Aug 8, 2011Last night my Curve 8520 crashed on me while I was deleting some old applications and restarting. When trying to restart it was giving me an error. After a little research I found the steps to fix it by completely reinstalling the OS. After downloading the OS to my computer and getting it installed to the phone I found it was quite a bit different than the old OS, and I made sure to select the correct service provider. Anyways, needless to say, I lost all my apps and phone numbers, but the apps and email info were saved on my desktop software. I haven't been able to get the apps back onto the phone though and when trying to open App World on my phone it stays on the loading screen and goes no further. I have tried starting it over many times, pulled the battery and such but no luck.

Feb 2, 2010I have a BB Storm 9530 and just upgraded to 5.0 software.Several apps didn't come through.The larger problem is BB App World itself would not install properly. I tried installing it several times. It goes through the download process and in the end I get a message "uncaught exception missing resource net.rim.device.apps.internal.appstore.resource.BlackBerryAppStore" How do I get this resource loaded on?

Feb 19, 2010Whenever I try to access BB App World all I get is a continual loading screen. Occasionally I will get an error message that the BB App World server can't be reached and I should check my connection. I've checked my internet and it works fine everywhere else. BB App World is the only thing not working. I've upgraded to the latest version and still nothing. I'm using an 8900 Curve vm 4.6.1.114.

Aug 20, 2011My BB ID works on the Blackberry website, but I can't use the BB ID on my new Bold 9900 (it says 'unable to log into your Blackberry ID account'). Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. I'm unable to access Blackberry protect and 'my world' in Blackberry App World, or do anything that involves using my BB ID on my phone

May 3, 2012I am having trouble loading any web page in my Browser; I am connecting to WiFi, and have tried at home and the office (in both cases, other devices can get an internet connection fine)when I load the browser and a webpage (eg. url...) the blue progress bar appears at the bottom showing it is loading, but then gets stuck at the end, and just hangs.This just started happening a few days ago, previously it worked fine. I checked the other suggestion re. clearing the cache and changing the default browser, these did not help.I installed the Blackberry Messenger update a few weeks ago, and web browsing worked fine after this, so I dont believe this is the cause.

Jun 25, 2012When connecting to the internet I click on the second last icon on the main Bold screen (Telstra icon).After approximately 20 seconds, the blue "loading" bar at the bottom of the screen reaches 100% but remains sitting at "loading" with a blank white screen. There is no error message, and remains in this mode until I press the end / hang up key to return to the main screen.

Jan 24, 2012A couple weeks ago I updated my Bold 9700 to OS 6.0 Bundle 1964 - v6.0.0.461. So far, I love it except that my camera was at first quite flakey and now will not work at all. I'm geting black screen, or gives me the error 'could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again'. The video Camera does the same; loads with grey screen and errors with 'Cannot start video camera viewfinder'.
So Far I have:
-deleted all apps shown in BB App World (Wondering if another app was trying to use Camera)
-removed the battery to reboot multiple times
-Reseated my SD card - I can view SD card through phone for picture/music so it does work
-Re-installed OS6 through Desktop software (Update my device -> View other versions -> Install)
-Rolling back to 5.0.0.xxx
-Chang the camera in tech store.

Nov 27, 2011On my Bold 9700 the camera has worked perfectly since I bought it.Now however it will not load - just hangs with the icon going round and round.Have tried re-boot, complete software update to v. 6 - nothing changes.To me it sounds like a hardware failure (well out of guarantee period sadly) but I'm posting this just in case!!

When i log in to Gtalk, it does not load properly ie, it does not show all my friends list and also does not show all people who are online (for example, if i log in to gtalk from my computer it would show 15 ppl online but immediately if i check by logging in to Gtalk through my BB it would hardly show some where around 3 or 4 ppl online) I have tried deleting Gtalk and reinstalling it but the same issue persists. Jun 9, 2010So, my phone has been dead for a few days now. I don't know exactly where to begin. I bought my phone online, but has a service warranty last September 10, 2011. It worked fine, just some few minor problems that didn't really bother me until some people noticed it, like the screen twitching as if the pictures are moving. Not as responsive when not in use, would take a couple of minutes before it would light up if I click the buttons. And phone call won't last more than 10 minutes.
Anyway, so two months ago, I had a problem, my phone just freezed and I kept doing a quick pull which everytime it loads and goes on but still keeps on freezing. Then, finally, an error appeared (JVM Error 102) when the BlackBerry Reboot won't completely load anymore (3/4) then if I click reset or do another quick pull, same thing happens. Got annoyed, so didn't really mind my phone for about three days, until finally I had it and just searched online and tried everything and finally got it to work using JL_Cmder! Which was a blessing then, because nothing got erased and was working fine, and the phone call would last more than 10 minutes, too.
But, now, sadly... I think my phone is now officially dead. After four months from having it, same thing happens, it would freeze and just turn off automatically and if I press the buttons it would not respond. The battery percentage was high, more than 50% and I am positive about that, so I was really weirded out when it would not respond when I click the buttons and it would stay black. So, I did a quick pull. It would work, but then same thing would happen, and I'll do another quick pull. Until, finally it went off...... then there another error occured (JVM Error 545), which by searching online, I thought I could fix it easily like JVM Error 102, but I couldn't or was lazy to do so because I had to wipe it off which I don't want to do, or I didn't research enough. So, again, I left it on for a day, to drain the battery I guess or whatever, because the white screen with the JVM Error 102 won't go anywhere and I don't want to remove my battery. So, after an overnight, the next day it just turned black. I could still turn it on, but it would have that sand timer thingy that inverts when it loads (no idea how to explain it), and then red light would turn on, and off then back again to the sand timer. It would restart itself like that even if I don't do anything. So, I removed the battery... then the next day.... it just died. I would charge it and if I hold the end button the red light would come on, and there it will be, even if I leave it for hours. Nothing will happen but that steady red LED light on

The websites seem to load halfway and then stop. Called at&t, they tested the phone said it was fine and they informed me that the bold didnt have the same capabilites as the storm. Can someone let me know if this is true? If so then returning the phone and getting another storm.

Jun 23, 2010My friend just purchased a Bold 9700. I am going to install a 16GB micro SD card for him. The transfer rate is SO slow and I basically want to fill up the card with music and videos. To put on 10Gb seems like it's gonna take over an hour!! Maybe even two!! Ridiculous!!Would it be possible for me to load up all the music/videos onto the card at my house, then just pop the SD card into his phone with all the media pre-loaded? Or would it not work?
Also, just a side question, but if I fill up the majority of the card (let's say I leave about 1 or 2GB free), would it affect overall general speed of the phone, or is that not affected by the SD capacity?

Jun 25, 2011I have a macbook pro and updated my blackberry to version 5.0.0.593. after I've done this, the wall charger doesnt work on the blackberry anymore. The battry only gets charged when i connect it with the usb to the macbook. I bought a new wall charger, but the same problems remains. Whats strange is, that blackberry shows the flipping clock (as it always did when I connected it to the wall charger and it loaded the battery) plus it shows the blue charging symbol on the top left.Last night, when I got the red battery symbol I connected it to the wall charger again, but I went out because of low battery.whats also strange is, after I pull the battery and put it in again, i get the following error message after the blackberry has loaded: "Uncaught exception: Index 4 >=4"

1) to take out the battrey and switch on the phone and tried to load the sofware again but that does not seem to work as the desktop software does not recognise my phone it says unknown device.

The error message reads: Your system administrator is preventing you from using BlackBerry App World. Contact your system administrator for details, Also, it won't allow me to update the OS from 6.0 to 7.1.
