I have a blackberry storm I went to sent a text today and it won't let me. the keyboard appears but when I push on a letter it won't type it. Everything else is working. Did I deactivate something.?
View 1 RepliesSuddenly my touch screen AND keyboard are not responding. It has not been exposed to moisture.
Problems started yesterday. Touch screen started working eratically, then the keyboard stopped responding.
I've done the following with no success:
1) pulled battery and rebooted (multiple times)
2) ran backup from desktop, then reloaded the current OS (was already the latest version)
3) changed batteries
4) searched support communities for other ideas
Problem is I can't type my password into the phone and it's turned off phone service so I can't get calls. Touchpad works sporadically but only moves up and down, not side to side.
I am having trouble typing the letter n. When I type an email or text the letter n does not always respond. It is a fault that will not resolve itself. What do I do? The phone is not a year old yet.

The 9500 BB Storm has given me problems from day one. the touch screen was very slow in responding as well as now differnent sections of the touch screen is not responding to the touch. I had to turn the phone to differnt angles to type one sentence and now I cannot even get the number 0 to work. How do I get a replacement? the unit was purchase in Nov 2010 in USA and am a resident of Sri Lanka.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo here is my problem: My numerical keypad is not working. When I push a number nothing happens. The 0 works and when I hold down the 1 it goes to voicemail. When it goes to voicemail though, where the numbers should be there are letters. If I have someone in my contacts, I can call them but I cannot dial their number. Everything else on the phone works. Email, SMS and Browser all work. It is only the most basic function that will not work. I called Verizon and they helped me do restore and then an update but that didn't help. I went to the Verizon store and they said that all they can do is a clean wipe and restore, the same thing I did over the phone. I then took it to Cell Phone Repair (CPR). They said they have never seen it. And if they have never seen it, then it must be really screwed up.

The respond with text feature is not working on my iPhone 6 Plus. I got the phone yesterday and restored it from the iCloud backup from my iPhone 5. The setting is enabled in the passcode section of the settings, and all of my previous custom messages are still showing in the list. It will not give me the option to respond to a phone call with a text message whether or not the phone is locked, unlocked, engaged in a current phone call, or not engaged in a call. Â
I remember having this problem with my 4 a long time ago but I cannot remember how I fixed it.Â
The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently updated to the new OS via desktop manager. Shortly afterwards i have noticed missing calls and messages. The vibrate alert works & the light flashes but no sounds. I have expeirienced a similar but different issue on the last update, where all ringtones and sounds were ereased from the phone, resolution was go back to previous update and re apply update.
After a number of battery out reboots i have unfortunately not had success in correcting the fault. I note that the keypad tones are also gone when attempting to make a call. I have tried playing audio files and have no sound unless i switch to speakerphone, have considered that perhaps the speaker has failed or the issue has disabled the main speaker, guessing the ringer would use this...the phone works fine i.e the speaker next to ear works o.k but no evidence of any audio from the one on the back. In my few hours of exploring and proding the device i have discovered that the mute button seems to not do anything...
Can anyone offer some guidance or suggest a solution. I have trawled the forum a bit and found similar but not same descriptions, have explored all suggestions but have come up short
I just want to know if there is a way that I can open my text message "inbox" without haivng to open a new text message that I have. I used to have a droid. When I clicked on the message icon, it would open to the full inbox, just not the conversation with the new text message. I want to know if there is a way I can do this with my iPhone as well.

When checking voicemail, after the prompt to enter the passcode the first row of numbers are missing from one of my users new Storm2. When contacting the service provider (Verizon) the support person there said that she had swapped out a persons phone 4 times with the same result.

New user here. I am on my second Verizon Storm2 (in one month) with same issue. After dialing Verizon *611 or when calling voicemail, the number keypad is disabled and the numbers are gone or moved to different locations so I can not enter PIN. I am sure it is a software issue. Tried a hard reset with no luck. VZ authorized retailer believes he can fix this problem by wiping clean and reinstalling one app at a time. Has anyone else had same problem and any luck with a fix?

It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. I can receieve my gmail messages on my phone no problem. My gmail account login information is correct on the phone.
I've tried searching for this problem but what I find always seems to be related to enterprise configurations using an Exchange Server and the fix was for the Exchange server. That doesn't fit my scenario.
When I try to forward a text message to more than 10 people by using the contacts menu to select the recipients, the message changes from text message to multimedia message.
Since, I do not have a subscription for multimedia messages with my service provider, the message remains in the outbox and never gets sent.
Can someone advice why the text message converts to multimedia message? How to prevent this from happening everytime I send/forward text message to more than 10 people from the contacts list?
i have a notification for a text message that clearly will not go away when there is no new text message, can this be fixed?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a huge problem with my N79, its only about 3 months above a year old. Its been acting up for the last 24 hours. When the phone's on, and i try using the keypad to either to type out a text or to move around the menu, the phone hangs / keypad doesnt work. I dont know whether its the phone hanging or the keypad problem because the screen goes dark, and i cant revive it, but its still on, and i have to restart the phone, but the same thing keeps happening. I tried hard reseting my phone, that didnt work either.
