i have a torch 9810, haven't had any problems until now. There is no sound with the notifiers, only vibrate even though i have set them up with sounds and the sound profile is on normal. this is a recent development, it always worked fine before. Even my alarm didn't sound this morning.

I used to have the older Blackberry Bold (through T-Mobile) and all I had to do was click on "Messages" on top.view the previews and then the notifiers would go away. Did this change with the 9930? I have set up a few personal "Contact Alerts", like I have always done, but the specific Ring Tones for messages are not working. It follows the specific profile I am on and not the exception I have established that should overwrite the profile being used. I have had no problems with older BB OS!I have my phone on silent at night but have a specific "Contact Alert" set up for family members that will ring through no matter what. Phone calls ring through fine. It's just SMS/MMS that do not seem to follow the exception "Contact Alert". have even blown away all my personal contact alerts and started over and have checked each setting over and over - but nothing works.

When I'm listening to a podcast or music I don't hear the notification sound like I did with my Android. Is there a setting so I can hear all notification while I listen to audio?

The sound comes back if I pause the audio/ video and then replay. However, after 2-3nutes the sound goes back again.
The only solution is to restart the phone and then the sound is OK for around 2-3 days.
1) During listening music on google play music.
2) During watching video on VLC player
This is a default Australian nexus with default rom and all the updates from Google. NOT rooted.
Any suggestions before sending in my 4S for service? When shooting video, there's no audio. No audio when trying to voice record...however no mic issues with using SIRI or Dragon Dictation app. Some apps (games) have no sound, yet others play normally.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAny audio that I stream to bluetooth speakers (Supertooth Disco) or headphones (Jabra Halo) has a lot of static and an occasional (and very annoying) popping sound. I've tried a few different programs both streaming audio and playing directly from the SD card. I have also tried using airplane mode to see if the other radios were causing the interference. I turned off all audio effects/EQ in the control panel as well. Everything sounds great wired directly to the speakers and my old phone doesn't have the same problem over bluetooth in the same environment.

View 14 Replies View RelatedI just had trouble today with my torch, all of a sudden my incoming call audio does not work if it's handset mode but if it's in speaker mode I can hear the caller but audio transmit is not possible, the person at the other side cannot hear me when the phone is in speaker mode, i have to put into handset mode but in any case, there is obvious problem on the receiving/outgoing side.

It then started playing unknown audio of some american man speaking ( it sounded like a cheesy advert) extremely loudly , and it wouldnt stop or switch off in the conventional way. I then took the battery out and it stopped. I have taken the battery out again since I do not want it to start going off while i am in work but obviously I don't want to have to do it all the time. Any ideas what happened. At the time my Wifi and 3G were on but not bluetooth. It's a Blackberry Torch 9800 and i've never had any problems before. Its worht saying that after turning it on and leaving the office to see if i could work out what was wrong with it, it didn't do it again, and i went into every folder/app and nothing out of the blue happened.

Does anyone know if it is possible to disable this constraint (5 minutes) in 9810?
