Nokia Applications :: Social App Refuses To Launch?
Dec 17, 2012The social app in my nokia asha 202 refuses to launch. Each time I try it responds " invalid application - delete? ". Pls how do I restore it ?

Nokia Applications :: Social Networking Refuses To Start On E6-00?
Nov 15, 2011Upon buying the Nokia E6-00, I was told that I was able to use a app on the phone to connect with my social networking sites such as Facebook. After taking the phone home and learning how to use it, I decided on connecting my social networking sites to my mobile. Unfortunately, when opening the the app (using the path Menu > Applications > Social) it began to load and then suddenly, the app shut down back to the Applications screen. I then restarted my phone and had the same problem no matter how many time I tried to access it. I have also searched for software updates and completed the update that appeared on the 28th August 2011 and this did not fix my problem.how to fix this as I am unable to find something to resolve this problem on other websites and in the other forums on the Nokia site.

Jul 26, 2011The social app on my phone doesn't work anymore. At first, I was instructed to uninstall and reinstall the app. I did this but the new app refuses to connect to the internet. I've redownloaded and reinstalled the app several times with the same result. An error script pops up whenever I start the app, and then the app comes vs with some preloaded accounts that I can't change.

I upgraded the firmware to version 2.0 and now want to upgrade to ver 2.1..The update seems to work OK, but when the phone is rebooted, even after a hard reset, it still shows version 2.0..Also it will not allow any additional application such as Ovi mpas or google maps to install.

Jun 30, 2010My E55 refuses to complete the setup using the preset Gmail settings in the phone. It gets as far as conencting to the mailbox and trying to syncfor about 10 secs then the mailbox dissapears and gos back to the option no email accounts set do you wish to create and I have to start again, but to no avail. Firmware is current, done a factory reset all to no avail. The annoying thing is it had been working fine, but I uninstalled the Gmail mailbox as my wife wanted to use the phone for a few weeks whilst she got a new one, and now I cant put it back on, so I know my Gmail settings are correct with regards to google. Internet access is fine

Nov 29, 2011The latest Nokia Maps update refuses to install either via Nokia Suite or OTA (version 3.8.105) but simply says that something went wrong/isntall failed and doesn't even report an error code. I installed another update for the phone 1 week or so ago and Maps wouldn't connect to a GPS-satellite and thus was unable to navigate but this seems to have corrected itself with the reset. I've tried soft resetting and returning the phone to factory settings but the update still refuses to download and install.

Feb 14, 2010I had been using my N900 for 2 weeks without any issues. I never updated the software. Last night I was trying to take a picture and opened the camera lens cover. Accidentally I pressed the power button instead of the camera capture key while trying to take the picture. The display went off. I also found the phone felt warmer than usual. I took the battery out, put it in and tried again. No success. This time the phone did seem to be getting hot. I took the battery out and tried several hours later. No effect - the phone wasn't feeling warm either. I tried both the USB and wall charger - the LED was glowing green, but the phone wouldn't turn on.
Now even with the charger connected, the LED doesn't glow. Being a Sunday, I can't contact Nokia Care till tomorrow. Breaks my heart to think the hardware could get messed up so easily. We've had several Nokias in the family but not a high end one like N900. I've tried everything suggested in other forurms (including Maemo). I tried to update software with NSU. The NSU can't even detect the N900 when I connect it to the USB port. Probably suggests the battery is flat. I don't have a 5800 to try and recharge the battery externally - its shocking to know the phone can't charge if the battery is flat. If a laptop can why can't a "smart" phone? Anything else I can try?

Aug 13, 2010I have an IBM thinkpad T41 with WIndows XP Pro, Service Pak 2.I had Nokia's PC suite 7.1.51 running just fine for quite some time- Weeks.Then all of a sudden it wont open or launch. Icon is still on the desktop, but nothing happens when I try to launch it. I've tried removing it and re-installing, I've tried copying it from another computer that has the same configs, I've tried all the disscussion group solutions and I've tried pulling my hair out while kicking and screaming Nothing is working! What is going wrong and why wont it open? I'm using Norton 360 also, but it was in place when the original was working. I've got a E71 with a CA-101 cable.

Sep 3, 2011Two moths ago, there was an update to nokia chat. I've installed it, but afer that nokia chat ceased to function. When I entered it, it just said "Service temporarily unavailable.lease try later". Same thing happened with Social. I hoped that this would get solved with symbian anna, but it didn't. Now, when i enter the app, only the loading screen appears, the one with welcome to ovi, an then nothing. It just exits the app. Note that I uninstalled and reinstalled these apps many, many times, but still, they do not work.
