Aug 8, 2011I have only had the Torch since Feb and the trackpad this morning decided to stop working. First of all it was goign hey wire and openeing folders up and sending e-mails without me not touching it and now it just wont work at all, I cant even click down on it.
what is wrong with it and whether there is a quick fix I can do without taking back to the shop. It should still be in warranty so not bothered about that it is just time without a proper phone.

Jul 2, 2011Iv had my torch for a while now and when I'm listening to music it stops after every track. If I wake the screen it will continue to play the next track otherwise nothing. Tried selecting repeat and there is a tick next to it in the menu and still nothing.music it stops after every track

Nov 27, 2011I updated my software last week and now my call and end call buttons rarely work, and the menu and return buttons on occassion stop working. I can't end a call and disconnect! or call a number on the screen without using the touch screen and enter button on the QWERTY key pad.Now my wifes phone (whose usage is SUPER LOW) is having the same problem....I tried to reload the latest software package, but it made NO difference.

Jan 19, 2012I bought a used 9810 for a decent price, it was listed as *mint* and the cosmetic condition I'd say would be at best very very good (it had a lot of gunk under the case they had on it, I had to clean it for them).
So anyways I got it all set up I tranferred all my info from my older Torch 9800, then I pulled the 9810 out of my pocket and it was flipping through "All" "Favourites" "Downloads" "Frequents" and all of those. So I was obviously confused.
After using the phone a lot I realized that it's just the "cursor" or the pointer that is moving quickly to the top-left of the screen. If I'm on the internet I see the little pointer icon moving to the top-left corner. If I'm on anything like the main screen or blackberry app world there is a flick to the left.
To see exactly what I'm describing look at the video --> Here <-- please.
I think this is the track-pad, some other people on crackberry thought it was the screen, so I would just like to know which it is. Because this is a used phone, I do not know any of the real backround of it. I was told it was well taken care of.
Is there a simple way to fix this? (Factory Reset) or would this trackpad or screen need to be replaced?

Apr 25, 2012the phone gets hang and key pad & trackball doesnt work at times ... whnever i receive a call... i need slide the bar up down to answer the phone... But all of sudden it functions well and again hangs on & while... i tried upgrdaing the version... but seems nothing working out I tried many times removing the battery and fixing it back... I installed Poynt v1.5.4.12 and the trackpad doesn't seem fully functional when navigating through the menus.Say if I go to Movies, I can't click on the trackpad to select any of the options, like "Movies Near Me" or "Theaters Near Me."Instead, I have to select the option using the touchscreen.Then when I go to theaters or movies, the touchpad can only highlight the first theater/movie, then jumps to "More" at the bottom instead of the next theater/movie when you try scrolling down.At least here I can click on the trackpad to bring up the popup menu, though only for that first item on the list.I can move through the lists by flicking up/down on the touchscreen, but if I try to highlight an item by touching it, it always brings up the popup menu, which is annoying when all I want to do is see the movie times, which would be displayed just by highlighting the item.

I have bought several USB cables including one specified for charging. I have replaced the battery with a new one, bought high mAH wall charger and car charger (2 amp and 5 amp), and used several other chargers from friends phones on several other outlets. It will charge on my PC, my laptop, Windows or Linux, but thats a real pain when my truck is my office.

Aug 21, 2011When I connect my torch to my laptop, it cant make a good connection. It asks me for my password over and over, then drops the "connected" icon on the phone and goes back to the regular screen. I cant get it to stay connected for more than a few seconds. I didnt have this problem a few days ago when I had a new sim card installed. It just started and now I cant update the phone or sync my photos, music, vids etc.
Is this a common hardware issue, a software problem, user malfunction, gremlins on the motherboard? Before I do what we all want to and throw this thing into a brick wall.

Dec 16, 2011Prelims:I am part of a Enterprise account (old phone and new phone)Old Phone = Tour 9630 with 2gb mSD card. New Phone = Torch 9850 with a 16gb mSD card. I have the 'raw' .jpg.rem files from my old phones mSD card on my computer I have access to the old 2gb mSD card but the images were deleted. I have access to the old phone but it isnt enabled on the enterprise account..I know the pwd used on the old phone and the one on the new phone I cannot connect the phones to my computer as a storage device.
How can i get these pictures from my desktop computer to the new phone?
