I am having trouble downloading the facebook app to my blackberry curve. I have tried a large number of times to download it through the app world and online on my phone, however it always takes me to the same page including reviews, summary and screenshot of facebook for blackberry. From here I cannot find a way to complete the download and it often freezes on this page for a long period of time.

I have tried downloading straight from fb but each time I manage to log into my app world account accept the terms and conditions then after a 1 minute of showing facebook downloading that error message appears.

View 5 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
My iPhone 4s freezes when dowloading emails and only responds when downloading is finished. Is this normal?

tried downloading upgrade to OS 7.1, but my BB 9360 stuck in backup, it doesn't work, I can't use DM either, it doesn't connect to the BB, I don't really know what to do, everything I've tried is useless. I tried an hard reset but each time it starts over the backup and it stops on 14%...

So I started the download and when it was about halfway it stopped and would not continue. After a long time I gave up and tried reconnecting the device to my PC and the PC said it did not recognize my BB. My BB no longer functions and just sits with a red light flashing I think it has blown its brains. What options do i have?

The software itself seems to downlaod quite successfully in about 30 minutes and a Desktop icon appears on my computer desktop. So anyway, When I download themes they are jad. files i believe and NOT zip. I then go to my computer and drag and drop the themes into my blackberry media card folder (i made a themes folder) i then go to my blackberry and go to media and click explore then i got to the themes folder but when i go to download it it says "download failed" so i click details and it says "907 invalid COD file not found"

I have a Gmail account and my Gmail Inbox on my PC is not mirroring this problem. Not only does it not stay deleted but it adds the message as if I've had a reply. For example: "Subject: June 5 Campout (8 items)" Well, the 8 items are not replies from others attending the campout, but rather, it is the same message in my inbox 8 times. Can someone please tell me how to stop this. tried to see if a setting has been changed, but am unable to determine if this has occurred. I am trying to see if somehow, the option, leave a copy of message on the server has been selected, but again, I do not think it has been changed. The only other possibility I can offer is I recently added my work email account to my personal Gmail account, but that had been working correctly for a week or two before this problem began. Could IMAP options/activation cause this to occur? I had looked into my Gmail settings yesterday before this began but I don't think I changed anything but it's possible.

My signal is still coming through but I cannot receive anything. I press any button and still nothing works, it just comes up with the front page!
