I have the BB Torch 9810, 7.0 Bundle 1355 and am trying to do the 7.1.0.1997 update that my phone prompted me to do. Ever since I got the phone, I have never been able to update a single app because it will not log me in.Each time I try to log in, it tells me that my password is incorrect (it is not). I have update my password several times, and it still will not recognize it. Now, it just tells me "an unexpected error has occurred".I plugged my phone into my Mac, and tried to update it there. I attempted to update 3 times, and attempted to back my files up twice. When I tried to back up my files, I got another "an unexpected error has occurred". When I try to update it, it tells me it is unable to update, and that I need to disconnect and try again. I did this in safe mode, as well.
I have an N97 on Vodafone in the UK. I upgraded the firmware to version 2.0 and now want to upgrade to ver 2.1..The update seems to work OK, but when the phone is rebooted, even after a hard reset, it still shows version 2.0..Also it will not allow any additional application such as Ovi mpas or google maps to install.
I received a message last night from god knows who or what... now i have some strange icon in my status bar, which after spending the day searching for an answer, find out is some web page link, which im ""supposed"" to follow. On principal i wouldnt go to the link, ive got better things to do than twatter or facepalm my every breath of the day I cant delete the dam thing, as im supposed to have a link / message whch will offer me the option.to remove. As i deleted the message the link is gone, the icon however remains!
The camera on my torch has stopped working! Absolutely no idea why, but its starting to drive me mad. Everything works fine, even the flash goes off, but it just doesn't take a pic. I've rebooted, made no difference.
I recently installed the new blackberry update...and since then my touch screen refuses to work - so I cant enter the pin to unlock the phone - and when I slide the screen up - the screen goes black and the phone goes off!
My Blackberry messenger refuses to send messages or receive updates!! I've had my phone for 7 months and have had no problems with it. I haven't changed my contract plan or anything but all of a sudden both BBM and FB stopped working!!I've removed and re-installed facebook and it still won't work. And I dunno what to do about the BlackBerry messenger!
The latest Nokia Maps update refuses to install either via Nokia Suite or OTA (version 3.8.105) but simply says that something went wrong/isntall failed and doesn't even report an error code. I installed another update for the phone 1 week or so ago and Maps wouldn't connect to a GPS-satellite and thus was unable to navigate but this seems to have corrected itself with the reset. I've tried soft resetting and returning the phone to factory settings but the update still refuses to download and install.
It has been a week now, and my Bold 9780 switches off as soon as I turn it back on. It started as a problem with my keypad and trackpad which stopped working. Slowly, my phone gave in and switched off.For the past 5 days, I took out the battery and packed my phone and the battery separately in a zip pouch to avoid any chances of moisture intervention. My phone worked properly for one full day yesterday and now its irritating again.
My blackberry 9700 bold is acting strange, when i'm trying to start it - the blackberry icon and the 0-------100% loading 'list' shows, but its only load to like 10% and then it restarts its self and does the process all over.I've tryed to charge the battery, no luck.i've tryed to "update" through bb desktop software with and without battery, but no luck.I will try to buy a new battery this week
I've been having problems getting my phone(s) to charge. Here's a chronology of events.First time:I'd been messing with my phone all night on the second day I got the phone, setting up screens and what not and it just died. I plugged it into the charger and nothing for a few minutes and then the LED turned on and was white. It wouldn't start or go into charging mode. I removed the battery several times and left it out for several minutes. After leaving it plugged in for a few minutes, the LED turned green but still no startup or charging mode. After several more minutes, it finally went into charge mode and the LED turned orange and was 0%! Another 10 minutes and it was 15% and booted fine. I was using a battery widget to have %battery in the notifications. It had stopped working and was stuck at 50% (I was really impressed with battery life until it died). I was using both the Circle Battery widget and Battery Monitor Widget.
Did a factory reset and changed battery widgets after the first time above. Used it for two more days without charging issue.Second time:This time, I did get a low battery notice at 20% and I plugged into a USB port but nothing. I then plugged into a wall outlet and nothing. I tried multiple cables/ports/outlets and the phone eventually died before I could get it to charge. It took another 45 minutes to get it charging again with the battery dead. It charged to 100% yet the white LED would not go out with the phone off. I was using the Battery Monitor Widget and Battery Notifier (big text) widget.I took the phone back to Best Buy thinking it might be a bad battery or bad phone and they provided an full exchangehird time:his was within a half hour of getting the new phone, I plugged it into my computer USB and it wouldn't charge. I don't believe I had put any battery widgets back on but I may be mistaken. I plugged it into the wall outlet and it wouldn't charge. I rebooted the phone and it charged.
I bought this phone off a freind so obviously I don't have the original charger, but its still the usb charger including the wall part.... the battery is now dead (through usage) and when i plug it into the wall i got nothin. The lil white light on the side comes on when i plug it into the pc but it doesnt appear to be charging there either...Now I understand there's something about USB devices starting at 100mA untill it requests more power but mine is still only at 100mA. I'm thinking its not charging cause its not requesting more power
My E55 refuses to complete the setup using the preset Gmail settings in the phone. It gets as far as conencting to the mailbox and trying to syncfor about 10 secs then the mailbox dissapears and gos back to the option no email accounts set do you wish to create and I have to start again, but to no avail. Firmware is current, done a factory reset all to no avail. The annoying thing is it had been working fine, but I uninstalled the Gmail mailbox as my wife wanted to use the phone for a few weeks whilst she got a new one, and now I cant put it back on, so I know my Gmail settings are correct with regards to google. Internet access is fine
Yet another fault with my BlackBerry 9300, the browser refuses to work, I have full 3G coverage and I am connected to my home wifi with an excellent connection, yet my Blackberry just refuses to connect to any websites, all I get is a message saying Unable to connect to server, have had the problem for a few days, tried the usual battery pull, turned of my network coverage and tried running off my wifi and vice versa yet ive had no luck.
I've been trying to work on my mothers old Curve Gemini ... She has no use for it so i decided I'd take charge of it. I was wondering , if the battery was dead or something because it wouldn't turn on , it showed a charging symbol when i put it on charge in the car ( then my only charger for that type of phone ) it charged for a good while so i took it off and it died.... After a got a wall charger i had it on for two days straight and when i take it off it dies... I got a new battery (35 bucks us here ) and put it in , the same thing even with charging
This morning I had the yellow envelope appear at the top of my storm which usually appears when I have a new email or a new msg of some sort and the (1) appears in my email address icon and in the messages icon the only problem is I do not have any new email and no new msgs.I am pretty good with my phone and have covered almost all aspects of it. I checked (and deleted) all the email I had on the phone. I then even removed the email account. I deleted everything in the "messages" folder. I checked app world, I checked all sms, mms and bb messenger. Nothing. I deleted all past and calls in case i had missed a call. The phone says empty in every place I can check. The only place I can find even close to something is under Setup and then Application Center it does show "1 New Items" which is the Myspace app. Thinking that was it I went ahead and installed that to see if that would get rid of the envelope. Nothing. And what is weird is under application center it still says Myspace was not installed .even though it was and phone rebooted. It is like it is not detecting all my msgs gone and even the install of the stupid myspace app. Is there any way to force it to remove the envelope? I have tried everything I can think of.
Before the problem happened, i left my phone on in standby mode.I discovered after the problem happened, the phone was permanently shutdown, nothing i did (trying all the keys, taking battery out etc) could turn it on again. When I charged it, it still refused to turn on.The only thing that happened when it was under the charger was that the top left key and 'main' middle button in the directional keypad light up in red. The other non numerical keys light up to varying degrees of brightness, but the top left and middle key are the brightest for some reason.Could someone kindly advise, I would like to have my functioning phone back.
I changed the battery on my Z2, to which I knew was better, after that it doesn´t starts only flash red 3 times when I press the on button, put in the second battery that sat in the beginning the same phenomenon flashes 3 times refuses to start, the worked without problems before I changed battery.
I was on my Xperia z2 and the screen began jumping up and down before I shut the phone down and took my cover off to feel how hot the back of the device was.
At this moment, the device was charging and when I try ti turn it on, all I get is a screen mixed with lines of yellow, pink and green, almost like an untuned television.
I have an iphone 4s on 5.0.1, I recently reset my settings and restored and now I cannot get my apps to sync to folders. I arrange them how I want them on iTunes and then I try to sync it, and the sync process finishes and my apps are thrown about all over the home screen pages, in no particular order. It adds some apps to folders, but most are thrown about randomly. I have no idea whats causing this.
I think the content of this forum shows that there is clearly a problem with iPhone 4S / IOS 5.1.1 and Wi-Fi. My Setup: I live in an awful house for Wi-Fi - not only is it spread-out, but it also has metal sheets laid across every floor to reflect under floor heat upwards and, of course, to kill Wi-Fi signal dead. To get decent coverage I have 1 wireless router and 3 access points all using the same SSID and password, but using different channels (separated as much as possible physically and by frequency). The four units are connected by wire (over the power lines). This setup has worked fine for several years. It still works fine for my iPhone 3G, iPad 1, iPad 3, Squeezeboxes, MacBook Air, laptop PCs etc. (I program and use this kit for testing as well as playing).
The Problem: The Saturday before last I bought an iPhone 4S to upgrade to (as my trusty iPhone 3G was broken (I dropped it :-( )). The iPhone 4 connects to the Wi-Fi nicely (so its not a security issue) but drops out after a few minutes and then refuses to re-connect. I am current still testing, but I believe it also drops out if I move in the house from one AP's strong area to another's. I suspect it hangs onto the weak channel and refuses to change. If I walk back to the AP that I originally connected to it re-connects. I never had this problem with the iPhone 3G. I still don't (its repaired :-) ). And I am now testing by taking both phones with me as I roam about the house. Both phones are running IOS5.1.1 and the 3G works perfectly whilst the 4S drops out and throws a hissy fit. how to tell which Wi-Fi channel your iPhone is connected to? If I could find that information I could test my theory about the roaming not working. When making suggestions please remember that all my other devices work just fine, including my iPhone 3G which is physically touching the 4S that won't work. Therefore I may be a little sceptical if anyone suggests I upgrade the router (which I can't because its a Virgin one and updates automatically).
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Possibly to do with multiple APs
i did a search but didn't,t find problems like mine. I am still on Honeycomb and have xoom 4G. I have the words with friends app installed but whenever I try to run it I get screen saying that I don't have an internet connection (I do). Same thing happens if I try to run it from inside Facebook.
I use A BlackBerry Curve 8900 I had to shut down my phone and when I tried to pwer it up the keypad lock was activated . I have tried to unlock it using the lock key and also the * key but both dont work. I have also tried doing a hard reboot ( removing the battery and then turning on the phone. This has not worked either. Is there anywya to bypass the keypad lock and also can the keypad lock be deactivated.
I bought an Xperia Ray from Telus in mid-January this year. It was working fine until now. Today, the battery drained to 0%; it's done this before and I haven't had any prior issues with recharging. Now, when I try to charge, it won't do so. My computer won't recognize it ("USB device not recognized"), PC Companion doesn't recognize a phone, and it won't charge in any outlits in my house.
When plugged in, the phone flashes red and reboots itself constantly, making it past the start-up screen onto the main screen. It stays there for about 10 seconds loading my settings; however, I can't unlock the screen, the battery icon is red and not charging, and it goes from recognizing Telus to not recognizing a network or a SIM Card. I didn't download any updates manually recently. I tried removing the battery for a bit and then putting it back in.
I've tried removing and putting back the SIM Card. Nothing works. Randomly, the LED will be orange, and pressing the Power button shows the battery charging symbol; however, turning the phone on shows that the battery is STILL at 0% even after being on the charger for three hours. I didn't drop it, expose it to water, or do anything that may damage the phone. I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium 64x, if that means anything; also tried rebooting, but my laptop refuses to recognize the phone in any port.
So I have a Moto X 2nd generation and I want to add this notification tone to my phone. It refuses to connect to Apple computers such as the MacBook Pro and iMac, but on PCs like Dell and Acer it connects just fine. This is a problem that has happened frequently. Is this normal?
