BB Software :: Soft Reset Not Working After Upgrade - Screen Black And Led Blinking
Sep 24, 2010
So basically. I soft reset my phone and the screen went black (normal), but the led light just kept blinking. I thought maybe because of the upgrade it needed more time or something. So I decided to leave my phone and go get ready for work thinking by the time I'm ready to jet, it would be up and running. 45 minutes later, Nothing. Still black. Still blinking. So I did a hard reset which worked just fine. But I had to soft reset my phone again (why? the alerts sounds stopped working...resetting it makes them work again)....but same deal: black screen, blinking led. Is soft reset just dead now with the new upgrade?
I have had the Lumia 1020 for a couple months now and love it but every now and then, at complete random: the screen goes black. I then need to perform a soft reset in order to use the phone again.
I have not completed a factory reset yet, especially since it's still a new phone in all senses. But how I'll likely proceed with the reset and if it happens again: contact warranty to get a replacement.
I have AT+T HTC One - stock; I was happily using it too much let the power run down till it died and after that cannot restart. I can reach the Hard Reset Loader screen. I have already tried factory reset.
I see a kind of battery picture pop up for a while with two green arrows making a circle and a little down arrow in the middle - in the center of screen.
A while later the screen goes black and nothing happens. The SIM card is still inside. I have tried 2-3 times - battery shows to be >80% as of now.
This is info from the Hard reset (DownVol + Powre) screen: ****Locked**** M7-UL PVT SHIP S-ON R/H HBOOT 1.56.0000 RADIO-4T.24.3218.09 OpenDSP-V32.120.274.0909 OS-4.18.502.7 eMMC-boot 2048mB JAN 28 2014, 09:32:4.1704
This has happened to me about three times. I always manually press the power key to turn off the display and lock the phone before placing it in my pocket. Three times now, I have removed the phone from my pocket and found the soft keys lit up but the screen is black. The only key that responds is the power button... nothing else works. Every press of the power button toggles the soft key backlight, but nothing else. The only remedy I have found is to pull the battery.
My s6 worked fine last night, had over 50% battery life, i went sleep, this morning the phone wont wake up, having a black screen and a blue led blinking(5s) .
I plugged it to the charger, no led for charging shows, putting it ontop of the wireless charger, the charger change its color to blue, but the phone still on black screen and the blue led blinking...
I tried the hard reset :
* vol down + power(to simulate the battery removal) * vol down+ vol up + power *vol down/up +home +power
....all possible combinations, but no hope. What can I do?
It has occurred to me a couple of times, that my soft keys turn on and off randomly. This mostly happens when the battery keeps around 30% of the charge. I'm not sure if it is an ambient light sensor problem or simply a bug.
I upgrade my firmware but when i was finish the phone was black. The only thing that happens when i press the start button is that is vibrates a little.Otherwise is "dead"
After an attempt at upgrading, my Bravo now shows only a black screen with the small white bar at the top. I can receive calls, but that's it. I thought there was a discussion of this problem here, but I can't find it. Any way to get back to normal without losing home screen setup?
I recently installed OS 5.0.0.442 which was posted on the very first thread of the forum. I haven't had any issues with it until recently.
When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
I wasn't sure how to describe the problem in the title, but the problem is since I closed the camera app half of the black soft keys background is always showing on the home screen and the lock screen. Like this:
I have tried to turn on and off the phone and so on. I know I can try a factory reset
I have had my blackberry torch 9800 since march 2011, so that's 7 months.
while downloading bbm music earlier, just as it was finishing downloading, my phone switched itself off, and went to the black blackberry screen with the white loading bar at the bottom. it has been in a loop on this screen for about half an hour now, and i am very worried! the white loading bar gets to about 3 quarters of the way done and shuts down and starts the process all over again. i've tried taking the battery out, putting my phone on charge and nothing will help it!
I tried reseting my phone to default settingm, but not it woun't turn back on and it on the black screen and not going any where?I was told that maybe reseting it with itunes? but not sure how to do
My blackberry curve started going slow then some of my keypad buttons stopped working. Have tried to reboot by taking battery out etc. Can't do soft reset cause delete button doesn't work.
While playing a game on my phone yesterday the screen flashed/blinked for a moment, then turned and remained a blackish blue color. While in this state nothing on the phone was functional, I could hold the power button until I was blue in the face and it wouldn't power off the device. At this point I opened the cover for the micro SD card and SIM card and pressed the yellow power off button.
After holding down the yellow off button for several seconds and feeling the three vibrations I set the phone down and left it for 5 minutes. When I powered device backup it had the same black blue screen. I repeated these steps several times all with the same outcome. At this point I'm pretty frustrated and attempted to boot into recovery to no avail, finally deciding to simply do a factory reset which didn't work either.
it all started with my memory card being corrupted somehow - I found some topics that recommended resetting the mobile - which I did after backup up the contents of my memory card (original Nokia 8GB) - I did the same some time ago and it worked flawlessly back then - but not this time. After copying / formatting the memory card all my applications where gone - restoring the previously backed up files didn't work this time. Additionally when I tried to access/change anything Theme related or try to use the mode switcher the handset crashed every time. My next thought was - maybe there are some leftover settings - maybe a reset will help. The reset did work so far - but the problem with Themes remains. Additionally I am no longer able to start the OVI store application, nor the Advanced Call Manager application that I downloaded from the Ovi store before it stopped working.I did reinstall the firmware now but this didn't solve the problem either. Accessing anything theme related (even installing new ones) triggers a restart of my handset.Did anybody experience some similar behaviour?
My saga had low battery last night and died now I have charged it but It cycles on & off alone. If it's on long enough to try to make a call, It will shut down when I try to place a call. I have tried a soft reset but just added a bunch of contacts and trying to avoid a hard reset. I had a different Saga and the same thing happened once but I think the soft reset helped?
My Desire, running 2.2, won't reboot after a soft reset, it just freezes. I've had to do a factory reset, and clear storage. After restoring all my apps and data all was well, until two days later I couldn't send texts, and I was forced to try a soft reset, which failed. I then had to do another factory reset, leaving me having to restore my phone, again. Is my phone terminally ill?
Forum is full of codes for Soft Reset, Hard Reset etc, also the net is full of secret codes for various functions. Is there any official Nokia declaration about codes & where does one find it?
Code required to unlock my phone after soft reset, I have try 12345 and 00000 its saying code error. I don't remember my password and I did not back up
i have just got a Lumina 920 on t mobile, its a fantastic handset but i have one issue, if i use the wireless charging pad and leave the phone for more than 30mins i have to press and hold the unlock and volume down button.
