Im not able to use gtalk on my phone. The error i get is "service not enabled".I have tried calling vodacom who have advised that i need to speak to google.... I have tried to research this error but there are so many different solutions there.

(This has happened before on another non-BB phone -- So I didn't think much of it) Then I tried to log in to the Yahoo Instant Messenger on the IM folder.Each one (MSN, YIM, AIM) gave me the error message of 'Service not Enabled for this Handheld device" I looked on Google, YES I do have a data plan, I went to my service provider about a different problem, (Close enough, it was about emails), and I DO have the Data plan.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to use the Gtalk application it gives me the following error:"Service not enabled for this handheld" I installed gtalk via appworld. I have consequently tried to remove it and reinstall it from the device and again from the desktop managment software. I suspect this error is due to missing application permissions. When I go to:options > Security Options > Application Permissions there is no entry for gtalk. A colleage at work (with a bold) has an entry specific to gtalk. Any idea how I can do a clean install (so that the install does not sggest a reinstall) and/or force the creation of the permissions entry.here are some details:

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased an iPhone 3GS with an Optus Pre-Paid deal (with 3G included) many years ago. My Optus contract finished and terminated. I started a new business contract with my fathers company Telstra Plan with a new non-3G enabled plan. I recieved a new simcard and everything worked (other than 3G ofcoarce).
The Telstra Business Plan has been completed and I have re-entered a new contract period with Telstra again. But this time I have organised 3G to be enabled. The plan has commenced but 3G doesn't actually work. I have unlocked my IMEI number through Telstra and I was told to Sync my iPhone. I completed the sync and I still don't have any 3G capability! Can anyone recommend a way of getting the service enabled properly? I have tried the Telstra website to send me the settings (it also didn't work).

So far I have troubleshooted the following: Tested the SIM card in a known working 9700 Bold - Sim card is working fine - BES service is activated - I was able to configure the users account. After placing SIM card in the BB 9100 - No Blackberry symbol (logo) & registration msg Tried - Register Now - through Host Routing Table - no change Security wiped handheld - no change Upgaded to 9100_9105Asia_PBr6.0.0_rel2474_PL6.6.0.207_A6.0.0.546_Telstra (OS6) Downgraded to: 9100_9105EastAsia_PBr5.0.0_rel1083_PL6.2.0.46_A5.0.0.623_Telstra (OS5) Replaced the SIM card - No change Contacted my service provider - they sent another new handset This is also having the exact same problem, also after transferring the users data from 8100, and repeating all the troubleshooting previously.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI had a curve 8310 on o2 and moved to a bold 9700 still on o2.When i moved i used the desktop manager and did the device switch over, all went well including bbm etc.However whenever i tried to send an email i recieved the error message 'transaction error failure at service' - I tried to log into my bis account online to update my pin but i couldnt log on! i havent changed the password or username since my old blackberry so i cant log on to change it online. on my blackberry when i try to log on to email settings it says the username field is blank!
i called o2 they put me through to geek squad and wanted to charge me to help!!! I am having an issue with a weird error code that I have gotten since day 1 of owning my torch. Everytime I do a BP when the phone boots up I am getting an error that says, "122 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code. Activatet=6"
I get this same error code when trying to set up my visual voicemail. When someone leaves a message I get that 122 Error as well as another error sent from 1000000000 that just has a garbled message. My VVM has been reset twice by at&t and I have been told that everything is provisioned correctly. I was hoping that .214 would fix this issue but still it persists.
My almost one year old lumia 800 has started showing No Serive error, the customer care executive has told me it could be a problem with the sim card slot. I even reset my phone to no avail. I get the serive for a minute or so after refitting the sim card.

I have to take the battery out at night to charge because the usb charging port is broken, and when I put it back in the following morning I get the following error message: "Supplementary Service Error: General Error. Along with getting the error, I'm being charged anywhere form $0.60 to $1.10 each morning. I've tried restoring the phone and deleting all the third party applications. I was hoping someone could solve this problem for me.And one other thing, it just started doing this. I've had the phone for about four months, and I just recently started getting the error.
