View 2 Replies View RelatedI connected my old 8310 to se if data was present and to charge the device. Now my computer does not recognize my 9800 Torch when connect. Thus I can now sync my device with contact and calendar files.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't synch my contact list with outlook using BB desktop software. This seems to have happened after recent software upgrade. When I scroll the Synch options contact and calendar are missing. When I go to Device and Advance Settings and Default Services only my webmail accounts are shown and none of my outlook email accounts. How can I get back to synching with my outlook folder?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to transfer all of my contacts from from an older torch 9800 to a new torch 9800 but only a portion of the contacts are being copied. I have tried backup-restore via desktop software etc... but it's not copying the complete list. Tried to do it at AT&T store but that just duplicated the 425 contacts that I all ready had. After I manually deleted all of the duplicates....Tried again to no avail.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhenever I receive a text message from a sender like American Airlines where their name/number is a random set of numbers, it will not remove itself from the home page list even if I delete it. If I select it after I have deleted it, it's just a blank message. Any ideas as to how to resolve this? The only thing that has worked for me so far is to reset the phone. I don't want to have to do that each time a message of this type comes in to my inbox.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWe have a contact list in html format in our organization. The contact list is displayed by the BB browser. The emails and phone numbers in this list work fine for other models we have (9650,etc.) But users with new BB Torch 9800 can not click on the phone numbers or emails any more. Our provider is ATT. The OS I believe is 6.0.0.246.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a few e-mail accoutns set up on my 9810 Torch when i scroll through the contacts, they are designated by e-mail group and I want to change it so all contacts are synched to each e-mail
how do I do this?it seems all my contacts are not synching from my Outlook on my computer to my phone and I want to change that also when i use options in Contact List it asks me to Show All Contact Lists, which shows 2 e-mail addresses but not all my e-mail addresses that come in on my phone; I think that is where the problem stems
how do I change that "Contacts List"? or add a ne wone to it so the Outlook contacts from my ohter e-mail addresses come througha lso?
I used to be able to sync all my contacts with my 9700 bold, but now since I received the torch, it is giving me an error saying I should look at the desktop manager information. with a # that says KB14545 error or whatever. What should I do to sync my contacts. p.s. Google sync sucks, it re-duplicated my contacts making me have 1400 contacts when I only have 170.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI am using the "All" menu on my torch as my main menu. I have it set up similarly to my old Bold 9700. I use that for everything except Media, where I do use the "Media" menu page. However, that left me with little use for the "Favorites" menu page. So I decided to delete everything there and load it up with my most often used contacts.
When you highlight a contact on the contact list, your Blackberry Key menu has an option "Add to Home Screen." That opens a window where you can choose a location and mark it as a favorite. If you leave the default location of "home" the contact will appear on both the home and favorites menu, which I did not want. Since I already had created a "Junk" folder, I simply move the contact to that folder and mark as a favorite at the same time. Now My "Favorites" menu is populated ONLY with many of my most used contacts. And when they appear on a menu page, you can tap/hold the contact icon to get several options such as call, pin, text, email, etc...

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently lost all my contacts , how? I dont know but ive managed to put them on from another sim but I wanted to transfer them to my usual sim in case I lose them again
View 4 Replies View RelatedI tried doing this using the SIM, but found that this only carreid over the first phone number and no extra numbers or email addresses. So then I exported from the LG to my desktop [using a USB connection] and then tried importing this file, but the 9800 didn't like it at all.
So then I swapped the SIM to the 9800 and used the Blackberry Desktop Manager to export an ascii file to my desktop computer. This gave me a file with """" a million quotation marks in it which made it way too hard to edit and add numbers etc to it. So I imported this to an XL file [using the header labels from the 9800] and edited my info. When I tried to import this to the Blackberry, it recognised the file OK, but wouldn't transfer the info across. So I then saved the XL file as a csv but this didn't work either.

I have about 1200 contacts in ACT! that I want to keep in my phone. I have tried to sync my phone with my computer a couple of times, the results from which have been very disappointing. I have tried syncing both through Outlook to the phone, and from a CSV file to the phone. Both methods result in significant amounts of information missing when the contacts are imported into my phone.
i have had a 9800 for about a year plus, its been fine but i seem to be losing some of my contacts. I have had cases where i try to retrieve a number but it wont come up,but once i get the number from another source and now use my 9800 to dial the number,it shows up on the display with the name its store
View 9 Replies View RelatedThis is regarding my bb torch 9800. I just did an update directly from the bb website and NOT from a desktop icon. All I did was connect the phone and pressed "check for updates", from which the results said that there was an update available. It never once asked me to do a system backup...just told me that this could take up to an hour and that I'd be unable to use the phone. All my contacts are gone. This is my first bb so clearly i had no clue about doing a sync to my sim card. Is there any way that I can save all that lost contact info?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I got my 9800 I used DM to do the device switch from my 9000. Now all I have in my Contacts are emails addresses. No phone numbers, none!, some contacts without emails addresses are just missing, and no home addresses. I thought all that info was on my sim card? I did do a back-up, but it says the file is an IPD and it won't open.
