My Facebook icon has disappeared after doing the latest app world upgrade. App world says its installed but I can't find it. Checked the hidden icons and its not there either. In Options, App Management it says its 'Not Running'. How do I get it back??
View 9 RepliesI installed the upgrade to app world and it disappeared. I rebooted. I re-registered. I uninstalled app world (it shows up I under the applications manager but the icon does not show up as a icon on my blackbery). I eve uninstalled it using the desktop software and re-installed it to no avail.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been searching for a fix to my problem that is that since I updated to ICS, "Facebook for HTC Sense" disappeared in the settings menu of "Account & sync" I just have the one just called "Facebook" and if I press Add account it won't show up. The problem is that I can see "Facebook for HTC Sense" in my apps list, and also when I go to a contact profile I can kind of see it. Also, when I link contacts I just can link it to the one called "Facebook" and it really pisses me off, since it never updates and the contact avatars remains the same always.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a (relatively) new BB Bold 9790. I connected today via the Desktop manager and it asked me if I wanted to upgrade my software bundle (I am on OS 7). I clicked on "yes" and it went off and did the deed. I have to confess I did not do a manual backup as my previous experience has been that the DM does the backup for you and it's worked well.
So after the upgrade everything was back as it was (my icons in the same place, emails, pics etc) apart from all my SMS! They have all disappeared. I am receiving new ones fine but the old ones have all gone. I had quite a lot of useful information in the old SMS (yes I know I should have backed these up) ... is there any way these can be recovered? I cannot belive the DM did not back these up and restore them but if I go ito the DM and look for a backup there is no recent back ups so I can't find anything to restore from.
I am totally new to the world of blackberry! But under the ring tones/alerts section there was an option to have a sound alert for facebook, which I was using. I then noticed a couple of days ago, there was no longer a sound alert when I got a facebook message, and the option to chose one has disappeared from the ring tones/alerts section.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk so earlier today I updated my phone to v5.0.0.341.The upgrade went ok, but afterwards it seemed all my apps have disapeared, and the default skin reinstated. After checking around the phone i couldn't find any of them.I figured I'd reinstall the skin I had been using (Blackberry Pro v4). After installing it, my menu was really screwed up. All the folders had disappeared and everything that was normally in folders was on the home menu. I managed to fix that by pressing menu > options > reset icon arrangement.
However, I still have the problem of all my apps missing. I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on this for me, and any possible easy way of getting them back. I've downloaded and reinstalled a few, but I did have quite a few installed. Also, does anyone know how I can get back apps that I have already paid for in App World? I'm guessing emailing support is the best way to go?
Using my Blackberry Curve 8530 with OS 5, I can't download the new Facebook from App world. I recently had Facebook but had uninstalled it. It no longer appears anywhere on the device and in fact is not showing up in App world either.
Each time I try to install the new version, it downloads 105 Kb and then prompts me "Application "Facebook" already exists. Replace version 1.9.0.28 with version 2.0.0.37"
If I hit yes, it pauses for about 30 seconds, then indicates there was a problem with the installation and that "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberr App World server. Verify your network connections and try again".
I have been able to install and uninstall any other program from App world, so of course that can't be valid.
When I try downloading the new facebook upgrade 2.0 it says sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support facebook ?

Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_facebook_lib (131) is not responding; process terminated.
I have to remove my battery to restart my phone. I've searched online for this specific exception and I am unable to find a solution to my issue.
I had random issues with the fb app when on GB also, but now it wont start at all, or, it starts, then goes black and never recovers. finally about 10 - 15 minutes later I get a pop up message that the app has stopped responding and do I want to report it. Of course I report it every time.
I tried uninstalling the app completely but could not do it. I could only uninstall the upgrades made to it previously, so I tried that and then reinstalled the upgrades, but to no avail.
I did not realize that fb is a permanent app. I thought I could uninstall it completely, but I cannot. Has anyone else run into this with fb?
yes I did have other issues with ics and I have cache cleared and started uninstalling app's where possible. I have NOT tried a factory reset yet, but that may very well be next.
Hi. Last night I upgraded a new facebook on my curve 9360 and it gives me my notifications but the news feed will not show. Says unknown error. I've done every thing and I can not get into my bb app world to fix any thing says ' there is an issue with current session. Please log in to continue( error id: 30702). also I try to go to my world to log in and the same message pops up.
