I have a BB Storm 9530 and just upgraded to 5.0 software.Several apps didn't come through.The larger problem is BB App World itself would not install properly. I tried installing it several times. It goes through the download process and in the end I get a message "uncaught exception missing resource net.rim.device.apps.internal.appstore.resource.BlackBerryAppStore" How do I get this resource loaded on?

When I click on the link to download the upgrade, it gives me an error message that the upgrade is not available through App World.Is there anyone else having this issue? Is Blackberry working on this issue?

View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night my Curve 8520 crashed on me while I was deleting some old applications and restarting. When trying to restart it was giving me an error. After a little research I found the steps to fix it by completely reinstalling the OS. After downloading the OS to my computer and getting it installed to the phone I found it was quite a bit different than the old OS, and I made sure to select the correct service provider. Anyways, needless to say, I lost all my apps and phone numbers, but the apps and email info were saved on my desktop software. I haven't been able to get the apps back onto the phone though and when trying to open App World on my phone it stays on the loading screen and goes no further. I have tried starting it over many times, pulled the battery and such but no luck.

Occasionally I will get an error message that the BB App World server can't be reached and I should check my connection. I've checked my internet and it works fine everywhere else. BB App World is the only thing not working. I've upgraded to the latest version and still nothing. I'm using an 8900 Curve vm 4.6.1.114.

I have a Curve 9330. I tried rebooting several times. I guess it doesn't matter much since I'll be moving to Android in a couple weeks, but figured I would share this issue for others.

He may have logged into his account in an app or something but now my bb I'd has changed to his. I have read all kinds of posts about the bb Id, and all of them say it is not possible to change it once it has been set unless a device wipe has been done on the device. My device was using my bb id and now it is using my friends. NO DEVICE WIPE WAS DONE ON MY BB by anyone. how was the bb I'd changed then?

I download and install the upgrade, and then when I have restarted and enter App World and try to access my world, I am asked to enter a password. When I enter my password, I am told the password and account do not match, error id 30601. I am unable to access My World now.

I then received conflicting messages saying 1) that the download failed (error 907 wrong COD) and followed by 2) Download successful, hold down the esc key to return to home screen. Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. A while back I updated my phone. So I backed up and restored my applications so I didn't lose the few I paid for. The other day I got a notification for an update for one of the applications I downloaded after the update. That got me thinking - since none of my other apps are in the "My World" section of the App World, I haven't been - and won't be - getting any updates for those applications. Is there any way I can add those applications to "My World" so I can get notifications for updates and stuff?

My current situation:
I am on a family plan with a total of two lines. My line is not eligible until 7/23, so all I can get is "early upgrade pricing". My mom's line is currently eligible for "full upgrade pricing". I am planning on using my mom's upgrade to get an iPhone 4. I want to preorder the phone from Apple.com on the 15th, and hopefully receive it the afternoon of the 24th. From my understanding, the microSIM that ships with the phone will be programmed for the line whose upgrade was used. However, the iPhone Upgrade Guide makes it sound like I can call AT&T once I receive the phone (and before I activate it), and have AT&T switch the microSIM from my mom's line to mine. Is this possible?
