How can I fix my iphone 5?? It came up with an error message saying something did not update properly and now it is stuck on the screen with an itunes symbol and the cable that goes into. I have tried turning it off. I have rebooted my computer and I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes - nothing is working????
View 1 RepliesI just connected my iPhone 3G to my computer with the USB cable (Yes I do have 2.0 USB), and I updated it. After that, my iPhone rebooted. Till now, everything seems quite normal.
But now, as it restarted, it shows a picture of the iTunes logo, and a USB cable poiting at it. So I figured out I needed to connect to iTunes. But if I do so, nothing happens.
I manually restarted my iPhone, I restarted my computer, I reļnstalled iTunes, and nothing seems to work out as I want.As I amtyping this, my iPhone just went off by itself, so I think I need to restart it, because it was on for quite a long time with the iTunes logo on screen.
i just upgraded my iphone 3gs and it did not finish the upgrade its stuck with the itunes usb cable displayed on the screen. i restarted it a couple of times and itunes does not recognize it

My phone said to download update so I did which then lead to the itune connect screen. I connected my phone to the PC and opened itunes which gave me the message that it did not recognize my phone and would have to restore factory setting. I tried to reboot my phone by holding down both buttons (no red slider ever appears) until it turned off. Once I turned it back on it went right back to that screen. I tried to restore factory setting and it gave me an error.
This is now know as the SCREEN OF DEATH!!!!!
Anyone know what's going on? I've already tried this[URL]did not work.

So ive just brought an iphone 3gs and when i charge it, the cable is hard to plug into my phone. Once it has been forced in, and its fully charged when i pull it out it snaps and hald of it is still stuck in my phone. I know its the right sort of cable. Ive asked someone else and they said you need to pinch and push it in and out but there is no where to do that.

View 13 Replies View RelatedToday my JB'd 3G on 3.1.2 went into a funky state and I attempted to reboot. Since then I've been stuck on the Apple logo at start up and nothing.
So, i put the phone in DFU mode and Itunes 9 is giving me the option to "Update & Restore", HOWEVER, I dont want to do this because I want to stay on 3.1.2 for obvious reasons. I also have been reading stuff about SHSH but I have no clue what this is so one can assume I never did anything prior regarding SHSH.
When itunes has the pop up on the screen saying "update and restore" can I hold "shift and click "update&restore" to choose a 312 ipsw, or is that option only available if restoring without being in DFU mode.
A friend has been using an iPhone 4 for a while and has now been given an iMac running OS X 10.5.8 (so no iCloud). The phone has just over 1,000 contacts on it and they only exist on the phone. If it's connected to the iMac and in iTunes, contacts are set to sync, will they transfer to the empty Address Book on the iMac or will the iMac wipe them off the phone?

I brought my wife an IPhone 4S yesterday and checked with the sales guy in 02 that I can run two accounts off the same laptop as I have an IPhone as well, which he said would be fine.
However the new IPhone required an updated version, which I downloaded and then the new IPhone locked up with the ITunes Logo and the USB Cable showing. Have tried restoring but it keeps saying it needs to download the newest version iOS 5.1.1 which takes over an hour to download, but I already have the newest version dowloaded.

I searched on craigslist for a local guy to jailbreak my new one week old 3gs.. Found some dude about 2 miles away, so I drive over and had it jailbroken.I installed some apps, and one of them, I think WINTERBOARD made me roboot after installing.so I did.Now its stuck with the picture of the USB when I turned back on the IPHONE.Can someone please let me know how to get my phone back.I downloaded blackra1n on my macbook.

For some reason my Iphone 4s which i have had for a month now has stopped connecting to itunes properly. It does sometimes sync but most of the time it takes a good hour or so for it to appear in itunes. Its recognised on the computer when i plug it in and charges and everything but it just doesnt come up in Itunes.
Sometimes it says that it cannot be synced because the apple mobile device has not started but when i start it, it doesnt make any difference. It doesnt cannect with my home Wi-Fi properly either so maybe thats the problem? And just yesterday i updated my itunes to 10.6? or something like that so i dont think that is the problem.
Ive also tried restarted my Wi-Fi connection, my iPhone, my computer and re-intalling iTunes.

I plugged my phone into the computer (Dell, Windows 7) and the window that popped up asked if I wanted updates. I clicked install. Then another window said it was unable to install as I needed the latest update of itunes. I thought I had that on my phone!
