BB Curve :: Can't Upgrade Facebook

Using my Blackberry Curve 8530 with OS 5, I can't download the new Facebook from App world. I recently had Facebook but had uninstalled it. It no longer appears anywhere on the device and in fact is not showing up in App world either.
Each time I try to install the new version, it downloads 105 Kb and then prompts me "Application "Facebook" already exists. Replace version 1.9.0.28 with version 2.0.0.37"
If I hit yes, it pauses for about 30 seconds, then indicates there was a problem with the installation and that "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberr App World server. Verify your network connections and try again".
I have been able to install and uninstall any other program from App world, so of course that can't be valid.

When I try downloading the new facebook upgrade 2.0 it says sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support facebook ?

upgraded my facebook yesterday but now it won't accept when i hit "i agree" to the terms & conditions. i have up to date software, i've tried deleting it and reinstalling it, i've tried rebooting.

Hi. Last night I upgraded a new facebook on my curve 9360 and it gives me my notifications but the news feed will not show. Says unknown error. I've done every thing and I can not get into my bb app world to fix any thing says ' there is an issue with current session. Please log in to continue( error id: 30702). also I try to go to my world to log in and the same message pops up.

My Facebook icon has disappeared after doing the latest app world upgrade. App world says its installed but I can't find it. Checked the hidden icons and its not there either. In Options, App Management it says its 'Not Running'. How do I get it back??

I have a BB Torch 9810. I have been trying to upgrade my Facebook and BBM applications but I receive an error message telling me to log in every time I try to upgrade them. I have tried everything including restoring my phone and I still get the same message.

I upgraded to Facebook 2.0.0.37 on my 9630. When I delete messages that include Facebook notifications, my phone locks up and I receive the following:
Uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb_facebook_lib (131) is not responding; process terminated.
I have to remove my battery to restart my phone. I've searched online for this specific exception and I am unable to find a solution to my issue.

When I updated Facebook the Facebook Icon stopped working. I tried to delete it but a messege came up say Facebook already scheduled for deletion. Deletion will occur when handheld is restarted. How do I restart the handheld device? I have an 8520 v5

I had random issues with the fb app when on GB also, but now it wont start at all, or, it starts, then goes black and never recovers. finally about 10 - 15 minutes later I get a pop up message that the app has stopped responding and do I want to report it. Of course I report it every time.
I tried uninstalling the app completely but could not do it. I could only uninstall the upgrades made to it previously, so I tried that and then reinstalled the upgrades, but to no avail.
I did not realize that fb is a permanent app. I thought I could uninstall it completely, but I cannot. Has anyone else run into this with fb?
yes I did have other issues with ics and I have cache cleared and started uninstalling app's where possible. I have NOT tried a factory reset yet, but that may very well be next.

A hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.

I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

I just update my Curve 8520 to V.5.0.0.1036 [Platform 5.2.0.104] then I can't log in to Facebook anymore. It says cannot connect to Facebook server. I've tried to reinstall Facebook application [1.9.0.20] and reboot the device but they didn't work either.

I am having trouble downloading the facebook app to my blackberry curve. I have tried a large number of times to download it through the app world and online on my phone, however it always takes me to the same page including reviews, summary and screenshot of facebook for blackberry. From here I cannot find a way to complete the download and it often freezes on this page for a long period of time.

I just got a BlackBerry Curve 9300 v5.0.0.832. My current carrier is Virgin. The message I get is "You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. If you want to use this application please contact your service provider to upgrade the plan"I've been reading how you can get v. 1.6 for Facebook, but I don't know how.

I've had my BlackBerry Curve for about a month and one of the first things I did was download facebook onto it. It was great! Pokes and other notifications landed straight in my email inbox and if I wanted to post something myself or have a look at other people's statuses, I just went into Applications and clicked the facebook icon. Last week my phone crashed and I had to turn it off and restart it. When I got it back on, there was no sign of facebook, either in my applications or in my email inbox. Instead, something called 100% Games and something called Bubble Bash 2.0 now appear at the end of my menu - I never downloaded these, and I have no idea why they are there.

Had my blackberry for a few months but i still can't get BBM working, i have a contract with 250MB internet and i can use the normal browser when im out and about. I can only use the Facebook App when i am connected to WiFi. My BBM says (pending) when i add someone, and it doesnt show that i have added them on their phone.

Ive just downloaded the Facebook & Twitter apps on my Curve 8520 but when i go in to the downloads folder and click on the F or T icon a message appears:
"You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. If you want yo use this application, please contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan."
So does this mean i can't use my free wifi connection to access these apps? I called Orange and they told me that i need to pay so much a month to access Orange internet and then i can use these apps. I thought they were free to use.

Neither facebook nor blackberry messenger is working on my phone.Ive tried restarting my blackberry 11 times today and I've also tried deleting both facebook and bbm and re-downloading them both but neither of them are working.When going onto facebook I get an error message saying "Facebook is unavaliable at this time. Please try again later (100)." And with my bbm, I try sending a message but it won't send, and everytime I add a new contact's PIN it says "pending confirmation" and the person ends up never getting the request to add them as a bbm contact.I have the social plan for my blackberry which means I get faceboko, twitter, bbm etc. It started doing this early this morning and nothing is fixing it.

I upgraded my blackberry curve 8520 to v5.0 today and now the upgraded version of facebook will not work. It says we cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, taking the battery out for a couple mins while my phone was on, and tried to install the previous version of facebook, but it would not install.
