BB Torch :: 9810 Cable Is Not Connected Properly / Make Sure Device Is Switched On

I am using Torch 9810 and I am facing problem during backing up my data through BB Desktop Software.Backup start smoothly but in the process it stops automatically and its gives Error saying "Cable is not connected Properly or make sure device is switched on".Same cable works fine while charging or transfering data from phone to pc or pc to phone.Everything works fine except the backup.

My 9810 is acting up. None of the keys are working, even the 5 below the screen. Sometimes the track pad works but not when it is pressed, and when the back botton works it puts me into sreach mode and looks for the letter "H" only. The touch screen is fine. This was before upgrading to OS7.1. I have done multiple hard resets and it does nothing at all. This has been going on for three days now. It hasn't be dropped or anything.
Last night I upgraded to OS 7.1 now my back ground does not rotate properly with how the phone is being held it does rotate, When you hold it upright it thinks its on it's side and vise versa.

Does anybody know if I can tether a Blackberry Torch 9810 to a ThinkPad Tablet.When I try in Bluetooth on my Tablet I can get them paired but I get this message "Paired but not connected".Has anybody had any luck in doing this?

My Torch 9810 touch screen doesn't work properly anymore...it works each time the phone has just been freshly boot or when a battery pull has just been performed and stops afterwards until another battery pull or boot is done. is this some sort of software problem? Can it be fixed? If it can, how? I tried upgrading to OS 7.1 but the same problem persists.

My daughter has bought today a new Torch 9810. She has entered a new device password. After a few hours she tried to enter her password, but she forgot her password.
After a read of some internet groups, the solution is simple, just type 10 times your password and the BB will restart. I know that all data will be removed, but that is no issue.
Unfortunately the BB will not restart after I retype for then times the wrong password After the reset it starting with a White screen, with a sort of document icon. Within this document icon, appear a lock and cross sign, beneath this icon there is a counter with is repeatedly showing from 0 till 100% and then start over again.
I've tried to disconnect the battery for at least 1 minute, Put in a different sim card, let it run for almost one hour, but nothing seems to work.

i`ve recently bought a blackberry torch 9810 hangs very often when i make or recieve a call... Sometimes when i recieve a call the ringtone goes silent on its own ...It cal only be reset by taking out the battery.

I was so excited to have a Blackberry device and my choice was the Torch 9810 mainly for 3 reasons.
1- The big screen.
2- The touch screen with the sliding keyboard.
3- Latest OS.
As I watched and read so many reviews about it and compared it to the Bold 9900 and the Torch 9860. The reviews for the Torch 9860 were somehow negative, and the sliding keyboard was a win over the Torch 9860. Bold seemed to be a good phone but the bigger screen was again what made me go for the Torch 9810.
For a new Blackberry user like me, I couldn't really figure out much differences between the three phones.
Unfortunately the Torch 9810 is not yet here in Egyptian market and I was about to buy a Bold 9900 till I noticed it would be locked to my carrier and then I changed my mind. I asked a family member to buy the Torch 9810 for me from the UAE and I finally got it one week ago.

I have just upgraded from Bold 9000 to Torch 9810. I think BlackBerries are superb but . there are quite a few basic apps I had on my Bold, which show as 'unavailable for this device' in App World when I try and get them for my Torch 9810. A good example is the MobileMoney mobile banking app, and also the NatWest mobile banking app. When I tried to get the BB Feedback App, so I could request BB do something about it, the Feedback App itself was 'unavailable for this device' Is it just because the 9810 is such a new device and BB are working hard to get all the Apps available - or do they just not really care about Apps availability at all ?

My BB Torch 9810 stopped working. Worked with carrier no luck was sent a new phone. I was told that I could go through BB website to have all data wiped from the device. Can anyone confirm that this will indeed wipe all date from the phone even though it will not turn on, has no battery, SIM card or media card in it?

opying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).

I have a Jaguar X-Type on which the bluetooth system appears to remain active for several minutes after the car is switched off. The effect of this is that the phone remains linked to the car until the car system eventually shuts down.If I receive a call to my mobile during this period, the phone rings but I am not able to hear anything through the phone earpiece. How can I disconnect from the car bluetooth in order to receive any incoming calls that coincide with the above period. This has caused some embarassment on a number of occasions.

I've got my S2 now for maybe 2 weeks now and only now I noticed that my Wifi hotspot function is not working. I tried that with 2 different SIM's (in different countries) with the same result. Tethering via USB works fine. I can switch on the wifi hotspot (open or secured) and I can even connect to it. On my Win7 machine I have a connection for a few moments, after that I lose connection and at the end I lose connection to the wifi hotspot.
On my blackberry I can connect the first time. That connection stays open for maybe a minute. After that it automatically disconnects and I cant connect anymore until i restart the hotspot. When I switch off the hotspot it takes a long time and it ends with error (the status under wifi hotspot). If I just enable hotspot and disable it again it is without errors. So this seems only to happen when a client actually connects... I tried already a factory reset and read somewhere to enable bluetooth before enabling the hotspot, but the problem stays the same ...

How can I fix my iphone 5?? It came up with an error message saying something did not update properly and now it is stuck on the screen with an itunes symbol and the cable that goes into. So what might be the problem, when trying start my phone, without usb cable, it goes on, but after 30 sec or so my phone try reboot itself and this loop continues over and over again.
Only way to start the phone that it will stay on, is using usb-cable connected to pc. When doing so, it start normally without crashing everytime. There is also problem with camera and flash. Both things don't work. Flash not even try start but when pushing the camera solution, it will try to start, but after a second it crashes.
Judging from the symptoms I think that there my might be some problem with starting procedures when phone is turned on. The phone maybe trying to check something like camera or flash and crashes doing so. But why this not happen when I have connected my phone with usb to pc? Why this way I can start my phone normally and start using it. I just have avoid to shut it again!

BB bold 9870 battery went flat. As I have mislaid the Ac charger unit, I connected my BB to my laptop via a USB connecter. Now my BB will not charge at all, and when I go to the BB desktop software icon, it says it is 'disconnected, although the cable is connected! What/where can I go to get my BB working again

My laptop doesn't recognise my DEFY via USB.More details: When I got the phone it worked but after a while not always. Sometimes it connected 5 minutes later but nowadays doesn't work at all.By power charger it is charging normally.When it's plugged to the computer, the phone's screen lights up, but doesn't connect or charge. If I tick on/off meanwhile the USB debug, the USB sign shows up but it's still not charging or connecting. (I've already tried all 4 options)Moreover when I remove the USB cable, the USB signal doesn't disappear until I restart the phone or abort the USB in the application manager.I've already tried to install or uninstall the driver (Moto Helper) but didn't help.The main problem is that if I connect the phone to the notebook, the device manager doesn't see it. I ordered an extended life battery for my Defy, 3500mah battery that came with a new battery cover. after I installed it, I noticed that every time I connect the usb cable, the phone reboots! I tried connecting the phone first instead of having the charger pluged into the wall and still, it reboots every time! if I leave it connected and let it reboot, it will power up again and go on to charge. also the usb still works to connect with my pc, but again I have to wait till it reboots!

I have recently upgraded from a 9650 to a 9930. Everything is fine except that when I have the device locked (via the new, inconveniently placed lock button) and plug in a power cable the phone unlocks. How do I disable this? Maybe I am the only one who is annoyed by this but what is the point of a button that locks the phone until you unlock it if other things can unlock it. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the touchscreen which I always seem to be pressing at the time I plug it in.

I have the BB Pearl 8120 set. I could not transfer files via usb cable connected to my laptop. I have already installed the black berry desktop software. when i go to Media Manager, it shows the folders of documents, pictures, videos etc saved on my handset but when i double click the folder to view its contents, the software does not work. As guided by black berry helpline rep. I switched on the Media card support, Mass storage and selected 'Prompt' in the Auto enable Mass Storage media on my handset. can u guide me how I can transfer files from my handset to my laptop.

I recently bought Nokia C2-01. My phone works well when I connect it to pc via bluetooth but when I connect it via usb cable it shows-" Nokia C2-01 connected in non compatible mode" even though i select PC suite mode in my device/phone. I have bought a X10 mini pro on ebay and replaced the 2GB card by a 16GB sdhc. I copied the contents of the former onto the latter via my PC.Since I did that, the phone starts to play one of the mp3 tracks I copied to it (always the same) as soon as I connect the USB cable, regardless whether it's for synchronising or charging.The song is not played by the audio player app - if I start a track there, then I here both at the same time. Killing all processes doesn't stop it either.The only way is to switch off the phone. Switching it on again doesn't restart the music, unless the cable is removed and plugged in again.Obviously this is more of an oddity than a problem, but it is somewhat annoying, especially since I usually intend to fill the battery when connecting the phone, not drain it with a song on its lips.
