overnight.
You can really only see it when there's a bright white background or if you tilt the phone, its about 1/4".
I called Fido, they said to do a system restore/backup to see if that resolves the spot. Didn't work.
I call back, they said they'd ship one out and have a tech check it out and determine if it was caused by physical damage, and if it was I'd be invoiced $200 for a refurbished phone and not able to get this unit back.
Now I'm pretty sure I didn't drop or ding or pinch my phone, but I cannot be entirely sure. It's also protected by an Otterbox Defender series case which is pretty rugged...but I'd hate do be billed for $200 when I guess I could learn to live with the spot, but still sucks considering I paid full price for it and I don't believe i caused any damage to it..
Anyone else experience similar problems with their LCD's?
Is there a way to set it so when I get a text message it displays on the screen? Like when you get a phone call? Right now, my ringtone goes off, but the screen stays black.

So basically. I soft reset my phone and the screen went black (normal), but the led light just kept blinking. I thought maybe because of the upgrade it needed more time or something. So I decided to leave my phone and go get ready for work thinking by the time I'm ready to jet, it would be up and running. 45 minutes later, Nothing. Still black. Still blinking. So I did a hard reset which worked just fine. But I had to soft reset my phone again (why? the alerts sounds stopped working...resetting it makes them work again)....but same deal: black screen, blinking led. Is soft reset just dead now with the new upgrade?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Curve 8530. Several months ago, during daily use, the screen would all of a sudden go black. A battery pull would solve this problem for a while. Eventually this became more frequent. Symptoms progressed (it seemed that if I set the phone down too quickly it would reset) Finally, the phone would turn on, then go immediately to a white screen where it was undetectable by my computer. I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (amazingly enough) gave me a free loaner to use for the duration of my contract (all info transfered via an old backup, so nothing was lost) After my new phone was working I left my Curve plugged in at my office. Yesterday as I was leaving I looked at the phone again, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.
I plugged it into my computer to begin the process and to my surprise the computer all of a sudden detected the phone and successfully upgraded the software. All looked great, I got past the password stage, and was just going to begin reloading my information when the screen faded to blank again. I still have the free loaner phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's bugging me as to what the problem could be. As of right now the computer can no longer detect the phone again
I woke up this morning only to have my blackberry screen all black it charges and my alarm went off at 7am i turned it off so it's working but I can't see anything.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry Curve just stopped working one day and so I plugged it in and nothing happened. The screen was just black. My dad tested the connection of the charger to the phone and then the battery and it showed that the battery was toast. So, I went and bought a new battery the other day and I put it in and it was only half charged and so when I got home, I plugged it in. It showed that it was charging and it had the orange light like it was supposed to. Around an hour later I looked at it again and it went back to a black screen and wont turn on, but a red light flashes when its plugged in.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI wanted to use my Blackberry, so I took it out. I pressed the back button, so my screen would show. The screen was black, so I decided to press the end call button (Red). Still, nothing seemed to light up, the screen was black. So I removed my battery, put it back in. The LED light turned red for a couple of minuets, then turned off but the screen was still black. Tried connecting it to my USB Cable to the computer + the charge cable, but both to no prevail. I then thought maybe my screen is just temporarily bugging, maybe a call would do the trick. I tried calling my phone, but it went straight to voicemail. (Meaning the phone is off). The LED light shows, so what could be the problem?
View 1 Replies View RelatedA couple days ago my blackberry curve's battery died while I was on a bus. By the time I got back to a charger I noticed that it wouldn't turn on and when I plugged it into the wall, it wouldn't charge or indicate with the LED light that it was charging. I decided to pull out my battery and put it back in, and there was no results. I did the same thing but this time I plugged it into the computer, my curve was still inresponsive. I also left it plugged into a wall unit for +3 hours, when I came back, it still wasn't working.
TL;DR (too long; didn't read): My Curve won't turn on, the screen is completley black and the LED light doesn't flash or even turn on.
my phone turns on but i cant see anything.. its just a dark screen.. re-booting has not worked.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Blackberry curve ran out of battery so I've left it to charge for several hours. The red LED light is on (constant) but I'm unable to switch it on. The screen is black - haven't seen anything on the screen. Have tried removing the battery and putting it back.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm have a black screen with an hour glass off and on for 2 weeks! Sprint is my service provider and they switched my phone with a refurbished phone with the same problem. I'm wondering why I have to join a forum and not be able to speak with anyone from BB?! Sprint has the worst customer service reps! And as a customer for 10 years with a company that you pay your bill on time, in full, 3 lines, with insurance why I'm being given a used phone?! I'm beyond annoyed and frustrated with this phone and Sprint.
