I checked my phone only about 20 mins or so after the last time I'd checked it, and realised both BBM and Facebook had dissapeared. Also, something called '100% games' and 'Bubble Bash 2.0' had installed themselves on my Blackberry?!

I plugged it in to my computer to put music on and i believe i updated the phone. my screen lock button is gone. no option. it has dissapeared.

In version 40, when receiving a call the old answer button was replaced by a sliding button. The same goes for the alarm. The old stop button was replaced with a new sliding stop button.I was in a call, the phone suddenly crashed and restarted. After that both sliding buttons don't appear when receing a call or when an alarm goes off.Is there any solution other than reinstalling the firmware update or hard resetting the phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedA hard reset (remove the battery while the BB is on) seems to have worked. I say seemed since it has been reported on this board that it may return when the "service books" are updated...I'm new to BBs. I just purchased it today and against my better judgment installed FAcebook (FB). After getting a deluge of mindless drivel pushed to my new BB I decided FB was not coming near my BB again.So I found the icon - menu - delete. I restart the BB as instructed and to my surprise the icon is still there.I tried to move the icon into a folder but I don't know how to move it because the menu button does nothing when I select the icon and press menu.
And there are some FB messages too. I deleted the FB messages - when I check my messages it reports I have no messages in FB ... BUT there is a little FB icon at the top of the screen showing one message. This one message seems to be relic but I have no idea how to reset or delete it.I also tried the BB desktop software. It shows that it is uninstalled. There appears to be no way of deleting icon, moving the icon, or deleting the FB message indicator either.
Iv payed my £5 and I can't use my bbm or facebook iv been to orange but they said there is something up with blackberry can u can u tell how long I have to wait for it to came back on ?

View 2 Replies View RelatedUsing my Blackberry Curve 8530 with OS 5, I can't download the new Facebook from App world. I recently had Facebook but had uninstalled it. It no longer appears anywhere on the device and in fact is not showing up in App world either.
Each time I try to install the new version, it downloads 105 Kb and then prompts me "Application "Facebook" already exists. Replace version 1.9.0.28 with version 2.0.0.37"
If I hit yes, it pauses for about 30 seconds, then indicates there was a problem with the installation and that "Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberr App World server. Verify your network connections and try again".
I have been able to install and uninstall any other program from App world, so of course that can't be valid.

View 2 Replies View RelatedIve just downloaded the Facebook & Twitter apps on my Curve 8520 but when i go in to the downloads folder and click on the F or T icon a message appears:
"You are currently on a service plan that does not support this application. If you want yo use this application, please contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan."
So does this mean i can't use my free wifi connection to access these apps? I called Orange and they told me that i need to pay so much a month to access Orange internet and then i can use these apps. I thought they were free to use.

Neither facebook nor blackberry messenger is working on my phone.Ive tried restarting my blackberry 11 times today and I've also tried deleting both facebook and bbm and re-downloading them both but neither of them are working.When going onto facebook I get an error message saying "Facebook is unavaliable at this time. Please try again later (100)." And with my bbm, I try sending a message but it won't send, and everytime I add a new contact's PIN it says "pending confirmation" and the person ends up never getting the request to add them as a bbm contact.I have the social plan for my blackberry which means I get faceboko, twitter, bbm etc. It started doing this early this morning and nothing is fixing it.
I upgraded my blackberry curve 8520 to v5.0 today and now the upgraded version of facebook will not work. It says we cannot reach the Facebook server at this time. Please try again later. (100) I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, taking the battery out for a couple mins while my phone was on, and tried to install the previous version of facebook, but it would not install.

View 1 Replies View Related1st- When I want to use the facebook through the Facebook Icon (Application) of my BB Curve 9380 phone, sometimes it will be connected and after a few seconds it will cut off. but when i use the browser button to use facebook, it will never cut off. Now, what i want is to fix that application, since i want to use that application compare than using the browser button. Additional: Everytime i get disconnected and when i log in back, here it says to me: if you want to use this application, please call your serivce provider to update your data plan or connect your device to a Wi-Fi connection, ("which i'm already connected").
