My wife has a curve 8530 with Verizon, and it wont turn on. All that is happening is the red led light is blinking over and over again. I tried a new battery and that didnt work. Anny suggestions.
View 4 RepliesI am having an issue with my Curve 8520. I was using today and all of a sudden, it went blank on me. Now I try to boot it up again, even when its charging, and all I get is a flashing red light. It flashes 1 time, then it flashes 3 more times, some times faster, some times slower. Been looking for support (done the battery pull and everything) and ways to fix it, but don't find anything. Just have a black screen, its not detectable by the computer, and it only flashes red.

Is there any way to turn off the suggested text box that pops up when im texting on the Curve 8530? This is annoying. This is not the autotext feature that changes preset words like dont to don't. Its the box that pops up for instance when you type yay.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen i talk on the phone the keyboard light fades away; however, the call, blackberry, back, and end buttons all stay on THE WHOLE TIME i talk. I have talked for 30 minutes and it stays on. I have all the settings to as low as they go and i have it to where the lights fade. I just cant seem to figure out if this happens on everybody's phone or its just mine and i need to get it replaced. I have had no other complaints on this phone and the battery lasts a pretty long period of time for me but i know that if this issue gets fixed it would last even longer.
View 6 Replies View RelatedHave had my 8530 for two months now and today I noticed that anytime I push a button on my phone for any reason I get a steady red LCD light. The LCD goes dark when the backlight goes out. The battery is charged and I can make phonecalls. I don't have any outstanding messages and have used the reconcile now option just in case. I scoured the net looking for a solution and the only thing I can find is to do a battery pull or disable the LCD. I definitely don't want to disable it, and I ran across one person who posted that when she did a battery pull that her BB didn't turn back on afterward--so I'm REALLY hesitant to try that!
I haven't upgraded anything on the phone. I was listening to Pandora when this seemed to happen, but I use Pandora every day.Any suggestions/thoughts? I'll do the battery pull if I have to, but I'm hoping to find other solutions.
My 8520 was working fine last night but the battery was down to 10% charge.
Charged the battery up and phone worked fine and I turned it off before going to bed.
The phone turned on fine this morning and was showing a full charge. I did turn it off when I got to work and when I went to turn it back on when I went to lunch I got nothing. The LED glows briefly and faintly when I try to power the phone on.
I tried hooking to my car charger but with the same results.
I have a blackberry curve 8530 and I was wondering if anyone pinkie (a former owner of a pink blackberry pearl)
View 7 Replies View RelatedIve got a big problem with my phone. It went dead last night and i tried to charge it with my pc and all i got was the red light. Once i got it to a wall charger the phone charged for a little booted and everything. It even accepted the txts i recieved while it was off. I leave the house for a couple hours i come back and the phone is off. When i plug the phone in nothing happens not even the yellow charge light. when i unplug the phone the red light comes on for a minute but the phone wont boot ive tried battery pulls and everything but the same thing happens everytime and i have no idea what to do. Ive never had this problem with any blackberry ive ever had.

View 5 Replies View Relatedlast night I took out my simcard and put a new one back into my phone (replacement for a faulty one) and when I went to turn it back on all I got was a solid red light for 2 minutes then nothing else.I looked on here and saw an answer about 'Kick-Starting' it (2 hours plugged in, remove battery for 15 minutes refit and leave for another 2 hours) but nope, that doesn't work, tried changing batteries, nothing Also tried plugging it into the PC using the desktop software and nothing comes up on there either?

I don't want the keyboard light to turn on when I'm using the device because it wastes battery. And my second and most important question is, why is the battery life so poor? My curve battery get's me through one day, and all I do is SMS, facebook, and IM. I don't use it 24/7 during the day either. I've had to charge it every night! View 7 Replies View Relatedgot a 8520 a couple of months ago, and after two weeks the phone speaker would break up when making a call, so you could only hear 1 in 3 words someone was saying, and inbetween was silence.T-mobile sent me a new one out next day, but now after 4 months the new one has started doing it.Can make calls fine with ear piece, speakerphone is working for playing music, haven't tried it for calls, and handset speaker works fine for music too, but breaks up when phoning anyoneThe second time it happened was just after okaying an upgrade. Anyone heard of this before?
