BB Torch :: Not Getting 7.1 OS Update
Feb 3, 2012I have a blackberry 9860 that is currently on 7.0 OS... When I check for updates its tell me my phone is up to date which is not correct because there is an upgraded version (7.1).

Aug 12, 2011I know there's an update for my device but desktop software will not allow me to install it onto my device. I have gone to http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp and selected Bell Mobility and I have downloaded the software I would like to install for my device. Many forums say that I should be able to open desktop software and it should appear in my update section to load into my device, but unfortunately it doesn't show up. Its located in my downloads folder right now and I would like to get it onto my device.

Oct 23, 2012I have the BB Torch 9810, 7.0 Bundle 1355 and am trying to do the 7.1.0.1997 update that my phone prompted me to do. Ever since I got the phone, I have never been able to update a single app because it will not log me in.Each time I try to log in, it tells me that my password is incorrect (it is not). I have update my password several times, and it still will not recognize it. Now, it just tells me "an unexpected error has occurred".I plugged my phone into my Mac, and tried to update it there. I attempted to update 3 times, and attempted to back my files up twice. When I tried to back up my files, I got another "an unexpected error has occurred". When I try to update it, it tells me it is unable to update, and that I need to disconnect and try again. I did this in safe mode, as well.

May 30, 2012I updated the software for my blackberry torch 9810 to 7.1 bundle 1149 this morning. sincee then, it appears that the device instead of polling the server every 3-5 mins has reset to poll the bb server only every 6 hours.

Sep 29, 2012I have tried to do so both OTA and through the desktop software on both a mac and PC. On the mac all it says is we can't connect to the update server, within literally 1 second, I mean is it even trying? On windows it says theres 0KB space to install the update when on the home page clearly shows there is 3.6GB of free space. I'm trying to stay patient but this is ridiculous.

I selected Update and now the update appears to be frozen. however I am told that if i disconnect, it could render the device unusable. See screenshot.

May 12, 2011I received an email link for the BB 6.x upgrade today and tried to upgrade it from the phone but it won't allow it and says to use the desktop manager. When I try the desktop manager, it says there are no updates for my device. The OTASL diagnostic update says " request failed 22c67b020110512204609 01 of 01". Original Error: Failed to transmit, Connectivity: Server Busy Sufficient Coverage: yes.
Does anyone know what the problem is based on the information above? It sounds like the upgrade is a dud, since it won't update using either the phone or the desktop software.
BB Torch :: App World Will Not Open After Update?
Apr 30, 2012I have tried deleting and reinstalling with reboots and battery pulls. I have tried clearing the cache. The icon is there, but nothing happens when I click on it. It worked fine until I downloaded the update that came out last week!

I try to go into Setup but it's saying that it can't open the email setup application and to contact my wireless provider. At the moment I can only use the Wi-Fi connection and don't have access to a mobile signal.I can access the internet, twitter, and facebook, but can not get or send messages through my email account setup on the phone.

Said it would take the usual hour so I began doing some work while it upgraded. 2hours passed and the bar froze on the main checkup screen 90% of the way yet the phone came on and went through the general functions it always does. couldn't wait another hour---removed cell and began to attempt to get setting back to normal. Everything works except BB Protect. Keeps saying service temp unavailable. Did anyone else have this problem today? Is it really a temp service update or am I gonna have to wipe this thing (again).

After updateing rebooted as was needed, and now my phone keeps on rebooting. When restart gets to about 75% my screen turns all white and it starts all over again. Have tried a batterypull, dont know what else to do.
